It’s for anyone interested in studying in France.
It cannot be combined with Tapif but after your tapif contract you can start applying to join the next cohort.

i need to ask a question. is it a must to use campus france? because i applied for a school in france without campus france because their (campus france) application closed last year and i wasn't aware. i just want to know because i am scarted shitless that i will get rejected because i didnt use campus france
It’s not a must but it’s the easiest/ most secured route for international students to gain admission.
Even though you applied directly, if you get admission, you will still need to go through campus france for your visa processing.

Nobody is a big word because I know a bunch of people have been able to find a way around it and create their own account to follow the procedure since yesterday.
It’s unfortunate they are asking for a French number though, when the country part can be any country.
