"When you love someone with your whole heart, there's nothing you won't do to keep them safe and comfortable. It's not a sacrifice and it's not a burden. It's a natural instinct." Love that.
@The Cheddar Oh for Heaven's sake. What is wrong with you? You do realize that your impression of Hannah and Shane is simply a reflection of your own values, don't you?
I feel like Hannah gets a lot of praise for being a “good person”,etc. but I think Shane is obviously a wonderful person with an awesome personality! I think they are lucky to have each other
The weed story happened to me and my husband. He was starting chemo and was told it would help. His first time trying edibles. I decided to join him to support. We also broke the golden rule. He ate the whole piece of cake and I drank the whole juice. We were up all night and just a couple of foolish grandparents high as a kite. We needed that laugh after getting some of the worst news of our lives. 2 1/2 cancer free years later we love sharing our marijuana mishap story. 😂🤣
I’m reading this at 4.30 am as I’m awake,I had a giggle I’m so happy you both enjoyed your treat and that your hubby is cancer free,I must say I have never tried it but if it helps go for it,all the best.
The thing I love about this relationship and why I keep coming back is because even though their relationship is unique, it is also equally just the same as my relationship with my husband. Its a relationship filled with love and respect and I see that was the most prevalent aspect of their relationship. It’s helped my rethink and reframe disability and made me see people as people, no matter their limitations or differences.
As funny as the regular videos are, the Junkyard Mayhem format is just WAY more funny and warm! Shane, your sense of humor really shines in this format, and you are both so relaxed. As someone else said, I feel like I'm listening to friends talk casually.
I think these two are amazing human beings - individually AND as a couple. Both smart, funny and loving. I appreciate their vulnerability and honesty, so much. And I think they are doing amazing things for the entire disability community as they highlight issues of ableism and accessibility in the US (we have SO FAR to go)!
That story actually had quite a touching and beautiful ending. It’s such an absurd misadventure involving poorly timed drug taking and bizarre random old street clairvoyants in the middle of the night, but the moral of the story- Shane finally coming to terms with how his adoring wife would do anything to care for her husband and losing the fear of that being a burden for her- that is a truly touching lesson that you wrought out of such a seemingly oddball kind of story. Excellent chapter. Bravo!
Coleen here. When my husband and I were doing IVF, no one wanted to hear us talk about details. In our experience they had so many misconceptions it was hard to resist trying to explain the process. I hope you share anything you feel comfortable sharing. People who matter will support you. ❤️❤️.
I’m pregnant with my first rainbow baby at 40 after 2 rounds of IVF with our one and only genetically normal embryo. Wishing you guys all the best on your journey! 💕

Definitely share your journey. It lets people know they aren’t alone. My daughter and SIL are expecting their second IVF baby in May. They have male factor infertility. Both times they only had 1 embryo to transplant. First baby was a boy and this one is a girl. We are so very thankful for the science and caring professionals who made this happen for them.

My wife and I did 3 rounds of I.V.F. before having our first child. I wouldn't wish that struggle on anyone. It's expensive, it's exhausting, it's busy, it's straining, it's heart breaking (if it doesn't work). You two have a journey ahead of you. I wish you well. If it does work...being a parent is the greatest! My best advice for first time parents: You're going to have 3 choices everyday: 1. Clean house 2. Sleep 3. hobbies/interests (you get to pick 2 everyday). And no matter how hard you try...they're not going to get done to your satisfcation. One, very small critique on video editing. You can save yourself a lot of time by not moving the "junkyard mayhem" around so much. Make it really small and put it in the bottom corner (typically the bottom right) and try and make it slightly translucent (like a watermark). It'll still get seen, because it's in a stationary spot...but it wont be in the way. Everything else in your setup is good.

Wishing you two the best in your IVF journey. I seriously almost died laughing about the gummy event. I had a similar thing happen and you know you have met your person when they can go through that madness with you and come out on the other side and still want to be with you forever. The energy you two put out is fantastic.

I'm so glad you made it safely back to the room and that it turned into a time of reflection and understanding for Shane. You guys are so fun and so precious.

We certainly understand if there are some things you would rather not share but I can only hope that the majority of people watching will be supportive and wanting only the best for you! I know I do! Shane, along with the foot rubs you should tell your brother you get a back and head massage every night before bed and he has to sing you a song for you to go to sleep! It’s the ONLY way you can get to sleep! ☺️
When two completely charming people with a true love for each other and each other’s laughter get together and tell stories, you get a precious podcast where you feel like you’re visiting your friends and hearing about their hilarious day. 💖✌️
I came across you guys I think in a short video and I’m obsessed! I am loving your podcasts. Thank you for being honest about IVF so many are struggling and it truly helps others by you guys talking about it
I got out of the habit of watching your videos for a while, and I have to say I really appreciate your new mikes and/or acoustic studio. The sound quality is SOOOO much better than before.
This is my favourite episode so far. I'm at the part where Shane is watching Hannah's chest rise and fall realizing he is fully capable of being a caregiver too. I am feeling all of it. Thanks for your candor, both of you. 💝
Thank you for educating the general public about the challenges you face! You are both delightful. You're blowing away a lot of misconceptions and helping so many people!
i love this your helping people who thought they could never do any of this and i dont feel that you are oversharing and you put a little comedy into it and i love that about you both
I absolutely adore the two of you. And to see the love you have for each other is so beautiful. You remind me so much of me and my hubby. From your sense of humor to the way you tease each other. Laughter is so important. My husband and I have been together since 1995 and we married in 1997. Laughter has a lot to do with the longevity of our relationship. Keep it up you two.
The edible saga is so funny but had to have been the scariest experience for both of you. Thanks for giving me a great laugh. No two belong together more than you!
This story is hysterical! 😂 I’m an avid pot smoker but edibles have NEVER worked for me..except that one time. I took around 9-12 gummy’s. 😱 I thought I was fine…until…it all hit at once. I TOTALLY get how you felt! I’m glad Shane was there to get you through it. ❤️😊
I have some advice for Hannah. I was advised by a doctor to go on prenatal vitamins before my husband and I even started trying to conceive our youngest child. I think that would probably be a good idea for you as well. Of course you should ask your health care team first. You're situation is very different from ours. There may be only certain ones you should take or certain ones you should stay away from. I'm so excited for you guys. I think you're going to be wonderful parents.
I was told by a nutritionist if you are of child-bearing age, and you want children in the future, it’s never too early to start taking prenatal vitamins. 👍🏻
I so enjoyed that story! My husband did the same thing in Denver. I will never forget. He might as well have been in the corner, sucking his thumb. Thank you for sharing that, I have been watching you guys for sometime. My husband’s been my caretaker for the last 10 years when we got in a JetSki accident. I am paralyzed from the chest down. I understand your feelings about feeling like a burden. I am glad you are over that now. I wish I was.
This was such a fun episode. You tell the gummie mishap story so well! So many of us have made that "rookie mistake", thank God you made it back to the hotel ok. I once had to walk several blocks in Las Vegas with legs that felt like lead weights, LOL. Hannah, here's an idea for you to care for your friend on your trip. Tell her that you must fluff her pillow every 3 hours ( that might last one time). Shane, tell your brother that you must have the curtains or blinds adjusted to the sun every 10 minutes.
I was thinking, as I listened, how helpful and inspiring your story may be for other couples facing some of the same challenges that you and Hannah are facing together. I am a mother of 4, a grandmother of 7, and have grown older and wiser. I met many people along the way that were choosing the IVF route to hopefully conceive. So I, personally, want to say thank you for sharing, (and no need for over=sharing). Bravo!
I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and am disabled because of it. I also struggle with the “burden complex” issue. The story of you taking care of Hannah when she was high made me feel better!
This was the best thing I've seen on RUclips in... forever! I love how you two just fit together. You love each other, you take care of each other and you conspire together! Y'all are hilarious! I am praying that when the time is right you have the most beautiful baby. You guys will make great parents.

I love your content. It’s very cathartic for me. I’m 42 years old and have multiple sclerosis. I was diagnosed October 26th 2012. I’m not wheelchair bound yet… I have so much fear around this subject. I used to race bicycles and now I have a hard time walking across the Costco parking lot on a hot day in Austin Texas where I’m from and live. I don’t want to make this a poor me post however my cognition is declining and my disease is insidious. I feel like my disability will get worse and never better. You guys are so inspiring to me. I want to express my gratitude for y’all. It’s so refreshing to know that there is hope for normalcy in my abnormal life. I don’t know what to say without writing a book which actually I am currently writing a book about life. At the moment I look completely able in all physical aspects. I go to the gym sometimes twice a day even. It’s super scary having a progressing disease that is invisible. I try to keep faith as it is the opposite of fear however I’m a flawed human being. I struggle with acceptance though I know it’s the key to all of my problems. Anyways I truly love you guys and so grateful you are teaching the world how to be. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. -Michael C

"You are just RIDDLED with follicles!" Shane, you crack me UP! P.S. Did Hannah's chair inspire the color of the book cover? Also, that gummies experience was something else! I'm so glad you made it safely back to the room and that it turned into a time of reflection and understanding for Shane. You guys are so fun and so precious.
This is officially my favorite podcast ❤️ You two make me laugh and cry. Thank you!!
I love watching you two! You have such a genuine, loving, fun relationship...thank you for sharing your relationship with us!!!
It’s amazing that Cole and Charisma are also going through the IVF process. Good timing for both couples!
Thier also a " Revenue" marriage relationship probably have an open marriage too contract like Shane Burkaw and Hannah Aylward do .
@The Cheddar When you can't even spell " their", no-one's going to take you seriously!
@@divahc1good grief- people and “there”mouths~ 😅Lol
@@thecheddar7835 how would you know that? Do you personally know either couple??
They never said they were going through IVF 🤦🏾♀️
You two are a match made in heaven. I love your humor and total acceptance. Namaste'
I read the story in the book, but hearing Hannah read it with Shane commenting just made it all the funnier.
Good news! I’m excited for you! Thank you for being so open and taking us along on your journey. ☺️
Thanks!
yall are both such great story tellers, this is my fav episode yet because it was funny and also had a moral at the end! Ugh you guys are the best
I love that your sharing your IVF journey. I'm suffering secondary inferility right now. Sending love on your journey
When two completely charming people with a true love for each other and each other’s laughter get together and tell stories, you get a precious podcast where you feel like you’re visiting your friends and hearing about their hilarious day. 💖✌️
Oh, I agree. This was a completely charming and entertaining episode. Loved it. I love the laughter so much.😍
I came across you guys I think in a short video and I’m obsessed! I am loving your podcasts. Thank you for being honest about IVF so many are struggling and it truly helps others by you guys talking about it
You do both cheer me up, I even laugh out loud, which feels strange when I’m sat alone. However, I thank you all the same ❤️🇬🇧
I got out of the habit of watching your videos for a while, and I have to say I really appreciate your new mikes and/or acoustic studio. The sound quality is SOOOO much better than before.
Yay! Congratulations for being able to move forward with the IVF process. ❤
This is my favourite episode so far. I'm at the part where Shane is watching Hannah's chest rise and fall realizing he is fully capable of being a caregiver too. I am feeling all of it. Thanks for your candor, both of you. 💝
Loved this story! You guys are so sweet and thoughtful of each other! Gonna buy the book for Christmas!
Thank you for educating the general public about the challenges you face! You are both delightful. You're blowing away a lot of misconceptions and helping so many people!
i love this your helping people who thought they could never do any of this and i dont feel that you are oversharing and you put a little comedy into it and i love that about you both
🤣 you two feed off of each other perfectly. It shows how close you too are. That's something everyday dreams of and few find.
I have never had edibles that did anything for me, either!
They seem to enjoy each other's company so much. So cute - the way they get along.
Oh you guys... My heart just filled when Shane talked about role reversal... Your hearts are so beautiful 🙏🏻✨💛✨🕊️
Hi,I just love ur guys' relationship. I'm disabled,widowed,51 yrs.old,& afraid I'll die w/o being,truly loved,ever.
Your guys’ story retells always leave me cracking up, I end up having to replay them at least twice😂
I do also❤️
This was the best thing I've seen on RUclips in... forever! I love how you two just fit together. You love each other, you take care of each other and you conspire together! Y'all are hilarious! I am praying that when the time is right you have the most beautiful baby. You guys will make great parents.
You two just crack me up and make any day brighter!
I loved this episode!! Thank you for sharing all your personal stories and experiences! This was a reflection of the love and kindness, so wonderful!
You both are very fun to listen to. Thank you for brightening up my morning. Hope you enjoy your trip Hannah.
That trip she did and Im sure did many with her lesbian lover " Meredith Bergman" .
Yeah I'm sure she had a great time since she's in a open marriage relationship and revenue too.
@@thecheddar7835 even if they were in an open marriage, who cares? And that’s gross to assume and then verbalize toward a woman and her friend.
@@turnupyourlov3 You do care and you should and everyone should too .
Technically your helping them out with greed money and others that fallow them too .
You should realize it.
Your in the wrong such as Shane Burkaw and Hannah Aylward.
@The Cheddar Yet here you are watching their videos. You appear to comment A LOT, & they get paid for all of it 😁 So please, keep the comments coming! 🤣 They'll be laughing all the way to the bank & still be living better lives than you could dream of. Cha-ching 🤑 Your envy & jealousy is as funny as it is pitiful.
It doesn't take that long it's just that the first time you didn't take a enough and the second time you took too much! 😍😉
-Michael C
You guys will be amazing parents! I’m excited to see Shane as a father, he’ll be an excellent father
@@Pler1978 Shane will be a far better father then a lot of males in this world.... because HE WANTS TO BE A FATHER. My heart breaks from your remark for more reasons than you will understand
@@Pler1978 and what makes a judgemental, uneducated, troll like you a better father/mother?
Just because you can physically do more doesn't make you a better person or parent. Shane has a lot to offer a child, far more than a lot of people do. Hes a hard working, kind, honest man. That's a better role model by far than a vindictive troll who feels the need to make ablest comments on the Internet for their own validation.
@@dshotzthere’s no use replying to that guy, all his comments on this channel are negative and just completely ignorant. I would suggest reporting for bullying. At least, that’s what I did
That was heartwarming and uplifting from start to finish! You are both so genuine, likeable and wonderful.. on so many levels!
I truly love this couple. Shane’s humor still makes her laugh after yrs of bring together and a cpl married❤ beautiful cpl and I look forward to seeing the squirmy and grubs family grow
Hannah Aylward and Shane Burkaw are a " Revenue Open Relationship" that scam folks.
Congrats! Parenthood is a beautiful thing. Really happy you are one step closer to being able to share it!
I love Hannah's reactions to Shane's Junkyard Mayhem advice to everyone 😂 you two are hilarious, thank you for sharing so much of your lives with us ❤
This was Hilarious! I've followed you 2 from almost the beginning. I always enjoyed your content, but the junkyard mayhem format feels so much more comfortable. And the natural humor and conversation are much more abundant and very enjoyable! I wish the best of everything for you two in 2023!
While Hannah read the story I totally forgot that I clicked on the video for IVF results in the first place. I need more episodes of this or an audiobook of Shane’s book read by Hannah (but please include your conversation and Shane’s comments 😂❤.
That was the sweetest writing Shane and the sweetest story, and the sweetest reading ever. You guys are such a cute couple.
You guys ARE a perfect pair! ❤️🥰❤️
This will be a continued journey, and most of us, are rooting for you to have a sweet little one join your family when the time is right.
The edibles story had me in stitches!
You two are so great together... and SHANE... you crack me up!! You are so funny, I just adore your snarkiness! I would love to have you as a friend, (Hannah, you too) Never a dull moment!! 💙💚💙💚
Thank you for sharing this journey with us! I love following you guys and you guys are always great to listen to!!
I will be praying for you❤ I have to admit I’m so excited for both of you. Be blessed ❤
You just MADE me cry! I looked at you guys!! You made each other So much Better together!! STOP.. I'm so full of gratitude for you because you restored my FAITH in LOVE and God!!
That edibles story was so funny and heartwarming. The thought of being apart will naturally bring anxiety but I’m sure you’ll both enjoy your time apart and your reunion will be
Special and sweet. Lol it’s so easy to hit the wrong thing
I've been following you forever and you guys definitely keep a balance between TMI and NOT TMI. Thank you so much!
I’m hoping for you that your IVF goes quickly and smoothly the first time. ❤️🇨🇦
Watching this made my day and makes me smile about how y'all's relationship reminds me of mine.
You guys just make me feel happy when I'm feeling crappy 😁 you genuinely cheer me up and I'm grateful I discovered you guys ♥️ Merry Christmas 🎄 and Hannah.... Go easy on the gummies girl ☺️♥️
I'm glad you guys share your IVF info with us! I'm excited for when you get preggo!
You guys are amazing! I love watching your junkyard Mayhem! Love you both!
I know this is an older video as I have just started watching. Just wanted to say you are great people and have enjoyable episodes. I just go through all that are available. The short videos are super entertaining. Keep up the great work.
