There is some RNG but handling X-18 gets much easier if its only poltergeists. DONT run, walk slowly, they dont see you if you move slowly! Kill one when it floats next to you and run upstairs to reset. Have fun. I've played hundreds and hundreds of hours and managed invictus only once.
@@Eroktic Oh shit mb! i thought u said u were doing the secret quest when i asked before. its the lab i mentioned that has a very buggy dialogue that will eventually give you a choice that you MUST decline to get the full experience. If u kill the doctor in the swamp that you talk to at the beginning of living legend he will drop a key to a hotel room and some documents that will start a quest. the quest wants you to go to all the labs in the zone, and after that will point you toward the warlab under generators. you need to kill the doctor before you pick up any of the lab documents or the door to warlab wont open even if u have the code and all the other lab documents because the game is made out of spaghetti and wont recognize that you already picked up the other documents. if you loose this run i HIGHLY recommend trying it. the code to the final door is on the lab X8 documents from outskirts. its the Chernobyl disaster date. it is by far the coolest part of anomaly and almost everyone sleeps on it. but again the door will not open unless u kill the doctor BEFORE grabbing any of the lab documents. and make sure when u get to the buggy broken dialog you choose the option that sounds like you're declining an offer.
@@GustavoGvming I did x18 and mm before talking to doctor, I haven't talked to anyone yet. now I have to go to red forest "petrenkos most wanted" or something like that. (I picked those documents)
@@Eroktic unfortunately picking up any of the lab documents before killing the doctor bricks the secret quest. it wont register that you've grabbed them already and will want you to pick up documents you already have. If u loose this run try it out. or if u complete this run you can try the secret quest with ISG since their main quest also makes u go to all the labs. (isg story is boring tho) It works best with military cause u can kill the doctor right after spawning at Agroprom so you dont need to go far into the swamp and then never need to go there again cause swamp sucks.

ibb.co/jRFh95R this is invictus setup, i didnt chose faction and location. make sure to toggle off debug in anomaly launcher (in mod organiser select anomaly launcher to run and turn debug off. you have to do it once, switch to instant launch after you disable)
Honest question: how are you able to do invictus on a faction that does not have the story? Can you use a disguise to get the story mission? Or are you just doing the challenge in spirit?

Explaining to people like you 100 times and still dont get it. It does not mattet how you save the game since its invictus run. And its not convinient to open menu and save it manually if you enable that.
I think it scales the difficulty up depending of how long you have played. My first ever X18 was easy too, but on later runs when I did it later in the game cycle it was considerably harder. Edit* I just watched the video now and he actually seems to insinuate that it is so by doing it as soon as possible.
@@michaelbrindley4363 have you tried turning on the stutter fix mod within the launcher thing? The one where you can customize the list of mods? Other than that, Im not totally sure why. I have lower specs and it doesn't stutter for me.

I did X18 Military Man run first try, during my first playthrough during the first hour ever playing Gamma. I don't know why people find it difficult.
X18 is probably the easiest lab other than Agroprom.

in the mod pack there is a stutter fix you can turn on. Otherwise your pc might not be able to handle it. whats your specs
