5. Who is your consultant? I currently don’t have one. My sisterlocks were established by a consultant; I’ve been maintaining my hair myself for 6-7 years.

I just got the refreshing spray today, do i have to apply it in between shampoo or can i just use it normally to hydrate my locs when needed?
Wow. Beautiful locks. How long are your retightenings? And do you wear a bonnet every night?
Thank you! I self retighten so a weekend if I do it leisurely and don't go past the 6 ween mark. If I did it with a purpose, probable 8 hours. I prefer satin pillow cases because I always forget to put a bonnet. Bonnets for sure every night when traveling :)

RUclips UNIVERSITY! I used to be apart of the "black girls who can't do their own hair club" too. Practice makes presentable. I'll never say perfect; my braids are still lopsided sometimes so you're not alone hahah

How do you avoid making the cornrows tight? Mine always pull at my edges and nape.
As you start the cornrow, start it a lot looser than you think. Don't worry about the security, it'll tighten up as you complete the braid. Starting looser keeps it less tight!
Hi Imani, I love your hair and videos. My Sisterlocks are tiny also and they are difficult to deal with the bumps in the individual locks. They thin out below each bump and I cut all the this parts off my locks. I am concern that I am cutting my hair too much. Did you ever experience this issue? If so please give me some advice. I have over 500 locks and I am in the process of trying to maintain all my locks. However, it’s difficult with the bumps and thinning below each bump. Please help 😢
Hi honey! Hmmm. I’ve only ever experienced bumps when I’ve gone too long without a retightening which leads me to believe that you might need to get retightenings sooner than you have been. If I let my new growth grow past 7 weeks (about an inch of hair), I’m leaving my sisterlocks to be prone to those bumps that cause thinning that you’re talking about. Of course consult your loctician but I’d say consider regular maintenance more frequently!♥️
