Tears in my eyes! Good god almighty I have the original records I can’t believe you folks are into this. Me, I lived for this stuff back in the day. Unbelievable. Wow just wow.
Mighty work you guys! A magnificent rendition! I spotted a few bum notes lol - but it's the best I've ever heard without Michael . . . a true dedication, that fully embodies all the feel and intent of the original . . . My love to you all . . .
Yeah! certainly the intent is there and even Mike made some mistakes (of course light!) at Montreaux 81! (he missed a stream of notes in the fast run.... but of course, barely noticebale iwht a slight clik due to the very huge overall performance!). ruclips.net/video/1IGYp9SrHGU/видео.html minute ~1 : 26 you can see Mike's face while playing. .. It's a great performance! By the way! Thanks to you as well for being there and collaborating with Mike!
Long life to you, Mr. Tom! 😘 I´m really a bit saddened, that Michael obviously has some kind of problem with you nowadays, but you do absolutely right with your showed attitude: just stand above (far abouth the clouds) with the mature wisdom of age! ;-) Best greetings and wishes from Berlin! (from another Michael)
Good grief. I just watched this and RUclips threw up TB part 1 MO at Wembley 1983. I was sat right in front of Mike that night and what a great gig it was. BUT this performance of Ommadawn knocks it right out of the park. Brilliant.
Blimey, Kev I thought this performance was OK--ish and nothing more. The opening section on the nylon guitar lacked Oldfield's touch and expression and there were parts of it where he never played what Mike did on that score and did his own thing. I thought it got better as it went on but I still thought that overall it was a bit too empty for my liking. Though in all fairness for Oldfield to do this live he would have had a lot more musicians on the stage than what we had here that's for sure.
@@LeeLucas O'h come on Lee. 3 musicians and a vocalist performing intricate music like that. Give credit where credit is due. You'd pick holes in a colander sometimes. LOL
@@kevsumner2064 Haha! indeed and I think the guitarist did really well on the electric. It was his job on the nylon guitar that did not sit well on my ears especially when he played the one part up the neck at 1 min, 22 and did that same thing a bit later. That is not how or where Oldfield played that part and this chap could not play it 😊😊😊.
i am proud that this composer and his ( for me greatest ) work is so honored... thank you very much... but i still can't find access to this guitar... Mike's guitar laughed and cried with me since my childhood and youth...it was like i could talk to her...this guitar here sounds nice but i can't communicate with this instrument ...nevertheless i'm very proud of you guys and love this post ❤️🤝👍
@Shabda Sound Ommadawn was the first precious music that was coming in my life in the 70's...was the key for opening the door to Mike Oldfield...here was the German Democratic Republic and in the socialistic system we don't know anything about this music...for me ( and i tell only for me 😉 ) was this the greatest work...by the way i have all music from him - from the end of 60's to 2000+ ( Return to Ommadawn etc )... also the videos from Tubular Bells 1 to Millennium Bells...also live video from Ommadawn...and i like all of him
No tinc paraules.
Me faltan Quique, Ángel y Luis!
Splendid. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Ommadawn, and Return to …, and Rob’s ‘Sanctuary’ discs, are among my ‘most listened to’. I suspect that only Dave Gilmour and Sandy Denny get more. Teen of the 70s or what?
Estupendo !!! Me parece sublime lo que hacéis. Que buen gusto y que ejecución !!! Felicidades.

Excellent cover version of this vintage classic.

Wow,great performance.Ommadawn has to be one of my top Oldfield albums..Beautifully executed....round of applause from Leicestershire!!!!
Love it. In tears...
OMG... that's Ruben Alvarez !!
He teaches guitar in the town where I live, alongside the vocalist Ariane Valdivie.
An absolutely superb rendition! Well done.
Magnifico. Enhorabuena!!

Honest performance. With only 3 instruments + voice would always be very difficult.
Ommadawn is an absolute masterpiece.
Thanks for remembering us.
GREAT Tubular Tribute, GREAT Robert Reed. Mike, listen please: This is your most valuable legacy!
Excelente
Made my way here upon hearing of Mike's retirement. Thank you for continuing to keep his music alive.
Wonderful!! Would LOVE to hear this with a tribal percussion section blasting away at the end!
Que Grandes los cuatro!! !....
An intense and beautiful performance- thank you for this wonderful happening in honour of Mike Oldfield and the 45th anniversary of Ommadawn. 🙏🏻😊💙
Oldfield Fan Approvement. Great tribute. I enjoyed it very much. Thanks!!!!
My god. Tubular tribute with rob reed! Ultimate tribute to Mike.
Thank you!
OK, I'm impressed! (lots of understatement).

1. Ommadawn
2. Hergest Ridge
3. Incantations
Really surprised that someone places Tr3s Lunas above that. It's by far his worst.
Thanks for the gift, Ariane, Richard, Ruben and Robert. No doubt, you have the spirit of El Maestro.
Magnífica interpretación
Impressionnant !
CONGRATULATIONS 👏👏🌷🌷THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Wow, beautiful work.

Brilliant piece as usual❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻
Wow! Bravo! Awesome!
Brilliant ! So good ! I hope Mike also listen to that performance.

Great Omadawn.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Fantastic and tremendous version! You made an impossible work: only 3 instruments and 2 voices…
Blimey, that fast guitar section around 7 mins... It looks even harder than it sounds.
I realy realy liked it, but I missed the drums a bit at the ending to be honest...
¿Te divertiste Sr. Reed? ✨
Nice reproduction of the ouvre
sorry but who is robert ?
Versión descafeinada.
gutted i thought mike was a one off seems i was wrong

great sound, love ommadawn more than tubular bells.
It makes me so loughing... "Oh Madonna" in Italian means "Oh my lady"...
Epic!
