Update on the foundation: not the longest staying power (about 5-6 hour wear before fading) but it did wear off in a “graceful” way! Overall I still like the finish and I’m using it daily to give more feedback!
Sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost my password. I would love any tricks you can offer me.
I so appreciate you doing a video like this! It’s nice to hear about products that’ve been out for a while and are often overlooked by the majority - we can all tend to get sucked up into the ‘latest and greatest’. Please do more videos like this! I love your channel you’re always such a breath of fresh air in the beauty community even though you’ve been posting for awhile now. Love you, appreciate you and I look forward to watching your channel! ❤️🥰👍🏼
This Covergirl and Olay Foundation is my favorite. I use primer before applying and apply with a brush for more coverage. I like cream and stick foundation because their quick to apply and provide a good amount of coverage
Thanks for the video enjoyed you testing various products. I think you makeup APPLICATION is wonderful. Not using wild colors beautiful balance of makeup. Thanks
I ahave been looking at this foundation for a bit. So many people, especially with mature skin, really like it and say how good it looks and feels on the skin. I am so glad you did this review!! I am going to try it out myself since seeing how pretty it looks on your skin!!! thank you!
Hi Shelbey! How are you? I totally agree cream compact foundation should be a thing again! MAC the mineral one was a holy grail for me. And I bought 5 of the Maybelline Lifter Gloss in Topaz. After 20yrs finally found a replacement for a Wet n Wild gloss I LOVED back then. Have a beautiful week. ❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been binge watching all your videos. I’m obsessed with your technique. You started out on YT with a baby face, I mean that in the most endearing loving way. There’s never been a look you’ve created that I haven’t LOVED🥰🥰🥰 I hope the pregnancy is going well💕
I've been wanting to try that Covergirl swirley foundation. I too, like that L'Oreal hydra perfect powder. Was my go to for quite a while. Just been trying some others atm. WOW, loving that liquid shadow!!
and also, the looks that you're creating always looks simple and pretty when you do it but so hard for me to pull off. Love your channel for those "I slept 8 hours" kind of looks.
I have been using the Covergirl Olay foundation for years, it's fantastic! The look you created is gorgeous - so are you ;) I was scared when I first saw th e l'oral liquid shadow but it looks absolutely beautiful on you (I thought it was going to be a lot darker)! Stay safe and thanks for entertaining and teaching us :)
Super pretty fall look🍂 I love the Covergirl Olay liquid foundation so much. It gives medium coverage, but would probably build up nicely to full. It leaves my skin looking perfected but still like skin, and it lasts through a workday. Heading back to the office this week, so hopefully it doesn’t transfer to my mask too much😉
Even though we are Spring in Australia this is the perfect beachy glowy look I adore... great all round look. We can’t get physicians formula in Australia (boo) but I am on the hunt for others mentioned. Love how you do these drugstore (or chemist as we say here) tutorials. It just shows you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a great result. You should try the “off duty beauty” cream blushes from Mecca. They are an incredible cream blush and completely affordable. Have fallen in love with them as my Daniel Sandler blushes which I bought nearly every shade in only have a shelf life of a year and you know how little of that stuff you need so I am completely bummed that I wasted so much money (those blushes are not cheap) on something that has such a short shelf life, where my cream blushes last for forever (clean brushes always). Hope the pregnancy is going well. You look incredible. Edit: Mecca also does a contour and highlight in the same formula which are all BRILLIANT. Also for a lip oil if you want cheap try ModelCo lip oil, it’s lovely or more expensive go Lord and Berry lip oil potion (smells divine - I get mine from Beauty and the Boutique in the UK and they have free worldwide shipping).
Shelby, your face makeup is radiant. After many years, I just rebought the Covergirl cream base and love the look. The jury is out for me on the L'oreal concealer - not enough coverage but like that it's not drying. Must try the new Maybelline lipglosses! Glad to see you doing more drugstore makeup videos. Thanks!
I’ve used the cover girl aqua smooth cream foundation in buff beige for YEARS. It’s easy to pass by if you’re not looking for it, usually it’s on the bottom of the CG display, I highly recommend if you like this Cg+Olay cream foundation. I just wish they’d bring back the +olay swirl cream concealer in the pot again, that was my holy grail forever until they discontinued 😫
Very pretty look for Fall and it goes well with your hair color. I picked up the L'oreal liquid shadow and I wanted the Topaz Lifter Gloss but my CVS didn't have that shade so I will order it. Enjoy and stay safe.
Shelby, I was interested to see how you liked this makeup- Covergirl-Olay cream makeup...I discovered this a few months ago and I use the same shade as you- and it turned into one of my favorite drugstore and some even high end foundations...it gives me a nice natural look and very good medium coverage- I was surprised at how much I liked it!☺️💕
It all looks so great on you!!! I had tried that foundation and didn’t have the same luck. I have moderately dry skin but oily still in the T zone, I am fifty years old and I broke out with the worst acne I have ever had in my entire life. I think it filled all of my pores and ran amuck.
I just got back from the store and had that in my hands, going “what is this?” I’m glad to see your take. I was looking for a foundation to deal with my dry skin. I got the Cover Girl Skin Milk. It looks promising.
I also have dry skin, and I add a drop of facial oil to any foundation and it works! I use Bliss and Pacifica brand face oil. I'll drop it onto a matte waterproof (the worst formula for dry skin lol) formula and it looks amazing!!
Love your videos. If you try on something new, I turn around and look for someone over 40 doing a review also. You lady are always on point. Of course us mature women have flaws but you show us how the products do with flaws usually. Thank you for always being honest and teaching us.
I love this look! I bought one of the Maybelline new lip glosses and love it. I will be buying most of them! I have always wanted to try the cover girl cream foundation. HA has helped my skin so much. It has to be used with other inclusive ingredients thought. Ceramides, shea butter ,niacinimide, etc. Will give this CG foundation a shot.
Hi shelbey could you make a tutorial of how to make eyeshadow with "low eyebrows" (like jennifer connelly)? I have trying to make my eyeshadow but since I dont have a high bone eyebrow I dont have much space to work on
I have the same problem! What I’ve learned to do is use SMALL brushes. So many you tubers recommend “big fluffy brushes”, but those don’t work if you don’t have a lot of space. So use smaller brushes and use less product.
I'm in the low eyebrow team with you. And I have hooded eyes! It make eyeshadow almost impossible. Hung Vanggo just did a tutorial on a model with low brows that I thought was great.
I absolutely love the Loreal Brilliant Eyes liquid shadows. I use them all the time. They last all day which I love. Hope you're feeling well, my dear! So happy and excited for you!!😘😘😘
This video was so helpful and you look so lovely. Already glowing before the makeup. Pregnancy is working for you! Thanks for another fantastic video! ❤️
Shelby. I just purchased that cover girl Olay foundation last month and I’ve been loving it as well. Will have to look for the L’Oréal liquid eyeshadows. You look amazing and are glowing. Hugs from sunny Florida ☀️🌻🌷☀️
Please consider comparing L’Oréal infallible powder foundation to the covergirl Olay simply ageless cream to powder-like foundation that comes in the jar
One absolutely gorgeous look. I’m so waiting for those glosses to arrive in Australia, everyone is just raving about them. Stay safe and sane with lots of love from Australia ❤️😊
The eye look is super pretty! I have the PF Butter Blush in a color that doesn’t seem to be around now... Rosy Pink. It’s a very cool pink which works for my pink undertones. Even if I do more of Rose/mauve or more peachy blush color, I usually top it off with this cool tone. It’s a favorite for sure. You’ve tempted me with the swirly foundation! Congrats on your pregnancy! I think you are due about same time as our 4th grandbaby! We just found out Saturday it’s a boy! Our 3rd grandson 🙂💙👶🏻💙
I know this was 3 years ago but I ran across this video again because I love covergirl ageless. Have you used their clean fresh powder in the pink compact? And what did you think of you have tried it?
I use this foundation when my skin is feeling particularly dry and/or raw .... sensitized. I have rosacea and acne prone skin, I'm very fair and 63. So, my skin may be different day to day. 🤓
Gorgeous outcome for drugstore first impressions Shelbey🤗💁🏻 I've been wondering abt that Covergirl foundation too bc I've heard great things abt the liquid. That Milani bronzer is one of my favs too. Love that eyeshadow on u. Stunning😍🙌🏼 Same for the gloss. Have a beautiful Monday doll. Xoxo~Jill 💜😷✌🏼️🌸
I always look forward to your videos and have learned to trust your recommendations. Would you please try out and review the new Supergoop CC Screen? I'm giving it a try and would like to know your opinion of the product and best application method. Thanks!
Shelbey, buy covergirl aquasmooth all shades (Ivory, Classic Ivory, Natural Ivory, Creamy Natural, Buff Beige, and Natural Beige) on amazon starting Friday, August 12. Then, film starting Sunday, August 14 and upload on August 16.
Morphe’s 9T artistry palette is $12 and looks like a pretty good dupe for your Mac eyeshadows. I’ve never tried it but it would be awesome if you could test it out.
When I was pregnant I basically had lizard skin (soooo dry 😩) and I lived by the tarte bb tinted moisturizer. Highly underrated and I still stan it 2 years later 🤣
Just a little heads up when using lots of products that contain hyaluronic acid. Please remember hyaluronic acid will draw moisture from above AND below (the skin). If you're suffering from a dehydrated skin, I wouldn't recommend HA being used excessively. Also, use plenty of essences in your skincare routine, this will provide the moisture that the HA needs.
I totally used this foundation in high-school! My grandmother would gift me makeup she didn't like.. it didn't match me at all, but I wore the hell out of it and would reapply all day 😂😂
loving ur videos!! this is off topic of this video but i know u mentioned in an older video i watched what your four top caviar stick pics were but i can’t find them anywhere
I also have arthritis (autoimmune) and have a hard time with the way so many things are packaged. I wish we’d stop focusing on aesthetics and start focusing on making things accessible for everyone.
I remembered using this and loving it. The product didn’t last last very long, I don’t think even a month. I moved on to a different formula for that reason.
Grabbed that shadow at Target yesterday and I feel like I got the wrong thing? It's extremely glittery and didn't really set down--glitter everywhere by the end of the day. Any application tips for less fallout?
Hmm...all 3 of mine dry pretty quickly and I have never experienced fall out. The bronze shade is more tedious to blend out so that could have caused fall out. I try to do tapping motions most of the time when applying them.
Update on the foundation: not the longest staying power (about 5-6 hour wear before fading) but it did wear off in a “graceful” way! Overall I still like the finish and I’m using it daily to give more feedback!
Want to hear more about that L’Oréal concealer please💄
Do you think combo skin would do well with this foundation?
Can you do a review of the new it cosmetics your skin but better foundation?
Did the foundation oxidize?
Sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account??
I somehow lost my password. I would love any tricks you can offer me.
My mom (52) was obsessed with that swirl foundation when it came out and used it for about 10 years faithfully 😁 I guess it has stood the test of time

Very pretty look. Please keep us update on both the foundation and concealer. I'm over 70 and need something light and fresh.
request: a look that's only cruelty-free drugstore products maybe??
love this look, also. super pretty :)
Thank you for the request! ❤️
I think this is one of my favorite looks! Drugstore products rock!
❤️❤️❤️
I love that Covergirl Simply Ageless foundation.
I legitimately gasped when you put on the liquid eyeshadow. I love how sparkly it is!
Great to see an honest review of cheaper makeup, especially stuff that may be overlooked, thank you for sharing ☺️❤️
Thanks for the video enjoyed you testing various products. I think you makeup APPLICATION is wonderful.
Not using wild colors beautiful balance of makeup. Thanks
Just picked this up tonight in the hills of north Carolina. Congrats on the little bean.
That foundation is my JAM! I absolutely love it.
Love drugstore makeup!
The liquid eyeshadow looks soooo pretty on you!!
I like this foundation. I have dry dry skin. I am using mainly stick or cream foundations lately.
Gorgeous!!! Love the eyes!
GREAT lip colour!
I would love to see a video of your 'one and done' eyeshadow favorites!!
I ahave been looking at this foundation for a bit. So many people, especially with mature skin, really like it and say how good it looks and feels on the skin. I am so glad you did this review!! I am going to try it out myself since seeing how pretty it looks on your skin!!! thank you!

i've been starting to be obsessed with cream products recently too. We need more cream formulas that work.

Perfect match and love the dewy of foundation 👍🏼👍🏼
I absolutely love the Physician Formula butter blush, I will have to try some of the other products. Love your simple minimalist style.

Love all the makeup on you! You look great!!
The foundation looks beautiful on your skin. Gotta try it. 😍
Wow that lid color is beautiful! Ur makeup looks so pretty & effortless LOVE LOVE

Very pretty look for Fall and it goes well with your hair color. I picked up the L'oreal liquid shadow and I wanted the Topaz Lifter Gloss but my CVS didn't have that shade so I will order it. Enjoy and stay safe.
Absolutely gorgeous! Love this look! Eyeshadow, lipstick and foundation looks fantastic! Thank you 💄💄💄💄💄
Shelbey your such a beautiful and talented woman♥️ you have taught me so much, and now I have a makeup routine that I love, thanks girl, Love you 💘
So kind - thank you!

Just got the liquid eyeshadow and lipgloss. Cannot wait to play around with them. Love your recommendations!
You look simply lovely and your achievements at looking great are effortless. Amazing.
That eyeshadow looks so pretty!
Profusion has a wonderful foundation at 7 dollars, and Revlon's Super Lusterous are divine!!
That eyeshadow is beyond beautiful. Running to target today 🤩
Hope you like it!
Shellll!!!! 👑👑👑 missed you and hope everyone is doing well
Your eyes are popping!! So gorgeous!!!

You are so cute Shelbey....so authentic and naturally....i love this so mutch on you.....many hellos from Zürich, Switzerland🤗

I like the look! And also the bgm idk why but I liked it too
This is gorgeous and so chic
Love the look as it looks so fresh! Thanks 🙏
Absolutely stunning look!!! 😍
Please consider comparing L’Oréal infallible powder foundation to the covergirl Olay simply ageless cream to powder-like foundation that comes in the jar
Love this look! I'm definitely going to pick up that foundation and the Maybelline lip gloss. Thanks for the suggestions!!
Very beautiful makeup!

I love that concealer. I'm older and have pronounced under eye texture. A little goes a long way though!
I use this foundation when my skin is feeling particularly dry and/or raw .... sensitized. I have rosacea and acne prone skin, I'm very fair and 63. So, my skin may be different day to day. 🤓
I love this eye look! I need to pick that up
I love the Milani bronzer.
I've used the Simply Ageless foundation in both the cream and the liquid versions but I like Covergirl Advanced Radiance Foundation better.
Oh that eye shadow!!
I love the gloss. It’s my favorite outside of beautypie lip oil!
Gorgeous outcome for drugstore first impressions Shelbey🤗💁🏻 I've been wondering abt that Covergirl foundation too bc I've heard great things abt the liquid. That Milani bronzer is one of my favs too. Fenty Glow is the shade of gloss bomb thinking of!
Just a little heads up when using lots of products that contain hyaluronic acid.

So how does the foundation case open? I want to try it, but don't want to break it trying to open it the wrong way. Thank you! XOXO
Looks stunning!
I love the look! That's what I wore before you introduced me to Neutrogena! It's beautiful but it doesn't last.
Hi Shelbey - what was the shade of the MAC shadow you used for your under eye? It’s such a nice brown!
The swirl is super intriguing to me too.😬😂
I totally used this foundation in high-school! My grandmother would gift me makeup she didn't like.. it didn't match me at all, but I wore the hell out of it and would reapply all day 😂😂
🤭😂
loving ur videos!! this is off topic of this video but i know u mentioned in an older video i watched what your four top caviar stick pics were but i can’t find them anywhere

Hmm...all 3 of mine dry pretty quickly and I have never experienced fall out. The bronze shade is more tedious to blend out so that could have caused fall out. I try to do tapping motions most of the time when applying them.
Thanks, I'll try that. I did sweeping motions to blend, so that may have been the issue.
