i just bought the France version and really love it so far beside the performance, should i stock up or wait and buy the italy one when i will run out? BTW, first time on your channel and i loved how casual you presented it and the pertinence. Subbed 👍
Thanks for subscribing dndavid 💖 both versions differ in some ways. For now I tend to say that the france version has a bit more lasting power/ longevity on my skin and has a bit kore nuance but that could be due to the fact that the made in Italy version is newer and maybe needs a few months to breathe and get some oxygen in it to deepen the smell.
Didn't know what to think when I saw it in the shop. Never saw that kind of box before. Cellophane wrapped, the label on the front was in the middle (not framed in white) and made in Italy?? Of course I had to pick it up, but left it unopened till I watched the vid. Same batch code as yours. Already have the made in France version and I've grown to accept it as an adjunct to Tide laundry detergent, but after listening to your breakdown, it looks like I'll be returning it. My heart is still with the OG. Excellent vid Dacob. Really appreciate your insight. 💙💛

hello, how do you like the made in italy 2023 version now after some time has passed? Do you place it as the same level as made in france version?
So update. I own a 200 ml made in France version of Intenso. I recently (July 2024) purchased a 125 ml bottel of Intenso made in Italy (written on the front of the box). So, I suppose the new bottles will all be made in Italy (again).

I have a 125mL bottle of the OG I got in 2016 hidden in a small fragrance store in Hong Kong, the smell brought me back but stupid me stored it incorrectly; the bottle's still half full but it's gone stale, it smells like sour tobacco after a while 😩 sealed bottles are going for stupid prices nowadays. Which formulation would you say comes closest to the Euroitalia version?
I bouth it last night from sephora the new look as the video but its made in Italy! I wonder how !? It should be made in France right ?
I guess very good news that this edt is made again in Italy, I’m going to buy it. I had one in the 90s and some years ago a version made in te UK and it was like the one made in the 90s but like “reduced with water” (it didn’t last long). I want to try this modern italian version.
So I have a box/bottle of The One EDT that says Made in Italy on the front and has the notes listed on the back like this in the video. I was worried I got a fake but I'm glad to hear production has moved back to Italy! Thank you!

Thanks so much for your honest and in-depth review! The original will always be linked to one of my first infatuations. I was so much in love with this guy and his perfume. After he broke my heart, I could still feel weak in the knees walking the street getting a whiff off a passer-by wearing D&G PH. The only remedy to get over it proved to be buying my own bottle and become one with the fragrance. Even though I don't own the original now, I still remember what a perfectly layered piece of art it truly was! Let's hope the people at D&G are listening to your recommendations, Dacob! X

The strangest thing is that my UK version is MUCH stronger than my France version and as a result is much more complimented. The high compliment factor of the UK version may also have to do with the perception of it being more modern with a toned down tobacco. The France version is slightly heavier in the tobacco note and I suspect closer to the Italy version in overall scent character but the juice is overall weak and performance really poor. Just advising for what its worth. The UK version is more soapy and citrus centered but has enough tobacco to maintain the scent character that we all love in this fragrance. That tobacco note seems to be getting stronger over time with the UK as well. I will be seeking another UK bottle. Trying to save the last of the UK version whilst using the French version. It begs the question as to whether this fragrance matures and changes over time which would mean that the UK is now really coming into its own. I dont have the Germany version. It would be interesting to smell that one. I would encourage those who have slept on the UK....or simply not given it a chance to give it some wearings. You are likely to be very pleasantly surprised.

Awsome review. To bad i bought this version thinking it was gonna be much closer to the OG. I skipped the made in France version for that reason. What your opinion of the New Made in Italy version compared to D&G Pour Homme Intenso? I think Intenso is stronger because it is an EDP but not by much but I can defintely smell the musk in the drydown that the EDT doesnt have but other than that I think they are pretty similar. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
*Update* towards the end of the you said that you think that Intenso is a joke. A lot of people dont like it. Im one who does. you can share your thoughts still if youd like.

I am still not a fan of DG PH Intenso. It just does not smell right to me.
I still remember the days that the Original version of this version came out. I have used a few bottles of the original in around 1995/1997 years. That version was strong and had an extreme longevity and a massive sillage. It was also a bit oily. The newer versions are weak and disappear quite fast when you put it on. Let's see how this new Italy version will be.
The Magic what was about is just gone.
That original Euroitalia version was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately it was so good, everyone was wearing it.

I just finished the France bottle an bought the Italy one an it does smell different the Italy smell more alcohol in the first sprays when the France bottle you put 3 sprays an that’s all you need. 5- to 6 hours good review
Thank you. 🙏🏻💖 They are different and I feel now after some months have passed that the made in France version has more longevity. But maybe my new made in Italy version needs more time to mature a bit first.
D&G homme Euroitalia version in my youth - so many memories! I love it deeply. Along with Chanel Platinum Egoiste (which, also today, is OK). I have not tested D&G made in Italy version though. I am just curious whether your love for Chanel PE is weaker than for D&G nowadays?
Platinum Egoiste in its current formulation from a few years ago is not for me but I have not tested the new formula yet.

Wow! Didn’t know they went back to Italy! I’m still nurturing a vintage bottle, but I felt the made in Germany opening did have that insect repellent smell, but they fixed it with the UK, I have the France bottle which is really nice.
I wore this one to death when I was 25 when it came out but then I discovered pour monsieur by Chanel and it’s been my signature ever since , I recently got 75ml edp which I love as it’s modern old school and lasts ages
I too adore Pour Monsieur but my favorite is the eau de toilette.

Not as strong as the nineties version. It is a bit short lived on my skin unfortunately.
So happy its an upgrade to the Shiseido one. I love the Shiseido one but ofcourse we all want the OG back💖 Need to try this!
Its slightly warmer in the dry-down than the shiseido version.
Hi, not sure if you can help me with this inquiry, but it seems that you are knowledgeable about Dolce Gabbana fragrances. I bought a villa some years ago, and when I was cleaning I found a very large bottle of yellow colored liquid labeled Dolce Gabbana. Now the villa was built around 1991, and the bottle was hidden in the dark at the back of a basement understairs cup board, as if it had been forgotten about by a previous owner of my home. It was unboxed, but it looks in great condition and appears not to have been opened. There is no sediment in the bottom of the bottle and I have kept it in the dark since I found it about 3 years ago. I have photos of it which I can send you if you are interested. Any thoughts you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks
Sounds like you might have the red cap bottle of dolce & gabbana … in the red velvet box. That was their first perfume from the early nineties. Gorgeous aldehyde fragrance with warm sandalwood at the base. Enjoy 😉

Not that I know of.
And i Don't know anything about Intenso,i hope it get closer to the vintage than this new one.....(which is already intensified in a way that i can't wear it in high heat where i live....our heat is something starting from 40s to 50s degree....just to make it clear because other coutries's summer is 28° 😅

@@essence-tiallydacob9611 Yea thanks, in the future I'll get the new 2023 version once my French version is empty, funny story first time I smelled the OG vintage 1994 was sometime in 2002 by an old freind and we were at a very fancy party and it was the first time I ever experienced a super sophisticated and elegant and masculine fragrance and I was so hooked, last year I finally bought it but then I realized it was the French version and I didn't notice that the original 1994 was gone. But I'm happy with the French version I also have The One edp.
I love this version - but miss the old bottle with the foil label.

Dolce & Gabbana cologne is absolutely driving me bonkers with the numerous reformulations.
I agree. So many reformulations and distribution changes throughout the decades.
the word " reformulation " that is easily used by perfumers and designers is nothing but fraud .. imagine its 1995 and you give this 2023 version to mr. domenico dolce and mr. steffano gabanna .. what would they say ??? they would say " this is a cheap fake copy of our perfume " not the reformulation . not fine tuned version .. they even sued the seller and distributor of that ... but now they themselves take exact price of the perfume and give us sth else ..( sorry for my bad englsh )

Ok, mine opinion... no matter what version you take, the magic what was all about is just gone of those reformulated D&G Pour Homme versions, so dont bother anymore and go to find some other fragrance.
I will tell you something, the most close one to the original seemed to be something from Pull&Bear Potion for Man, I never had that one so I cant confirm if it was, but many said it was... anyway, I stopped looking for it, save your money and time with it and buy something totaly different, bc there are a lot of new frags around you will fall in love with as well.
Sicily was the only perfume to ever get me away from Chanel no. 5...it was around for about fifteen minutes 😢😢😢 well, and Boucheron Trouble..also defunct.

I know! It was sooo good! It needs to come back. Everyone would question me about what was I wearing, and how great it smelled. Maybe that's why they discontinued it, because I honestly got bombarded with questions all day long!

This is not about criticism or hypocrisy …. Yes D&G did do some very offensive things in the past but they were not dangerous …. Balenciaga used children in suggestive S&M imagery … think about the psychological impact of not just children looking at those images but more importantly adults looking at those images … advertising is powerful and that’s why brands spend so much time and money carefully crafting those images … I doubt Balenciaga will be allowed to do anything like this again but what if they got away with it and then they took it to the next level and the next … and then other brands did the same … Filipe please take some time to think about this a little deeper … the D&G issue is not at all the same as the Balenciaga issue

It depends on your mindset...if you think a woman should/could only wear floral fruity sweet perfumes this isnt for you. I'm a woman and i love this to bits. And not only this 'male' perfume. You're really missing out of you only wear perfumes 'for woman' to be honest💖
Its a somewhat more herbal fougere fragrance but could smell cooling and nicely spicy on any gender that enjoys a bit more bitter opening notes and slightly warmer drydown. 💖

It does not matter if it is because they have banned some ingredients or probably like many other houses dilute and eliminate the most expensive olfactory chords.
I have tried hundreds of perfumes and this remains in my memory one of the most incredible fragrances ever created in its original version.
