There’s quite a fleet of An 2 in Cuba used by the army and the state It’s mainly used to deliver news paper to rural areas and for fumigation and also to train pilots. Yellow fiber hits it’s peak in summer and once in a week you can hear the noise of that engine flying meters above the rooftops 😅 My dad told me a story that they were coming back from “Island of Youth” is an island located south west from the main land. Long story short, the plane lost its engine while above sea They had to request different airstrip to land and locally they did make it safely. Watching this machinery fly would make any young kid dream of becoming a pilot I gotta say it did it for me 😊
So happy to see that Daizy found herself a hanger. Visited her many times during my training at Jack Taylor as she soaked up weeks of sun.. Great video Gents!!🍻
“that the preservation of the passed is of upmost importance that defining your self upon the theoretical paled in comparison compared to the rock you carved yesterday” truer words have never been spoken only if we would stop trying to rewrite history and learn, we would not be in the position we are all in today. great story telling, loved it!
Check the history. An-2 was made in Novosibirsk, Russian SFSR. Maiden flight of the Antonov An-2 was accomplished 6 years before the entire design bureau was moved from Novosibirsk to Kiev by Nikita Khrushchev's order. All sources are open, it is unnecessary to make any falsifications here.
My father used to fly AN 2 in Poland. Amazing memories from countless summers at Baltic Sea doing scenic flights in the 90s.
I was just in Poland last week and saw these wonderful flying machines!
What a unique airplane! Great job documenting it as well, Thomas. The content just keeps getting better. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks so much! Appreciate it

What a gorgeous beast! Hauls a ton of stuff and people into the bush. Pickup truck with wings. Thanks for the fly-along.
More like a tank than a pickup 😂 appreciate your support John!
They just keep getting better! Great job guys keep it up
Thanks Ryan, appreciate it man!
Appreciate your sharing flying. You are very lucky to be able to do what you love. Flying is a dream in my HEART.
Very lucky indeed! Thanks Lance
Amazing, a plane so light and fluffy! yet large enough to rival the inside of a Goose.
Still useful and functional
Great vid 👏👏 good to have you guys on board again 😃✈️
Thanks Jason, couldn’t have done it without you man! ✈️
Amazing plane!
A work of art!
0:19 That's the cleanest looking AN-2 I've ever seen. Usually they're quite a bit more beaten up than that... :-)
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
The only thing that comes to mind when I see an AN2 are the words : "Relax, I'm a pilot." Also "Hey John, BARREL ROLL".
....huh.
Awesome
Thanks Marcus!
I really want to fly one. Even if only for a couple of hours
I jump out a Antonow I I , a view static lines and just one free fal at 8.500 FT
This aircraft fuel type please tell
Burns 200L of avgas per hour...
@@ThomasMarrow thank you
How many gallons does it hold and what is the distance?
Lots of gallons and not so much distance 😂
Has to be the original tin parachute.
I wish maule would make a 4 seat 180 of this plane
I do not believe that that big plane does not stall. In that case, they should have never lost a single plane to such a condition.
Its ex polish SP-KTS
Interesting! Will do some research
came here from stranger things season 4
Noup it's not Russian it's Ukrainian because an 2 or Antonov 2 been made by Ukrainian aircraft company Antonov
