How to install roof racks on a 2012 Santa Fe. This also is the same on Santa Fe 2007-2011.
What you need is, Genuine 2007 - 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe Roof Cross Bars, a narrow small flat head screwdriver, paintbrush, paint can opener and sponge. You will also need a step-ladder, so you can be over the car as you work. The Racks come with a set of 4 plastic replacement clips. First, remove the antenna from your car. Wedge in the screwdriver and use it as a lever to push open the cap. The sponge lowers the pressure and prevents dents and scratches on the car. Use the paintbrush to brush off the dust and debris. With the paint can opener, push out the clips. You could use a helper for this part of the job, or, lift the lock lever on either end of the rail and it deactivates both end locks, allowing you to slide the rail back and forth with one hand. Both sides have to insert the cross bars into the rails at the same time. Once both levers are up, push the rack until the end of the rail. Once the lever is released, if the rack is in the right place, it will fasten and lock. Repeat the same process with the second bar, just release the lever at the beginning of the rail. Slowly move it forward; when you hear the click, you are there. Now it is time to insert new clips. Place the clip in the opening and push it until it goes in. Adjust the cap and make sure it is in place.
As you can see it is easy to insert and works perfectly.

Thank you very much for your video I've been trying to figure how to remove my roof rails as I have a water leak in the left front and I couldn't figure out how to get the plastic off but I see it just looks like a lot of tension and then it'll pop hopefully I'll be able to tighten everything up once I get to that point thank you for your video

There are just two caps in the back. You slide both roof racks from back to front.
