Beating the hell outta Palmer in a robot frog was not on my Bingo card. And yet it was one of my favorite fights solely because of how pissed off the party gets at him
The way my weird brain processed this part was “our friend is grieving, and here you are to fuck shit up as usual” and honestly I was so into it lol bold of them to put this right after Dyne, one of my favorite segments honestly
Hearing this song I'm reminded so much of the S7-6 Diversion Mission track from Remake, particularly when it hits _THE_ drop in both songs, I have to presume the same artist credited for S7-6 alongside Nobuo Uematsu, Yoshinori Nakamura, is the composer responsible for this banger and probably other boss theme remixes through Rebirth.

Pretty sure Nobuo didn't do this. Nobuo is only supervising the OST arrangement of the original songs and writing the theme songs. Hazamu, Suzuki, and several others are handling the compositions and arrangements.

That one move where he shoots the blue laser and it wiped out Aerith and Tifa, sometimes both at once really tested my patience, but it's still a somewhat fun boss.
This boss was the first boss on hard mode I fought thanks to Chapter Select - without the benefit of a grind to level 70. My God, never have I hated Palmer so much 😅

Remake used up most of the music from the original game, and Rebirth wasted some opportunities to bring in some of the remaining ones, particularly Birth of a God and You Can Hear The Planet Cry. Definitely a step down, but still plenty of great tracks.

The OST is more about how lethal SHOULD be this machine with a properly trained soldier inside it. Thats some.. "pike" of danger coming from Palmer that is usually coward. You know this is bullshit when you realize he is inside, but the real threat is the robot he relies on

This is one of the few tracks in rebirth that stuck out. Overall the new fight themes haven't been as good as remake. Still good ost though!
