Very nice to see this earlier army of yours JP, now in the hands of Charlie and to hear him explaining everything like a veteran Napoleonic Marshal. Also lovely to meet you both at CWD today and have the privilege of playing my first game of General d'Armee with your 28mm armies, thank you. Chris G
Great looking game! There’s a different sort of visual spectacle in smaller scales, where you get a better sense of large units deployed across a bigger area - It’s like the difference between the foreground and background in old battle paintings, showing the uniforms and commanders in the front and the big lines of massed troops stretching into the smoky distance
I have a couple of large foam board hills that I usually use and you may see on some of the videos when I use more desert style terrain. The mats are really good at obscuring what’s underneath, so on some of the videos I have channelled my 12 year old self and used books ! and they actually work really nicely for ridges, sometimes with newspapers dropped over then to smooth the edges…cheers JP 😀
15mm works very well for a big game like this, great to see. I need to get mine out and do some rebasing and repair work on them. Do you still use General D’Armee?

Thanks Chris…..a day of gaming with a great crowd…..we couldn’t of asked for anything more 😀😀
Good game. 15mm does offer advantages for large battles.
Thanks Martin, was nice for a change even if Charlie’s scenario was a bit wacky 😀😀
Great show Charlie!
Cheers 😀😀

Love it! Thanks for sharing!
What do you have under the mat to make the hills?

We did and it worked pretty, but a bit loose in the application to keep the pace up for Charlie….😀😀
