I have a Soprano 12 hole in C from Imperial City Ocarina. My notes do not sound like this. Is it because my Ocarina is in a different pitch than yours? It is smaller, so maybe that is. I just can't get it to sound like you. My A note does not sound aything like yours, so I can't even play the start of the song.

yeah i was looking at the tabs and only one note seemed to show the back holes being pressed but it did not sound the same for me when i released the back holes so i played the whole thing with the back holes pressed and it sounded right. was confusing the heck out of me
Generally as his production quality improves, there's an incentive to re-do older videos and improve the presentation. It's common among many channels based around music tutorials. Especially for very popular songs since those videos will likely be how a new viewer will first be introduced to the channel.

You should check out and cover some of auroras songs. Her music is definitely well suited to the ocarina.

What about the back holes? Do you cover those the whole time?
Yes it helps to get a lower pitch but one is what make the noise so don't cover that one
