The haunted playground is cute, rather than scary. My grandmothers both died a few years ago. My son was very well behaved at his first great-grandmother's funeral (even though he was only about 4 at the time) and went off by himself among the graves. When I went to fetch him back, he tugged at my sleeve and asked "Who's the little boy?" I asked him "What little boy?" and he pointed at a rather disused looking tombstone which had several faded photos set in glass on it, one of which was a little boy of about six or eight. I read the names on the tombstone for him, and saw that all of the people buried there had died on the same day. My boy looked up at me with his huge blue eyes and said. "He was in an accident, but he's here with his family so he's not scared." He was also at his other grandmother's funeral, and delivered a short and beautifully concise eulogy which concluded when an gorgeous Mourning Cloak butterfly started fluttering about as though on cue, and he pointed at it and said. "Nana's still here!" He's special, that way...
I love the way that Danny is doing a full series of Urban Legends from around the world while the rest of the team is backing him up with specific kinds of Urban Legends that may not be covered in his series. I enjoy these stories for various reasons: scary is fun, the similarities between stories from different places show a common ground with ideas, moral focus, and fears, and when stories that are different from anything you've heard before crop up, you can appreciate the differences between your culture and theirs and learn something new from them.
I still remember my visit to Hallstatt, Austria and visit to the beinhaus (bonehouse). It was a small building just on the edge of the Church cemetery where families would have the skulls of their loved ones placed in it because they couldn't afford to have a grave for them...suffice to say having well over a hundred skulls staring at you while you're in there was unsettling. All the other bones (or femurs at least) were piled underneath the skulls
I think that the playground one is more sad than scary, because they just want to still be normal living kids. Also, there’s one that mainly only people who live in or near Columbus, but there is a little ghost boy named Georgie who died from falling down a staircase, and people give him toys to keep him happy.
we have a reportedly haunted playground in our neighborhood. the only thing separating it and the cemetery is an old brick wall so it's basically playground, cemetery and wall in the middle
It's spelt TOOWONG not Toowang the fact that the cemetery is almost smack bang near residential and near fortitude Valley (which is a weird enough place LOL) the Vampire and the two sisters stories only started in the 1980s but there are no graves on 12th Avenue of the sisters or Lilly. In the 1930's during the great depression people used to sleep in the cemetery where they would be woken by strange lights and sounds, in WWII when Brisbane was full of U.S soldiers, residents could hear sounds apparently coming from soldiers graves from WWI. All of these occur on "Spook hill" around the bottom of 12th Avenue. the most horrible thing that has happened in Toowong Cemetery is the continuous theft of the 13th Avenue sign. If you hear any story that starts with "at the corner of 12 and 13th Avenue" it's bogus because they don't connect but besides the urban myths you stated "Spook Hill" is beautiful during the day but people don't go there at night even the guides on the ghost tours don't like being there alone :/
I hate walking through a cemetery because I feel like I’m disrespecting the dead by walking on their remains. I avoid their headstones and I walk really lightly through their plots. I imagine where their remains would be, and I try to avoid that zone. Idk why I do that, but I just cannot step on them. Does anybody else do that?
I live in Alabama and me and my family went to a urban legend cemetery it's the grave of a violin player who loved his bed so much he was barred on it it is said if you touch the tips at 12:00 am on full moon he'll come up and play his violin when he is done a red big muscled demon with 4 arms and fiery eyes will show up and attack you if you have a car it will not work when you try to escape
I hope you guys keep doing these videos. Every state or in the USA and every country in the world. That will prob take a while but would be really awesome and gives a lot of material to use. Keep it up one of my favorite channels on youtube.
I live in Alabama. Plus I went to Huntsville and I saw that playground when I got on the swing I noticed one of the swings was moving by itself then I heard something next to me laugh. I got scared and told my mom we left after that.
I went a couple of months ago with a friend and the same thing happened. That one swing was going the whole time, and not a breeze or gust of wind came through the area.
You forgot little gracie in bonaventure cemetery in savannah ga. Its a life size sculpture of a little girl who died at 6. If you take flowers from her grave her statue cries tears of blood
When I was about 8 I moved into a very old house in a small town. I still live here, but when we first moved in I heard loud dragging noises from outside. The first night we stayed there I woke up in the middle of the night and saw a dark figure in the corner of my room. They didn't have any features, but something drew me to think it was a female. I called her "The Lady In Black" I just recently realized it was a movie that wasn't much different from what I experienced. She appeared every night for over 2 years, even hovered over me. Finally I had enough and Screamed for it to leave me alone, and prayed for what felt like hours. I haven't seen her sense, but I had to move away from that room. Knowing that it's an actual movie is just weird to me...
I think I might have told this story on another video, but the graveyard opposite my university-the Friar Bush graveyard-is said to be incredibly haunted. The people buried there are victims of a cholera epidemic, and there’s a mound in the centre where the bodies are said to be buried. When people approach the mound, ghostly hands are said to touch them and grasp at their clothes. Now, as I said, this graveyard lies parallel to one of the university buildings, and beneath the building lies a maintenance tunnel that leads to the nearby Ashby Building. Staff members are known to refuse to enter this maintenance tunnel alone because, aside from an unnatural coldness in certain areas, the same sensations that people reportedly experience in the graveyard are also said to occur in the maintenance tunnel. The staff are certain that the tunnel is haunted by the ghosts of the graveyard.
Sarah Johnston it’s right beside my house in Stranmillis, it’s well known about the ghosts, it’s scary to think they’re right beside us... but don’t cause any harm!
Danny, Landon & Rebecca, I am so happy I stumbled across your channel some months ago. I subscribed on the spot, and haven't regreted it. I share many of your post, and just wanted to thank you all.
I have been to the Salt Lake City cemetery. A friend once told me, if u go there at night, u can hear ghosts talking if u have a recorder with u & if u take pictures you'll see the ghosts standing by their graves.
The cemetary in paincourt, ontario is haunted by a 13 year old girl that was murdered by her mother and left by thames river. Me and my brother saw her clear as day but she had no face it was just pitch black and it was in the middle of the field. We thought it was someone drunk in the field. Never ran so fast in my life
I lived in Huntsville and really like that playground. The local historians get upset if you call it "The Dead Children's Playground" and insist on it being called, "Maple Hill Park". But, it's true, you can see the swings swinging even when there is no wind or breeze and there are cold spots.
I played at the playground at #10 in my childhood. My mother, believe me or not, is a psychic, and was about to start sobbing because of how many dead children she said came up to her and asked her to play with them. I started to believe her when a swing starting swinging by itself, and it wasnt a windy day. Yay childhood DX
Jackie Cronefield that would crush me as well. I was a police officer at one time. Children are one my weak spots. I had a little girl that had been in a car accident in my arms when she passed......nothing i could do. I had some other things going on with my job but i was trying to push through and make it work. That baby dying was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back and i resigned....turned in my badge and uniform....and left law enforcement behind. I had seen kids beaten and mistreated and then that happened. When wed arrest someone for abusing a child it took everything i had to not seriously hurt the abuser but in this case there was no fault to be mad about. Was just a freak accident but i never wanted that to happen again. Since i couldnt guarantee it wouldnt i walked away. I ended up needing antidepressants. So what your mom went through wouldve crushed me no doubt.

At one end of the trolley line on Canal in New Orleans, there is the meeting point of three cemeteries. Goofing around one day, I decided to walk through one. I came across a tombstone that had been vandalized, and it was broken into multiple pieces. Something made me take out my phone and snap two photos of the tombstone along with the back of a more elaborate raised one behind. Days later, I finally looked at the two photos for the first time. I nearly dropped my phone when I saw a man's face looking back at me! My phone is a cheep pay as you go phone with a small screen, so I wasn't totally sure of what I was seeing. I have since saved the photos to my 10 inch tablet, and there is no question as to what is there. I've shown it to other people without telling them anything, and they've ALL seen just what I did! I've had numerous odd glitches ever since adding the photos to my tablet to add to the oddness.

This is why I respect all cemeteries. I don’t want any spirit fallowing me home, nope no coming home with me without being invited.
I literally have seen dead people. Mostly at school I see a freinds spirit. I am not bringing her name up
This is why i don't disrespect the grave in anyway shape or form because i care about my sanity and life way to much
