Dealerships: How can we screw this up?
Scalpers: how can I help you?
Dealerships: We need to add a $25,000 markup because its "limited edition" so therefore you deserve to pay more.
@@ducktails1695 😂😂😂😂this is another fail
Big time fail, and still gonna suffer dealer mark up
The dealerships will ruin it with stupid ass markups. Z car, supra etc!!!! Supply and demand my ass. It's dealership greed. So sad!!!!
They should do a 1000-unit run of Hellcat-powered versions. Only for the US.

It's a shame how Chrysler let the 300 get old and die, it was such a cool and mean looking car when it first came out but it's just been ignored for 10 years. If Chrysler put some effort into the 300 like Ram has done, the 300 would be a big hit.
I loved the 300s but in high-school I couldn't afford that so I got a Mistubshi Galant...and that was the closest I could get to the big body type....but all the good ones go like 300, Galant, etc
Chrysler seems to do that with a lot of the vehicles they have had.
It still looks like a second gen 300 they need to update the interior and design
Honestly, the 300 is the only good car Chrysler has to offer. It never been a terrible vehicle, but the fact that this is the only thing they can have available shows you the lack of passion the brand has now.
First Gen is my favorite and they look so much better than the chargers.
Glad to see big n/a V8 sedans still exist
Not for long.
Um the charger still exists haha
Yeah these are all being disconnected soon. Last chance to get the big v8s

@@ormand3000 idiot alert
They could have done a imperial version with a sculpted trunk, new headlight bezels and tufted quilted interior.
Strongly agree, as a car enthusiast I'd normally be more excited but my gosh there's like nothing new except the engine... a slight refresh like new gauges, bumpers/head and tail lights would've been appreciated at least. Heck, even the Uconnect screen looks the same...
Mark cross edition... Lol
@@JB-mk4ry Yes, Mark Cross, Fifth Ave, New Yorker, wood interior, different colors besides black, Yes, they could have just left the 300 as is and market this car with another name. This is not their most luxurious car ever, it's their most ignored car ever.

Bravo to Chrysler! What a way to possibly sell this car like crazy! People have missed the SRT8 version for years, and now they are bringing it back. Way to go! 👍
total garbage of a car as always 300 was except for first generation well not much has changed since that so for 2023 its crap

Hes not lying. Its a dated parts ben car now thats nothing the old SRT used to be
It’s a parts bin car lol 🗑 oh and before you inquire I drive a vette and raptor daily 😜
I love it. It’s unfortunate that it’s only 2,000 only made, and I already know someone is going to wreck this very quick.
2000 means price gouging, and hoarding. They should build to suit whatever demand is.
These are all made in overseas and people 6.4 swap these and hellcat swap these, this isn’t anything special
like the daily destruction of hellcats being stolen and run around street takeovers till they are in bits.
2,000...here comes the GREEDY ASS DEALERS...YOULL be paying almost 75k by the time they take you to the cleaners...485hp isn't that impressive considering the weight of this elephant. I'm good
how much brain you got to have to buy this garbage car
The 6.4 is great and all, but everyone wants to see a Hellcat Redeye 300. I doubt it would happen though outside of the swaps that Khal_SRT and others have done. (He has a Hellaphant 300 btw)
6.4 is most suitable for the 300c
@@smr0m670 indeed
I'd rather they gave us a V8 - AWD combo again. Even if it's 5.7 and 5 speed. Next ask would be for the 8 speed, then a 6.4, then a manual trans, then after all that is available a Hellcat. But that's just not going to happen, have to build it myself.
@@snek9353 wdym by again lol? They have the 300S AWD with the 5.7 and the 8 speed
@@smr0m670 No they don't, AWD has only been available with the V6 since '15. Only exception is police Chargers, those had a 5.7 - 5 speed - AWD option.
I shall be buying one. I’ve really wanted a 6.4 in the new Chrysler 300’s and now it’s happening. I shall be looking to buy one. Great and reasonable pricing for a luxury sedan with almost 500hp.
They had in the 300's from 2012-2014.
@@ncvwrx2759 Yeah. But you can’t find them anymore. So rare. Only 1 year of production.
@@georgethegreatest5613 3 years of production, 3130 sold in the US.
I'm not going to buy one, even if I could afford it, I like the one I have now better, or at least well enough that it's not worth the money. I'll be real curious to see how these do though. If they all sell, what the dealer markup will be, etc.
Well there's 2k of them and the waiting list is at 4k and up so you'll have to pay more to get off of someone and tbh I love my 18 300s but man that interior gets hot and all the glue melts with it so you get nice interior lifting/bubbling so I'd expect the same with these new ones
I’ve always loved the 300 srt8. The first gens are my favorite. They look so much better than the chargers, but they were never really advertised like the chargers.
Didn’t they already build this like 10 years ago? I guess the big difference is the 8spd compared to the 5spd.
What is the Same thing
They did..with same name plate...300"hemi" C...then they started making the 300 SRT8 ..but the hemi c got the 5.7 and srt got the 6.1 before the 6.4
It's 15 more hp than before and the 8 speed makes a big difference. Although they should have just brought it back as a SRT trim and make the Hellcst the limited model.
@@travisalvarez358 What I don't understand is why they didn't put the hellcat engine. It has the same HP that sedans and muscle cars had in like in 2008 lol
I'm disappointed in chrysler 300c with a 6.4...no supercharger ...my 2012 srt8 has all the bells and whistles like the 2023 300c...only difference is 8 speed trans...I'm going to buy a doner car and get a hellcat 300 built...

Can't wait till the spring. Looking forward to exercising that 6.4 and feeling the 475 pound feet of torque pressing me deep in those luxurious heated seats.
My 2013 hemi 300s has the heated and cooled cup holders and they do come in handy. They stopped that option for a while also. Good to see it back
They kept it in the 300 Platinum, it was part of the luxury group package when you bought yours. The power pedals also disappeared in 2015, I see there're back in the 300C. FWIW, the heated and cooled cup holders are an easy retrofit, I put them in my 2016, didn't even need the wiring harness.
@@robertstout6980 I have the powered adjustable pedals also. Yes I see many just going to a scrap yard and finding them and swapping out. It is a great feature.
They are used in Australia to this day 2021 models and 2022 SRT for the Police highway patrol in NSW they sound great.
In spring of 2020 before COVID hit hard I picked up my scat challenger for 32k. It had 4k miles on. Now they're like 45-50 with more miles.

Great coverage - thanks guys!
The Chrysler 300 is such a gorgeous car and only got better over the years. It's a fantastic car overall. I have a 2014 now and gotta get one of these at some point
55k isn't all that impressive. Should be low 40s.
They will sell 2k of it. I'm sure the stealerships will sell it for $60k n up.
Agreed
55K is 5K cheaper than a similarly equipped Charger and the 300C has more features.
I've got a white 2014 model. Only the 3.6, but I still think it's one of the best looking cars on the road.
Facts !!! I got the 300s 14
And more facts! 2013 300C John Varvatos Limited Edition with heating/cooling cup holders that to me is still one of the coolest most macho cars on the road.
I'll one up even Kelsey there, I have a '14 JVLE 5.7 AWD with every option. They only made V8 AWD JVLEs for one year and according to Chrysler they only made 2 of them with everything in my color, granite crystal metallic.
As much as I'd like to have this new one, I think mine has more features and the AWD is worth more to me than the HP.
@@snek9353 Wow! Mine has all the options except power folding side mirrors and the top of the line sound system. I have the Beats with power rear sunshade. I believe the top sound system deleted the rear sunshade. Am I wrong? Do you have the top of the line sound system and the power rear sunshade?
@@snek9353 awesome color you have! What color is your interior? That JVLE gauge cluster is the nicest looking ever in the 2005 to now 300.
I really loved the srt8 300 , this reminds me alot of those times I pursued one., now I’m stuck on manuals though 🤔
Not crazy about the 300 badge on the front, rather have the old school 300C badge on the side like that '57...but great to see they are installing the 6.4L again!!! I guess better late than never!
Yeah. The badge is in the wrong place. 🤦🏻♂️
This with a Shaker Hood would be sexyyy. I'm actually glad they went with the 392 and not the hellcat. The tuner in me wants to built it with a 426 stroker kit, and just let it howl
Facts. More tunable with internal swaps.
i'm glad they didn't go with the hellcat too because they already kinda put it in too many dam vehicles
The hellcat stuff also requires losing things like fog lights to fit the extra cooling. They would have had to redesign the front end to fit all the cooling.
Just what I always wanted to pay a 100% markup on. A limited edition chrysler.
Good luck
@@wicked8139 is really these end ?
I drive my 05 300c 5 days a week to work. I still enjoy it! I wish my headlight housing was that clear though
They should have put the same shifter as the challenger and chargers. I want to be able to use autostick instead of paddle shifters.
That actually sounds like a good deal. Shame they are making so few
56k for an old ass car is a good deal?
@@tehgzizlauw1787 56k for a limited production run is a good deal yes
@@tehgzizlauw1787 Yes very much so.
Mannnn, it looks great! if they could bring back their premium quality like they were known for, that would be awesome. I feel like it needs a lil more ambient lighting, leather/alcantara everywhere, no plastic, and it would sell mad. Maybe a headlight change, front fascia update, with a little more low, and just a bump to 500hp, and this car would do laps.
I agree, Chrysler needs to start competing with Lincoln and Cadillac. Up the interior quality.
Agreed that whole front dash looks old. I just saw the front dash of the new Escalade. WOW and the screen/camera looks 4K
You mean the car needs a full refresh instead of just changing a few trim pieces and just producing the same car from 2012?
@@faywhite7886 My favorite thing about the 300 is that it's rather timeless.
Sadly. This platform will be dead by the time any of that happens. this is the last hurah....
I owned 2005 300C Hemi with 5.7L back in the day and that car has special place in my heart and new one must be even better 😮
When you close the door the uconnect just flashed SRT. Does this come with the SRT pages like the Scat Pack does??
My guess would be this is just the same as the Australian model just with the steering wheel opposite and the SRT badges missing. Everything else other than the Carbon trim on the rear bumper missing as well.
Heated and cooled cupholders is such a simple smart idea I'm surprised I haven't seen it in any other car, I mean the power to price point is great but those cupholders!
Any other car, you haven't been paying attention.
@@snek9353 didn't say it didn't exist, just that I haven't seen it, I watch a ton of new car reviews and its not a common feature, though it should be
@@qnzman578 It's been common in pretty much all high end Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Cadillac, and likely more for over a decade. My '14 300C has them.
Great job Tommy! You are doing great with your videos
Man I love this car. Worked as a Dodge/Chrysler tech for 14 years. I love the way they handle, drive, look. A friend had a 2005 300C with a 5.7 hemi, that thing got nearly 30mpg on the highway!
It's refreshing to get the 300c with the 6.4L, as every man and his dog around here gets the 392 charger and challenger even when the older 300 SRT8 was available. Much more of a sleeper too
Not a huge fan of these or the charger/challenger, but it is very sad to see this is the end of the line for the big V8s in these cars. Props to them for offering the V8s in so many of them over the years
if you're not a fan of these, y r u sad to see them go?? doesn't make sense.
I had a white charger hellcat and after driving the 6.4 charger I found very little difference. The limit of what you can get to translate to the ground with traction limitations was the reason. In the end my hellcat had some serious quality control issues and was repurchased by FCA after only 11 months. I'm glad they took such good care of me because other manufacturers probably wouldn't have, but that's a lot of money to put out to have tons of problems in return.
Understand you completely I've had 2 hellcat challengers 1 was red-eye I now have a 392 charger and it's perfect
I've never had Hellcat money or a desire to own a Charger. But when I wanted a 300 I could have tracked down and bought either a SRT8 or 5.7 AWD. I went with the 5.7 AWD for this reason, traction is more important. I can add power to a 5.7, swap it, etc. I can't put more traction in a SRT8.
Nice car, I just wish this platform got a manual transmission option in the four door. I’d have been all over an R/T with a manual.
Love these cars. Just bought a 2022 Chrysler 300 Touring L with every available option to replace my 2014 300C. Living in Wisconsin I wasn't giving up my AWD for the 5.7 liter, but for the 6.4 liter and those heated and cooled cup holders...might be worth it. Probably a little out of my price range though.
The 5.7's don't come with a rear limited-slip diff. This 6.4 probably does and if you put Z-cables on the rear tires, you always make it home in the snow.
When you get stuck in the snow you gone realize which car was better
@@TheTrulove18 Chrome don't get you home.
@@TheTrulove18 But 6.4L Hemi!... Yeah I know you're right.
I have a '14 5.7 AWD JVLE,(with heated/cooled cup holders) as much as I'd like to have a 6.4 it's not worth giving up AWD. I got the 5.7 hoped up a bit and maybe one day I'll swap it for a 6.4. But given the option between a 6.4 RWD and 5.7 AWD, I choose AWD.
I was hoping they'd bring it out with a little more power, like 500 to help differentiate the Chrysler from the Dodge in a last hurrah
power isn't the issue with these cars, it's weight, 500hp from 485hp won't make any kind of performance difference
@@fallback8314 that's true but the extra power is more for bragging rights, and differentiate the Chrysler from the Dodge, not much to justify the 12-15k more for the 300C than a Scat Pack Charger in my opinion, other than exclusive/rarity.
@@fallback8314 Weight, they're lighter than either a Charger or an M5.

it’s cool, i worked manufacturing seats for dodge and chrysler and i remember the day i saw these seats, i took a photo not knowing the seats were for this unreleased car. i knew the seat were for a 300, but not certain what exactly. a short time later when we started making more of these seats, we were told that there was a strict no camera policy due to the car not being released and the seats had never been seen. i never spread the pictures but it was a cool feeling seeing the seats in these new cars
I used to own a Chrysler 300, coupe from 1966 beautiful interior and it was thirsty at the pump.
Cupholder tray with a lid in the front. Kudos on Chrysler for that. One of the best reasons to buy this car!
It's fun for what it is. Not much incentive to buy this over a 2014 model but glad it's available for the few who want it
Well the 2014 is almost a decade old so buying this one brand new with a full warranty is definitely a better alternative than that if comparing the two.
Never been a Chrysler 300 fan but I would definitely rock that, even that reddish color is nice.
Very popular car in Australia. I've owned 2 Chrysler 300 s now ,1 a 3.6 and now the turbo diesel ,one of the best looking and very well built cars to ever come out of America , besides a A model Ford and a 32 Ford v8
$55k in 2023 as compared to $48k when the 2013 SRT was new. Bargain.
With markups it will be atleast $70k.
Chrysler and Dodge seriously need to invest into more products
But they are? Dodge is making a electric muscle car, as well as the joint suv with Alpha Romeo. Chrysler is doing the airflow and more then likely other suvs
Why do you think this car came back? Because its the end of a era my guy.
@@__AverageJoe Dodge is getting rid of the Charger and Challenger and replacing it with an EV Sedan. They recently released the Hornet. That means they will have 3 vehicles, Durango, Hornet and the EV. Still not enough. What about Chrysler? A sedan that's more than 10 years old and a minivan that is not in the market demand. People want SUVs, Crossovers and Trucks.
Their budget has been drained trying to save Alfa Romeo.

I agree with this. The HP difference between the 5.7 liter and the 6.4 liter is almost DOUBLE that between the 3.6 liter and the 5.7 liter. It's a huge step up in power.

C300 was 1955, 300 gross HP. 300C was 1957, second year of the letter series, which ended in 1965. There was also a 1979 300. the first modern 300 SRT8 was a 6.1 l, 425 net HP.
Just shows how positively ancient the 300 is.
Perfection is timeless.
Even though it wasn’t v8 rwd, the 300 did come back in the form of the 300m in 1999
Meh, the LH chassis was plagued by mediocre performance. Their 4spd auto transmissions were weak, and front wheel drive paired with poor handling. Out of the engine offerings 2.7/3.2/3.5HO, the 2.7 was a dog turd with lots of issues. The 3.2/3.5 were decent in terms of power and reliability but the tranny didn't fare well with handling them.
Right you are.. Now in the day.. Ram had the Viper engine in its sport truck it was really kewl. Thats got so many things to love/ [grabs fob for 300 S]
I still believe that the late Sergio Marchionne made a humongous mistake calling the Chrysler 300 "mainstream," for the sake of promoting Alfa-Romeos, when the 2005 - 2010 and the 2011 - 2014 300s had such nice interiors being the "luxury side of the Charger." A 6.4 litre, 485 horsepower 300 with those "near, near luxury" interiors sure would have made a wonderful, undercover SRT-8 sleeper!

Thanks Tommy! Nice to see the 300’s probably last hurrah!
This is the car I wanted back in 2015 when I bought my Charger! Really like my buddy’s first gen 300 SRT8. He called it a “brute in a suit”. Next closest thing at the time was a CST-V which was out of my price range. Too little, too late, Chrysler!
I've always loved these cars.
Since the 2015 refresh FCA did absolutely nothing to improve the 300. No structural improvements to increase the car's safely ratings, no interior improvements like a redesigned dash (like the Durango that got one for 2021), no hybrid like Sergio M promised back in 2014. So Stellantis decides to improve it by stuffing a honking V8 under the hood for its final year. It's a strange world.
Finally you get the better looking leather seats like in the Charger I only wish their transmission gear shifter was the same as the charger and not this volume gear knob shifter
I imagine it wouldn't be that hard to upgrade this to a hellcat status! Hmmm
I'm glad they brought back the 6.4 to the 300. I actually prefer naturally aspirated engines over superchargers. It would be pretty cool to see a hellcat 300 but i think the best bang for your buck from Chrysler is the 6.4 Hemi. The wheels really make that car look better. I always hated the 300's wheels. That "dated" interior looks way better than the new interiors that are just tablets mounted to the dash.
Getting the power down with a 6.4 is a challenge at best. NA all the way!
4000+ lbs you need every bit of that 6.4

Too little, too late, IMO. And this is coming from a hardcore Mopar fanatic. This is the car those of us who don't particularly like the Charger Scat Pack wanted all along. Still, Fiat and Stellantis, in their infinite lack of wisdom, chose to treat it like an unwanted stepchild and stopped advertising it altogether. And to add insult to injury, there's no Dynamics Package, ̶a̶c̶t̶i̶v̶e̶ ̶s̶u̶s̶p̶e̶n̶s̶i̶o̶n̶,̶ ̶o̶r̶ ̶e̶x̶h̶a̶u̶s̶t̶ offered.
Edit: I stand corrected on the active suspension and exhaust. Nonetheless, it should have the Dynamics Package with the 275-width tires instead of the way too narrow 245s.
Agreed that's why I bought my 2014 srt 300 new when I knew they were going to screw chrysler over by not offering a hellcat version
Yet it will sell out even if they made more than 2200
It does have active suspension and active exhaust
@@lbdyll exactly!!! People just post stupid shit
I’ve rented a bunch of these in lesser variants over the years (the sport suspension package one, with the smaller engine seemed like a staple at Hertz for a while). They make very good rental cars, but it’s soooo old. That’s why it’s “so cheap.” P.S. The headlights on these suck unless they changed them.
I had a Charger as a rental. The headlights are borderline useless. Rode well though. The 3.6 is a little small for such a big car but still moved well.
The base headlights are ehhh, but the top option headlights are fantastic, very well focused HIDs with self leveling and steering.
The Chrysler 300 SRT was sold in Australia for a long time until December 2021 with the Pacer Edition being the final edition. Sad to see it go.
2005 300c still looks the best

Are these cars available in Australia??
Love seeing other journalists at events like that; hello Mercedes Streeter at 6:18!
They should of brought back the Magnum. 🤦🏾♂️
THIS is what they should have done. they should have given THAT the hellcat engine!
It would be amazing if Chrysler can bring back the 300 sedan in the future as an all-electric performance sedan. It would be even more spacious on the interior bc it wouldn't have that center transmission/ drivetrain tunnel in the second row. And it's desparately needed a new interior for several years now since the last 2015 refresh which makes the current interior 7-8 years old (with this being a 2023 model), & not to mention this is a thirsty gas guzzler even with the 8 speed automatic & RWD. And with the current gas prices (even they've been dropping), who is actually going to buy this?
Yeah instead of a tunnel it'll have a floor full of batteries, much better... NOT.
