A Rare Look Inside A Tyson Meat Plant In Arkansas | MSNBC
I’m sure they care about the employees health and wellness.
That’s a laugh.
mighty mouse mighty mouth.
I’d pay them more than they are currently getting.
Yeah not really they only care about their product not the people
:(
I worked at Tyson before and they are as worst as smithfield.
@@babydrumphf8262 There's always one who wants to twist something around.
Have you been wearing masks back then?
Manuel It’s “Did you wear mask back then?”
Sweet Dandy um it’s not. I know English very well. Better than you.
@@cashew515 You mean "Did you wear a mask back then?" Don't be correcting others when you can't get it right.
Watching in Australia , Not one state has met the guidelines set out by the CDC yet you want to open up, Why have the guidelines, You open now everyone will get sick then take it home with them to there families .
@Long Range Rifle learn common sense and maybe you might hit reality
@Long Range Rifle Oh workers infecting each other and their families is fine. You can cook the infection away and be safe.
Meat packet has to pay his own medical bills your taxes shouldn't help.
@Long Range Rifle but tide pods are disinfectant I saw your president recommend that.
Ron Mayb jt55、
Until we can see an unguided tour, a complete behind the scene tour. Also be aloud to talk to employees. Till then?
Only until the camera has stopped rolling iff the company really cared about the people they wouldn’t open up the plant
Rest assured 45 has threatened the owners, no doubt or paid them off .
@Eddy Hanson And all the young folks know for certain they have no underlying conditions.... wait they have been dying too. Try getting insurance now , because they are going to test you for covid 19 first then decide if they will pay the bills if you get sick. Good luck with that.
Asymptomatic young people are the most likely to spread the virus throughout the community. They may not be the most vulnerable, but they are the most dangerous.
the American people will not be denied their freedoms or their chicken you psycho liberals
Eddy Hanson and iff they don’t they won’t get paid Trump has got the people by the curlys by the looks of things, go back to work or go hungry cause I ain’t gonna help ya sort of thing
Also( working for CDC) I get plenty of e-mails from employees from Tyson complaining that their building is taking absolutely no measures in protecting them...its utter BS they are spewing.
That's not surprising. :(
I am never buying another Tyson product again. They do not care about their employees and for that they will never get my money again!
what about asking the employers? would be nice to know, since when they clean up all facilities around! And the tents? I think they were built for the reporters break!
900 Tyson chicken employees in Indiana have tested positive for coronavirus!!!!! 😳😳😳😳😳
That's really sad. My sister worked in a meat packing plant for 20+ years, I am glad she is retired now. Hoping this is resolved soon.
When people are merely a commodity, used and disposable to bring more profit, for those where 'more is never enough'
If I were not a vegetarian before, I would be after seeing this. These workers have been pretty much forced back to work in these toxic places, some under the threat that if they were afraid to go back they would be removed from unemployment. That threat hasn't been an American business practice since the Robber Barons of the 19th century.
Canneries are pretty much automated and "manned" by robots these days and the process involves high temp steam and sealing. Meat packing is actually working with the raw meat at room temperature. We need to remember that the Coronavirus came initially from an animal to a human. Last time I checked, meat came from animals. Pets and zoo animals have already caught it in the US.
Yes, I know that the Orange Menace did that by calling the meat business "infrastructure." It was several mid-western GOP Gov.s that told the workers they would lose unemployment if they did not return to work.
How sugar coated. Total BS. Have you been inside a slaughterhouse? Open your eyes.
Just a curiosity, how much have you been paid for this ad?
I’m a truck driver I used to deliver for Tyson all I’m gonna say is that if you’re anywhere near a 10 mile radius of this place you can smell the death that comes out of this place. It’s the most disgusting putrid smell I’ve ever smelled and I advise anyone to stay away from this god awful place
It's like that at all chicken plants lol...I used to work for one called Pilgrims...I was a live chicken hanger and only worked their for 3 weeks because I couldn't get used to the smell.
It's really not that bad
@@hypejones3769
It's not because of the smell. I'm very happy I don't work at those meat processing plants, especially the ones for chicken, turkey, nor duck; because of POULTRYGEISTS!!👻
yes you can and it is HORRID
Won’t compromise on that profit space! Screw your “health and safety” Tyson.
This was 2 years ago, but just FYI, these companies have no sick day policies(or at least the one i work for smithfield foods) and at the moment we have flu is going around, but the way the attendance policy is, you get in trouble for calling in sick, inevitably forcing sick people to come to work and handle your food. Yes they sanitize but if someone with the flu handed you a burger, told you they washed their hands, would you take it?
"Team members"?. Is it a club? Please say emplyees.
As you can see they wear a lot of protection on the floor, always have, to protect the product. The workers could be spaced if they slowed the line speed, which is like asking the Pope to become a Buddist. However, the greatest risk will be in the washrooms and lunchrooms. They need to be sanitized non-stop as shown. What would really help is give the workers slightly longer breaks and stagger the people leaving the work floor.
I will not buy meat from a grocery store. No studies on raw meat, poultry or pork. I'll go veggie first.
Yes, I just watched Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken! And decided no more chicken from the grocery store. I have several small poultry farms close to me. That is where I am buying poultry from now on. Leaning more and more to being a vegetarian.
CDC actually does has studies on meat, it is not able to carry, contain, or transport the virus at all. So you're safe. I WORK with cdc, just go to their website and type key words In
@@lukep.5957 Okay, if you trust what the CDC says. Anyone who goes against what they want to present to the world can go missing or end up mysteriously dead.
@@vegskater1741 well I work for the CDC so..
Why someone would consume anything from Tyson is beyond me
They can't be sued anyways due to the production act on meat factories. It is one of the provisions that they are not liable.
It's not just Tyson. There is JB, Smithfield ...
@@ruthdepew7212 I know where my meat comes from for sure!!
It’s delicious
Employees are EXPENDABLE to these corporate CEOS!
I worked in a plant and my temperature was checked on my hand after I told them I had a fever .. Got a point because I was sent home even though they saw my condition..
How much time has the chubby boss guy spent showing solidary and standing right alongside the workers?
I took a tour too i was wowed on how much gear they make you wear 3 siff kinds of face masks 2 gloves and def looks like it is up to par and i will be working for them next week and im proud
How's the job going I'm thinking about applying myself
I’m sure youve changed your mind since 😂
I'm a trusser on WOG 1, people are pretty dramatic lol
What "team" exactly are you referring to?
Notice those in management are on a large and white side. 🤨
But not amazon boxes or walmart products touched by TONS of people. SupplyChain is "breaking" on purpose. Manufactured shortages should be evident by now (2022); if not, "they" are winning the game.
(Keep thinking: I’ve a Masters in Public Health; wrote my doctoral dissertation on global efforts to tackle AIDS pandemic; co-authored a book on global health governance; teach MPH courses on health systems & global health & I’m not qualified to lead a national #covid19 effort.) Chelsea Clinton hinting Jared Kurshner's on pandemic team
Temperature check can help, but it's way short of being safe. As long as we have no idea, the percentage of asymptomatic people with the virus, test, test, and more test is the only way to know the workplace is really safe.
Great time to be vegan 😉🌿
@r385671 hahahahaha that made my day
the only thing I eat is cucumbers I've never eaten anything else in my life but cucumbers
Dominic Parker If you want to be unhealthy then yes go ahead.
Rofl. The tent is new. The partitions are new in the break room. Lack of splatter shields, lack of personal space, and of course no sick pay.
Remember they look after their staff.
If feasible thats the key word 0:51
Trump has changed the CDC, and not for the better.
Protect the meat not the worker.
Tyson meatpacking, what a cruel place.
These plant owners are more concern about what Trump wants than the safety of the people working there.
What do they do with contaminated meat.
Sell it lmao. You think those billionaires want to waste a few dollars?
Larry Graves There’s no such thing as UNcontaminated chicken meat. It is all full of salmonella because of the appalling conditions the poor birds are raised in. Eggs are problematic too; they can’t be the tiniest bit undercooked without being unsafe. Best to buy free-range chicken and their eggs.
@@annchildress1058 plenty of people drink raw eggs
This is not about the corporate world being worried about no food....it is about...all that money!
I'm struck by the lack of creativity these businesses are displaying. They aren't doing "all they can", which would be to shut down or throw down some capital investment at such low interest rates. They should weigh their opportunity cost in having down time vs. adding to the problem, likely extending it and ultimately exceeding the cost of temporary reduction in productivity.
When famous writers like John Steinbeck wrote "Grapes of Wrath" (look it up) and George Orwell wrote "1984" they both envisioned evil characters such as Benito Trumpollini and Moscow Mitch.
Clarksville Arkansas Tyson
People stays home but they still need to eat right?
BOYCOTT TYSON FOODS
They don't! Plus the product is terrible. Be careful there are Bones in the Chicken strips.
Stop eating chicken and beef and pork. This is cruel!
No it's not you pansy.
@@darknite-vu7sm FAKE ACCT YOU PANSY HIDING BEHIND A PSEUDONAME.. do you know what that means pansy
He is a liar test your people, save some lives just looking at your plant looks bad . All this is is big company’s having the government do the dirty deed of not allowing a worker to sue the company if and when you contract the disease covid19 ,then go to the hospital and you may die. Your loved ones then cannot sue them for unsafe conditions . I’m sure you’re all trying to get your politicians who you donate to ,to make these stipulations that your employees families cannot sue due to poor working conditions that may cost employees their lives.Which clearly you have mr tyson .
They were processing human meat. That's why they got taken down during COVID
Not having to and not wanting to are rather different.
Temperature check up? Lmao what about people who don’t show any symptoms? I know people that have the virus and they feel better than me
Checking temps and requiring masks is just theatre. How about testing everyone daily and doubling their pay.
Yes wearing masks is just theater
Think I’m going vegetarian for awhile.
Yes! And support the local farmers and businesses. Going to a new farmers' market tomorrow I have never been too before, 1st opening of the season. I shop regularly at my local Farmer's market nearby. Love the local veggies.
Linda M. I stopped in one yesterday. Bought this big mason jar full of amazing potato leek soup and fresh baked sourdough rolls. Also picked up some local honey. Yummy and a couple plants Screw these big corporations. Ok well Aldis does good. Workers get hazard pay. Safe clean environment plus they give you a clean cart when you walk in. You want my money. Show me. Stay safe Linda.
You couldn't pay me to eat that meat, #Covid19MadeMeAVegan😂
I will eat meat, but not from a company like that
Those look like KKK tents
It is the south...
@Long Range Rifle With that username you certainly would be one to know about the KKK first hand.
@Long Range Rifle Unless you cause yourself to be in a such a situation.
I refuse to eat Tyson chicken
might be a good idea.. ugh
Thank goodness I've been a lifelong vegetarian & don't consume meat products!
that’s because you are a feeble minded snowflake. I didn’t go through millions of years of evolution to eat f**king grass. The human species was built and has evolved to consume meat protein as part of it’s diet and it’s f**knuts like you who wants humanity to take a step back.
Unless they are working three shifts, they are not maximizing social distancing.
Disgusting
This is a lie tyson is a joke 🙄
Yeah, we need meat! So important!!! Just think of all the fat people who could die without their fried chicken. We can't expect them to switch to vegetables during a worldwide pandemic! That would be just asking too much.
I’m not convinced that Ol’ Barry has the sense of a 10-year old? 🥴
Long Range Rifle Gee! That was so clever I’m beside myself with Orange envy! 🤪
Unless you can assure they won't catch it or die from covid you haven't done your very best.
to the ones saying they bus in people to work they hire and fire people all day every day they have a line around the block of people wanting to work no need to bus anyone in
Haven’t they always already worn masks? If so, shows so that they don’t help much at all if you don’t also keep distance
This is why we're vegans
DOCTORED for the VIDEO ! 🤬💩👎🏼
BrandonfuckOnomics hard at work! Let's go Brandon!
YOUR SERVICES ARE NO LONGER NEEDED 😮.
Tyson is money 💰😈.
Go vegan ✅❤️😬🦷💪😉
im for what the companys are doing good job ! but maybe they should send test kits to the businesses processing the foods all over the world, before they come in to work.! and that way we the people will have a better way of knowing where and how much the cova19 is spreading.?
This companies do it all the time plus forgot the temperature inside the building corona virus can survive on freezing temperatures.
greed not lives...
Estoy buscando trabajo
it's humane to automate all these boring torturing 8hrs standing/day job, let them learn and do service jobs.
Dear, Tyson I could not find any Buffalo wings at my grocer more please! 😋
Trump wants his chicken nuggets.
It’s really unnecessary to have those between every person. Look at everything they’re doing already 😂😂 weirdos
Im not a vegan or animal lover activist type of guy but I couldn't care less a out how they treat staff after seeing the pig abuse video, sickening, why should we care about their employees after seeing such ill practise
Tyson and all meatpacking are disgusting, I wrote a paper for school about this kind of industry, and the only ones that "win"are the ones that owe the meatpacking. Tyson and the ones of its kind cause pain in animals and if people that eat meat "think they are winning anything, they are not, all they doing is to make Tyson executives richer. When one eats meat he or she is eating the result of a alive being being destroyed in a terrible way for its flesh, the ones buying it are contributing to animal cruelty and for a kind of food that is NOT even that good by any means, many years ago I used to eat meat and I stopped because meat is flesh and flesh it NOT good and represents cruelty against animals.
Suggestions:Invest in Anti bacterial sprays And Other Flu killer! / No more six feet distance rule !
*DEPLORABLE & DESPICABLE...👁👁*
What a crock this all was…🤔🤪🤪🤪🤫
LIAR
hi ho covid 19 and away we go
Oh no closers close together don't get a respiratory illness lmao
This is pure trash journalism.
Perdue Farms product's are Grade A+
Give them a break. If they put petitions between each individual worker and from the worker in front, have them in hair nets, gloves, and face masks, they have more protection than a health care worker in a hospital who by the way doesn't have a petition between co-workers and patients. I would say this plant is fine. They should all do the same and the workers will be ok. If there is an outbreak after all of this at the plant I would say it has more to do with what the workers are doing when they are off the line.

is awful for employees.. ugh they do NOT care about employees at all! Always an underlying threat of losing the job if anything is brought up.. etc Oh I really hate them
