FYI: This is a heavy beast of a saw. It might look like I am pushing through the cuts because sometimes at the end of the cut the saw drops and hits the material. I assure you that the only pressure is the weight and the reason it is hitting the material is that I am not catching the total weight in time. It is about 17 pounds with a battery. Large capacity saw with the power, size, and weight to dominate.
It'd be awesome to have a "shootout" between this and the Milwaukee M18 2729-20 deep cut bandsaw. The only advantage I see in this one is speed/power. I'd have to be using something like this ALL the time to justify buying it over my default M18/M12 platforms. The Milwaukees don't have the metal bar because they have a metal case there and not plastic. Thanks for posting!
Add the Dewalt 5" 20v to that if you have one and if you do a shootout. I'm sure the XGT is faster, and I'm fine with the Dewalt for my uses, just curious to see the difference. Another fine review.
I don't know many people that would jump ship for a bandsaw, but here's a comparison: M18Fuel deep cut: 380 feet per minute($399) DeWalt deep cut: top secret($319) Makita XGT: 630 feet per minute($499) Metabo HPT 36v: 640 feet per minute($499)
Great review Brian. Thank you! That saw looks like a beast. I already have the Milwaukee M18 Fuel version and I picked up a similar DeWalt last year when Home Depot was practically giving them away during a promotion that sold out quickly. Given the price of this tool there's no way I'm getting this new Makita, but if I was starting from scratch, I'd definitely consider it.
How do you like this compared to the deep cut m18? One thing i know i like better, is that on the milwaukee you dont have that trigger safety mechanism. Just a lock

I bought one of these off ebay and I've been enjoying it! Cuts through 4 inch duct like butter along with unistrut and threaded rod.

Thank you for another great video! How about a head to head between the Makita, Metabo and Milwaukee! 👍❤️🙏

630 Feet Per Minute. With the right blade it rips.
