Hi Peter Lloyd, thank you for your channel I just want to leave my two cents. You are absolutely right Oblique Seville and Kishane Thompson, as not run full out as yet, and God help us when they do Noah Lyles run through the line. And in my closing I pray Jamaica really understands that it's not America vs Jamaica. But Jamaica vs the world. I watched the Netflix special Sprint and in my opinion for the Domination that Jamaica has had on the track the show was very disrespectful. I live in London England, and if England doesn't win they would prefer the Americans to. They just pretend to like Jamaicans because of how Usain Bolt transformed the sport Jamaica please wake up just my two cents.

  • @Douglas-Allen
    @Douglas-Allen 2 месяца назад +21

Noah’s natural limit seems to be 9.8+.
He runs very hard and strained and typically produces a 9.8+. It’s similar to Gatlin. Gatlin has a forceful and strained sprinting style and when he was in his prime, he would not go below 9.7+ and he is much better than Noah in the 100m event.
A number of athletes are currently running 9.7+ and with regard to Kishane, it’s very obvious that he has not reached his peak and is just being selective in the number of races he runs and how hard he runs to avoid injury. When it comes to the 2024 Olympics 100m men’s final, Noah will have to run 9.6+ to win gold, or 9.7+ to try and get a silver medal and based on my analysis of his recent performances and times, he will be fighting to get a bronze with a 9.8+.
I’m just being real and practical🔥

Asafa used to do the very same thing, run very fast times before shutting it down at the 60, 70, or 80M mark. Come championship finals, his body wasn't accustomed to pushing beyond 70/80M mark and hence the constant disappointment.

People dismiss wind calculations if you tell them to factor them into every clock time. In 2023, I told everyone that Shericka would not beat Sha'Carri at the WC even though she had clocked 10.65 at the Jamaican trials. People said I was crazy, but the reality is that Shericka's time had a huge tailwind of +1.0. You always need to adjust for zero wind to make a fair comparison. Omanyala ran 9.79 but with a huge tailwind of +1.5 and at very high altitude. So, do you all believe he will be on the podium?
Here are calculations comparing Kishane and Lyles. The only reason Kishane might win is if his 9.77 was achieved without running flat-out, we just don't know.
    Kishane Thompson: 9.77 with +0.9 wind = 9.81
    Noah Lyles: 9.81 with -0.3 wind = 9.79

Noah was running is heart out, in comparison to Kishane! It’ll be a great 100m final.

There is a thing called pressure, that changes everything. Its the moment which matters, who handles it best, Noah far more experience to go through the rounds. Kinshane, is unknown.

Kishane has the target on Noah's back. Not the other way around, as you said it. Noah's the Champion!

The problem is Kishane has not done this on the world stage...ie the Olympics going head to head with the best sprinters. Now, he is talented, but Paris is different when the pressure is on.
Whats worse, if Kishane does not medal, he will be the laughing stock of track...amd field. Point is , let's wait to see what happens during the Olympics before being declarative about Kishane being better. You got to beat the defending champion on the track

Ok my prediction kishane gold photo finish between oblique and fred for 2nd and 3rd. Noah down the track he couldnt get back to the leaders and fred closed for a medal.

Kishane and Oblique will factor in Paris. I think Noah has peaked and will not run faster than in the 9.8

Salute to you on this great day.
Sad to say, I am just not sold on KISHANE, whom, I have not seen or heard of, enough. There is this feeling of discomfort, that wont go away. It is possible that's because, I don't want anyone to displace, Hon. USAIN BOLT not only as the GOAT, but as being irreplaceable. Sure all records are broken eventually, but NOT IN MY LIFETIME.
    NO WAY NO HOW
    BLESS UP

I have been saying this from the last world championship, Noel Lyles is old he is 27 years old and at his peak he will never run 9.7 Kisane, Oblique, Tobago, Akeem Blake and there are some other young athletes out there are under 25 years old and they will run faster.
Go back and check in history most Athletes can run their faster time when they are under 25 years old.
Bolt, Blake, Powell, Tyson Gay run their fastest time under 25 years old. Check their running record and you guys will see.

The rounds he did at The Jamaica National Champions don't count? What will be the difference with the rounds in Paris? I'm asking? I see no issues with him. If he's healthy he will be difficult for anyone to beat. Appreci-love your contribution to the discussion. Bless up 🙏🏾
