Drosera can definitely be picky ! 🤣 it’s frustrating sometimes but that’s the way it is. I bought a drosera adelae and it’s done so poorly for me, looks exactly like this one you showed. I have another drosera growing next to it ( different species ) and a little hitchhiking drosera started to pop up and grow within the past couple weeks. It looks to be another adelae but this one is doing way better than the other one!! Guess I didn’t need to buy one 🤣
I had the same problems. I live in the uk. It looked really healthy when I got it for like a year then it whent down hill drom there my one looks completely dead now no green showing. I will wait a see. Like you said they do come back but really slowly.
Look into California carnivores and the international carnivores society. Sun dews come back from the stem. I got one who didn’t have the right soil, no dew etc. it also had aphids. After repotting, cleaning the roots. The whole plant died back like your now it’s starting to grow back. I got tons of information and education from the 2 sources I referenced.

my sundew died because i forgot to water it 2 days 🙄😂
Did it grow back??
push the stam of the plant deeper in the soil and give it more water and a bit of direct sunlight

Maybe the plant needs to be watered with "Mountain Dew" to produce it's 'dew' :)
