I encountered this issue with my Deathadder during the coronavirus quarantine and it was driving me crazy. What a great surprise this fix was! Easy to do and worked perfectly. Thank you very much!
@@zoofl8947 4 more months, until every button showed issues, even side buttons. Gotta say that I bought the mouse around 2014 and it has seen 2000 hours of gameplay. So obviously I got a Deathadder v2, hoping it lasts the same.
@@gatuler3939 i had the death adder for 6 years until I started having problems. I also bought the death adder 2 and after one year the right click is getting junked up. The first one was better
The sensitivity issue is even worse on the Deatheadder V2. I did not have much issue with the sensitivity on the first Deathadder, but when I got the V2 I right click by accident sooo many times. I also think the left click on V2 is a little too sensitive. I will try this fix for sure because the sensitivity is annoying!
dropped my mouse a few times from brand new, wasnt very old and the right clicker was getting too much action, even just the weight of my hand on the mouse would 'click' it. did this same trick with a different rubber type material (rubber tape) that i built up in layers. now my 80$ mouse that was new but collecting dust is now back into work mode. only 1 screw holding my case as i have the razer abyssus kb and mouse combo, good fix!
i hear alot about other razer mouses not having problems , it's just Deathadder mouse's that i always hear . I had Deathadder 2013 and Elite and yep after a couple of months left or right click problems start to happen.
I have the same issue, but it's not just Razer, it's basically all mice. In fact I tried some 10-15 different mice in a store today, and I found that the Razer Basilisk had the most resistance for this type of problem. I "guess" I have manly hands that might cause the issue, but it's still pretty bad of most manufactorers (Logitech, Corsair, Razer, Steelseries) that this is such a big problem for some. Maybe they only test these mice on lanky asian guys? Anyway, even though I picked the mouse with the most resistance, I'm still getting this issue, so I'm opening up my Basilisk to try the same thing.
had the same issue with a razer naga... I switched the click pulsators thinking that was the issue and now I'm thinking I'd have been as simple as some foam+tape...
deathadder chroma same issue, I dont really have to press this button anymore just gently move my finger alone it and it sometimes registered a click. Going to do this now packing a few layers of insulation tape onto some card see if it works for me.
I dont have the exact problem, but I've had the same problem with both of the deathadder mice. Both the v1 and v2, where the left click would feel like it had something stuck under the left click, even though I've had the V2 for 2 months now.
@Bruno Cristão no for me its more like an annoying thing and not a hardware issue. It's just that whenever i click i can sometimes feel the mouse "click twice". It doesnt register as an extra click it just makes the noise but it's still annoying. So im afraid i dont have any fixes i can share with you
What an AMAZING workaround for such a SH*TTY mouse. Seriously, I've updated the firmware two times now since everybody seemed to solve this problem by updating it, but no way. This definitely did the trick, but having to come to this solution does not speak very well about its quality... Also, two of the keys of my Razer Blackwidow Chroma keyboard now are not lighting properly. Razer never again!
i have issue whit right click and if i wanna use right cllick i have to press it kinda heavy i have razer deathadder 2013 and have been using it for like 3 or 4 years until today it hase been loyal to me
This might be a bit late since you asked the question about a year ago, but double clicking is usually related to a switch going bad. You can find replacement switches really cheap on Aliexpress.
try to clean the microswitch with some alcohol. But be very careful not to damage the part, also there is a small white piece that jumps after open the microswitch
I found another way to fix the sensitive right click. There are two buttons for the right click(The big conical one just beside the scroll and another tinier one beside the big one. What i did was i wedged a small piece of tape(folded it) in between the big conical button and the small button.

How long did it work?

Gatuler oh I got a razer baskilist 2020 $150 btw and 3 months later it just kept double clicking

Its honestly insane that a company this big can keep producing a flawed product
i will never buy razer again, i have the same problem. all they told me its firmware issues. but it didnt help at all
And you believed that? It can't be anything but a hardware issue if the button depresses (clicks) too easily.
Had my razer naga since 2012, started to get a bit wonky recently, might need a new one after all these years. Never had a problem tho
This mouse has a good renown for a reason. I wouldnt abandon this beauty just coz uve been talking to some crappy minimim wage tech support
i have issue on left click button. after 2 years using it. great mouse but razer quality really bad.
I have a DeathAdder for 14 (!) years with thousands of playing hours and i'm still using it today. Cannot beat that quality.

works with razer deathadder v2 pro, they just have to use a smaller tape on the same side and you no longer feel that annoying sensitivity

exactly they build mouse's for girl hands now because most teenagers even guys are just girly. even fitting in my hand is an issue lol

For me razer has good ergo, its downside are its mouse clickers. Just bought Huano blue clickers and soldered them.
My problem is the right click flicks and can’t hold the click in time. This is the solution for that mistake?
You don't need to take the whole thing apart to get to the top piece. It can come off by itself.
how do u do that?
Yeah how do you do that? Because I don't want to just pull back on the left and right click and snap them off.
My mouse is so hard to click i need to put in 3x the effort to click
what exactly did u place on there?
Nice fix! Thanks for sharing!
deathadder chroma same issue, I dont really have to press this button anymore just gently move my finger alone it and it sometimes registered a click. Going to do this now packing a few layers of insulation tape onto some card see if it works for me.
Do on the left side
Thanks i go to try with my Razer mamba tournament édition

i have razer deathadder 2013 and have been using it for like 3 or 4 years until today it hase been loyal to me
Bruno Cristão took it open and cleaned it
Bruno Cristão i just took the cover off and cleaned it whit compressor
Is this to fix the mouse from double clicking? because my goddamn mouse is double clicking and its so frustrating.
KenWorkProduction yes, creating more space prevents the double clicking

I found another way to fix the sensitive right click. There are two buttons for the right click(The big conical one just beside the scroll and another tinier one beside the big one. What i did was i wedged a small piece of tape(folded it) in between the big conical button and the small button.
He added a piece of foam under to increase the 'weight' of the right click button.
Watch the fucking video..
