yes . i turn mine on in the work shop from my back door in the morning . have breakfast , set on low runs all day , work shop damp and cold free all day . brilliant 🙂( Scotland )
I use one of these for my campervan and it’s been brilliant, only fault I had was the main positive cable corroded. You can buy a thermostat and timer gadget for these , it doesn’t happen if work as a thermostat as it shuts the heater off and then restarts it when needed. The gadget basically pairs with the little key ring remote control. Have not used one but they look great. I opened the control panel and soldered a pair of wires on to the on off switch, connected these to a GSM Relay which is a gadget with a sim card. So if we are out and about on a cold day I can send the heater a text message to turn it on so that it’s toastie warm for when we get back. Then I realised that I could also use the same wires to have a push button near the bed to turn it on from the bed, ok I have the supplied remote control but that’s difficult in the darkness and without glasses. I have heard of an Australian made device called an afterburner that replaces the control panel which also gives it extra functionality.
Hey Andy. How do you manage overnight? Do you let your home get really cool and then do a big warm up when you get up or do you let it tick over during the night?
