They don't really care about the buyers either. There is still noo request total button on the mobile app, so buyers often have to pay s/h for each item, instead of getting a new combined invoice. So much for eBay's advocacy for combined shipping!

The second "ebay international shipping' is used when the buyer has the item shipped to the US, but his original address is in another country, in this case, ebay will charge you a fee for 'international shipping' even though the item is not being shipped internationally, just due to the fact that the buyer registered with an international address. Again, eBay will charge you this fee even if they do not ship the item to another country, simply due to the fact that the buyer originally signed up from another country.

Now I am restricted for a whole year and can only sell a much smaller amount of items than normal. They could care less. To them you are a worthless peon!

Shopify - for SERIOUS sellers. It's not relevant to small private sellers who are being shafted by ebay. Ebay is now free to sell, but next month (Feb 2025) they will charge BUYERS who buy from private sellers. Private sellers are now at a double disadvantage, ebay will add fees to buyers from private sellers (although they will hide them) AND sellers won't receive payment until the goods arrive. Although most small ebay sellers will roll over and take the double indignity. I think ebay doesn't really want private sellers any more, and what we need is a version of ebay as it was before it was swamped with chinese sellers and shop shipping businesses.
You have recommended 3 alternatives to eBay seem like a lot of work, and sounds kind of sketchy. As someone just trying to make money without a STORE, the eBay fees are high, yes, but there is no rent, no electric, no water, etc. I will say, as a past ebay seller, coming back has been a real pain in the tukus! I think your best option is the old fashioned way- brick and stone store. Shipping would be very expensive, so your best option is just to have a website for the advertising, much like many places would do. You could still sell your furniture on it though, but it would be pickup only, unless you wanted to use your own transport to deliver the furniture.

I had a listing that has 17 views in one day eBay dropped it to 1 view and the worst they want me to promote it. It won’t happen.
When I post on eBay I get 15 or so views the first two days then never any more. It seems eBay limits views to make seller spend money on advertising!

Unfortunately, none of these platforms work for me because I restore and resell vintage furniture.
