I tried zapier plugins and it's far more simpler to configure and to use than Gpts action with zapier. It's also a shame to no be able to use plugins inside custom gpts

i was trying to do exact same thing yesterday. Creating openai expert that has all the latest knowledge and can create a project with correct APIs. I didn't want to scrape data but use chatgpt browsing to get the data for me but it didn't work. Can you please share the data you scraped?
It certainly knows about all the free and widely available books, but it can't go into detail about specific chapters because of copyright issues. By the way, I've personally found the new GPT-4 Turbo to be less intelligent than GPT-3.5. Have you had a similar experience?
I just tested this out by uploading a little prince book (in pdf) to a brand new custom GPT. And than I gave the same prompt to classic GPT and the "expert-on-little-prince" GPT and I didn't really notice any significant difference in the quality of the response (or level of detail). Maybe it's because of the book that I chose. Did you perform a similar test and found out something else? I know that rn GPT4 turbo is only available through "gpt-4-1106-preview" api calls, they didn't release it into production mode yet. I ran some experiments with it but not enough to conclude anything yet.

If you write something that is not easily comprehensible, such as being vague or containing grammatical errors, GPT-4 may have a more challenging time grasping your intended meaning, whereas GPT-3.5 works better for me. I can certainly notice that version 4 is more susceptible to misunderstanding when clarity is lacking.

I just checked and it's true, you do need a plus account to access it. BUT they're planning on giving access to custom GPTs to ALL chatGPT users soon. However, if you want to integrate a chatbot with your app/website, there's a better way to do it with Assistant APIs, which is what I'll talk about in the next video :)

Your instructions vary from what I have seen. You have to enable the Zapier action inside Zapier, give it a name, and then use *that* name and the confirmation link Zapier gives you. You paste those into the instructions of your GPT. I don't think your way can work. Give it a try.

if you have basic programming skills, you might find assistant apis more useful and easier to work with :)

yep, it's still a bit flimsy and I definitely share your struggles with making Zapier and OpenAI work together. I think that Gmail works the best.
