Your interesting talk is so clear and easy to understand, Gordon, even when you speak in Doric. My wife's father's family emigrated from Fraserburgh to Detroit early in the 20th Century. I have been to Fraserburgh on more than one occasion and each time I have to ask them to speak more slowly and each time they revert to English for me! They all told me that they speak Buchan but I understand that Buchan is the region and I wouldn't dare to query their local knowledge.

Very interesting and I quite agree with Gordon that childrens poems are a good way to help keep Doric alive. I'm currently (re)reading the King James version of the New Testament and I have to say I'd probably be better off with Gordon's version! Hats off to him for doing this. A the best, John.
