The mini-games....the announcer....man this game has so much nostalgia.

WOW!! IT’S A ONE-HIT WONDER!!!!
“Taken down in one hit!” The announcer made this game so epic to me.
Yeah, I’ve been wanting announcers since I was a kid playing Pokémon stadium. It makes it feel intense and great.
Taken down on the word, GO!!!
He literally makes the game. The nostalgia
U cant finish this game without transferring or playing for ages
@@appletherapythey have an optional announcer in Pokémon Battle Revolution for the Wii.
Should've waited and released pokemon R/B/Y along with this. Having rental pokemon was ok but seeing your own team beat the gyms was so much cooler
Even when it does release, you can't import pokemon, which is going to make the game way harder.
@@Saltyoven if they announce RBY and/or GSC for Switch Online, they will DEFINITELY make the transfer functionality work. How could a company port two 25 year old first party games to their latest hardware and make the experience WORSE than it was back then.
My best guess is RBY is coming to NSO, but ever since the 3DS eshop went down, all bets are off for exactly when.
No
Maybe later 🤔
@@Nthsey if not by summer or fall or winter this year, I give up on Nintendo Switch Online! 😒😒 I'm really trying not to loose hope and faith, praying 🙏 that the Pokémon Gameboy games do eventually come to Switch. 🙏 Nintendo would be stupid not to; if they don't, I give up on Pokémon as a whole. Scarlett and Violet were a major let down.
This was legit my favorite game for a while when I was a kid. I didn't have an N64 so I could only play it at my friend Cody's house and I remember I took all my stuffed animals and gave them stats and made them battle, because I was obsessed.
it’s true. it was my house.
It’s true, I was the N64

@@WhalePoacher-jt3sl Dude, that's just mean.
its true, I was the tv.
Man, I need a new Stadium with its own minigames so bad. 1 & 2's were both great.
Imagine the possibilities with all 9 generations in one stadium game instead of only 1-2 gens, literally millions of combinations and matchups
Its probably too much of an ask now, like 10 gens instead of 2. Though a rental randomizer and Gym Leader Castle with everybody in it would be ridiculously cool
@@audiovisualcringe Could even use special rule types: Megas, Z-Moves, Terealization, etc.
Pokemon Battle Revolution is probably the latest game that was based on Stadium, but that only went until Gen 4.
Stadium 3 (Pokemon Battle Revolution) is out on Wii. but ye i really want a new on Nintendo Switch too!
I still have both Stadiums and still play them on my N64 man 😭 These games were amazing
Me too can’t wait for this game next week as well as Pokémon stadium 2 which I hope it’ll be coming out next after this
This was actually my first video game I ever played so I look forward to playing it again.

Same my dad got me this and stadium 2 before he passed those games hold and the franchise will always hold a huge place in my heart forever!!
nice! 😄 mine was actually Super Mario Bros, I guess (I'm "only" almost 27 though!) and then Banjo kazooie somewhere around then/after that! 🤔🙂😄😍
same
Yeah because the Switch has nothing
"Pokemon Cannot be transfered to this game" Never has 7 words hurt me as much as those
Easily one of the best games of my childhood! I played this SO much with friends back in the day.
Playing the minigames with friends was so fun back in the day, I always wondered why they never bothered to make a game based on that or like a Pokemon Mario Party.
seriously, I been waiting for some fun side spinoff games from pokemon aside from legends series. like, my dreams were for a new pinball title, another stadium that could incorporate at least the first 4 generations as a start, then DLC could be 5 to 9. maybe in sets, a party title would be fun, and another puzzle title would be epic.
probably because it would directly compete with Mario Party... then it could be commercially bad for Mario etc
Please release red and blue version and make it compatible! (Same with gold/silver and stadium 2)
I don’t know about this Pokémon Stadium…..if something were to happen I think it would be a bigger hit. But with the closure of the WiiU and 3DS eShop, it is difficult plus difficult with no connection between the 3DS and Switch. Just think about it, the Switch with Pokémon Stadium is like Pokémon Stadium on the N64. Pokémon retro games R, B, Y, G, S, and C on the 3DS are like the games on the GB. Imagine the connection of the 3DS and Switch where it feels like you’re playing Pokémon Stadium overall. Sad to not see that but hopefully something comes
@@cdawg4574 I think that he's saying that they should put red/blue on nso
@@cdawg4574 its already been proven prior to this announce its all possible but for whatever reason Nintendo is opting not to do it. Many suspect the disappointing pokemon day announce was because of the leaks, and that we should've already had red blue yellow, fire red and leaf green.

@@cdawg4574 the 3ds is over 15 years old, no?

Im not sure if you know but some Nintendo hackers actually proved that the Online service could actually do connection between different systems. On top of that since we now have the game boy emulators maybe Pokémon Company will play nice and let us have the first three gens!
@@TMac-os1hy exactly and they just removed some 3ds services so let’s hope they add virtual console
@@TMac-os1hy Yeah I remember hearing about that. There's plenty of ways they can do it, they just need to actually do it.
@@TMac-os1hyMy concern is that they'll do a separate app for the Pokémon games. That's not an issue in itself, but seeing as how they don't want people to have easy access to cloning, they'll most likely disable cloud saves for that app. They'll most likely disable savestates and rewind just like how savestates weren't on 3DS Virtual Console.
Emerald also had a very easy cloning method, so they might not give that one to us.
@@Dad_Shoes Cloning isn't an issue, Home can detect clones.

People hate that minigame?
Which is?

The Clefairy game hahaha I love and hate that game
I really wish we could have somehow incorporated the 3DS' Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow onto this. Still a great game that everyone will remember for the ages. Quick tip: If you miss hyper beam, you still have to recharge and swift will still hit regardless of fly or dig. This game had some funky mechanics.
They could have, they just didn’t want to
or they could add red blue and yellow to switch online
@@Saitken "You have a bunch of money, just figure it out!!!" -- Sales dude who doesn't understand how operations work
@@Saitken They easily could have. They could have all of the classic Pokémon games on the switch, with online functionality, and the ability to transfer your Pokémon to Stadium, as well as to the newest entries in the series. I think they don’t do this in fear that access to these titles in their fullest capacities would lose them sales on the new, shoddily-produced games that they pump out year after year.
@@catkaboodle it may not be profitable enough for them to dedicate the time to do this, but I'd imagine they could emulate a pokemon red and blue save in the gameboy tower Stadium had, so you could play through the gameboy games and transfer over pokémon from those saves. Tricking the game into thinking there is a pak inserted.
This game is very challenging to beat with rented pokemons only. Especially R-2. I wish the Stadium series had continued to this day, because they were interesting and difficult challenges for the player. Pokémon Stadium is my favorite game of all time.
Edit: i changed the "almost impossible" for "very challenging". Some guys are saying it's a piece of cake because they beat it as kids. It's not easy, and if you actually made it: Congratulations! You are true pokemon masters.
It's possible but very difficult and requires luck, which sucks because some bad luck means you have to start all over again. You have much better chances with a hand trained set of Pokemon where you can customize their move list and such. Sadly thats 40 hours of work I'm not willing to do in 2023
Bro I was 10 when beat it with rentals; I didn’t even know about the game boy thing; if I was able to beat it multiple times at that age, then pretty sure you can too
I agree that Round 2 can get pretty difficult but NSO offers save states so it actually becomes giga easy
