I am 60 years old. I’ve listened to thousands of professional singers in one genre or another. This man, to me, was gifted with the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. I don’t suspect I will hear one better before I leave this world.
You should take a listen to Chris Cornell. He has a great version of Ave Maria. May Chris rest in peace.
I think each singer has their own "color", I really like Jason Crabb as well, such as when he sings God on the Mountain and also Daystar
You should listen to Jason Gould. It’s Barbra Streisand’s son. It’s like Josh Groban, but clearer and more emotional. Josh has an incredible voice. I studied music for years, and I’ve only met one man in person who’s voice was as clean as his. But Jason Gould is the next level.

I would put this one slightly behind Perry Como. But, I grew up listening to that version and it reminds me of my Grandma..This is powerful and just slightly behind to me.

This was my mother's favorite song and was sung at her funeral, God bless her soul. After her death I was working and thinking about her. The music was playing in the background and all of a sudden the music stopped and began playing Ave Maria for about 10 seconds. I believe it was a sign to tell me not to worry about her. It still makes me cry when I hear this song.

I like this song very much and have liked it since I first heard it in a Mass in Christmastime. It uplifts me spiritually whenever I hear it . If I close my eyes hearing it I feel in Heaven. As a Catholic I like this song very much which is the Hail Mary with some verses repeated but in Latin. Good to listen to anytime anyplace.

I am 63 born into Vatican One. I have sang in many choirs, including for the Eminence two who have long since passed. I am so proud to hear this young man perform this in solo. It brings my eyes to tears and fills my heart with so much warmth.

I'm 39, Roman Catholic and raise on this song - mind you as a kid I was also teased bc my name is also Maria but I never expected my Mom to sing this at my Wedding one day. Now, when I hear it I not only think of our Blessed Mother but my late Mother. She had one heck of a voice. It's 3am and I awoke to hearing a character on my show singing this and had to hear more.
