Finally! Thank you! Resolved all my issues realizing the F1 and F2 pins I needed to connect to were on the bottom of the Naza m unit. Everyone else's videos kept directing me to connect them to the top. You sir, just made my day!
i know im asking the wrong place but does someone know a method to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the account password. I would love any assistance you can give me
@Kayson Jameson I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thank you for this video. I had to use different PID settings, but you got me where I needed to be with where to adjust what. Gimbal is smooth as silk now.
THANK YOU I had the same problem..I have a sj 4000 and could not get to my port also on the right..after watching the video and hesitated to do it but after this video I figured it out..thanks again for your valued help!!
Great video, thanks. Do you know if you can use one of the naza ports to control pitch and yaw instead of roll? Would I just connect the roll port to the yaw motor control?
My gimbal is running great thanks to your videos but I'm having a problem very similar to Xematick. I'm trying to set up rc manual pitch control on my Phantom 2 but I'm not receiving any input values in the GUI software. I have the wire connected to the f2 (signal?)port on my flight controller (like in your video) but I'm not sure if it's sending anything. The Phantom 2 software is in Naza-M mode and the gimbal switch is enabled. It indicates that x1 is the output whenever I use my tilt lever. Does this mean that I have to remove the x1 plug prewired for the Zenmuse products or possibly splice one of those wires? I'm thinking that perhaps the phantom 2 flight controller does not allow for f2 output???
I do not have a Phantom2, therefore I don't know, what they wired up for the Zenmuse gimbal. If you talk about X1, then that is the remote control channel X1, and that will change the values on the connector F2 on the NAZA-M controller. If there is already a connector in that slot, then you need to remove it and have the pitch control wire from BGC board plugged into the F2 on the NAZA-M.
Hi, I followed all of the instructions you have in this video, and I must say, there is no better video out there to explain it this way. However, I have a little bit of a problem, and I will admit it might be my fault. I tried calibrating the gimbal as mentioned in the video, but after that it has been jerking everytime I power it up. I tried calibrating it again but the jerking does not stop. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.
Thanks for watching my video! Make sure, that both of your gimbal arms move freely. Make sure, the wires don't rub on anything. Then see, if the skip Gyro calibration checkbox is marked. After that try to calibrate both gyro and accelerometer. If that doesn't work, then I wonder, if the sensor board is mounted correctly, or if you accidentally changed the sensor axis directions? You should make a short movie of your setup and problem, and post the link here in the comments. I can try to take a look at it.
@Michael Kerr 2 wires were used in the analog world, but now everything is digital, and if the devices have common ground, then the one signal wire is sufficient. If you want you can use three wires, it doesn't hurt, just more work.
I just tried that. once i connected the cables the gimbal went crazy and now thinks the correct orientation is upward even when the cables are disconnected. I tried connecting the gimbal to the BGC software except only bluetooth can be connected, no USB??
Michael Kerr If you see only bluetooth then the driver is not installed correctly. Did you watch my video about the driver installation? ruclips.net/video/5Vzicbqa6dY/видео.html
Would love your 2¢ if you could give me some advice-Roll is working perfectly with the same control board + gimbal + Phantom (1) + GoPro 3. Pitch works perfect when facing the horizon or pointing down, say, 45º. More than that, it jerks repeatedly. Makes me sad, as I really am trying to find a way to film STRAIGHT down. Can include a video, if it'll help. Any thoughts?
Well, a video is always helpful. I would check, if the wire to the sensor doesn't get caught, when the camera is in the straight down position. Check if there is a cable tie in the way, or if the wire to the sensor is tight. If you make a video, try to show your gimbal settings in the BGC tool.
Chris Webb OK, I watched your video. Easy things first. The board you have, has the PITCH control where you plug in. (Top right), the one next to it (left) would be the ROLL control. Step 1: Check, if anything touches a wire or the gimbal arm, when the arm is in the 90 degree position. (I couldn't see this in your video.) Step 2: Did you watch my video? Do you have the DJI settings with DJI SOFTWARE set to default? If not set them to default. (Don't press USE DEFAULT on the BGC software!!!) Step 3: Verify this: Under the Realtime_Data tab is in the upper right corner the barograph field for RC_PITCH. Move the lever on your remote from all the way left to all the way right. A blue bar will move with it. On top note the max and min number. Step 4: Disconnect your DJI Pitch control wire for a moment, and then calibrate your sensors. Basic tab. Make sure the checkmark for Skip Gyro calibration at startup is set. Then press CALIB.ACC and hold the camera arm 100% level. Do the same for CALIB.GYRO. You have to hold 100% still and level!!! Reconnect your Pitch control wire. STEP 5: Basic Tab. Motor Configuration ROLL and PITCH POWER set to 100 NUM.POLES should be 12 unless you have expensive motors? Do you? You can count the coils (stators) to make sure. I bet you have 12 and the software is set to 14? STEP 6: RC_Settings tab. PITCH MIN.MAX.Angle I don't believe with that board, that you have 0 and 90. I have with that board -10 and -65. Play with those numbers. The MIN ANGLE is the one for the 0 Degree position, and the MAX.ANGLE the one for the 90 Degree down position. Once you change the numbers, click WRITE, and then give it a few seconds to relax. NEVER press the USE DEFAULTS button, because those defaults are not meant for the cheap gimbal!!! Once everything works, you can reduce the roll and pitch power from step 5 to less. Maybe 75%. That saves battery. If it is too low, then the wind will push the camera over during flight. Good Luck! Let me know how it works! Make another video, if you like. I watch it. It would be good to see the settings in your BGC software for all the tabs, especially Basic, Advanced, and Realtime Data.
Hi, how did you physically switch the gimbal arm to the other side? the only difference is that the pitch angles needs to be the exact opposite? or does it needs some special configurations at the BGC software? thanks.
Hi there. Great video! The dropdown bar in my Simple BGC GUI v2.2 b2 window does not have an option to select a usb port. All it has is various bluetooth options. What is causing this? Do I need to find a usb driver?
Hey, that's a great video! I have a question. The NUM.POLES value is set to 14 in your settings, but do the 2208 motors really have 14 poles? I counted my poles and i count only 12 poles?
Hey, you saw that. Great! You are the first. Your answer is here in my other video: ruclips.net/video/5Vzicbqa6dY/видео.htmlm41s Hope that helps. And you are right, the 2208 has 12 poles, and whoever set the settings on those gimbals, didn't do a great job with the settings. That's what you get from China. Are you surprised?
specialistofsomekind No, not really. I think the settings are for the GoPro Hero2, and not for the 3. But after watching my video, it makes sense to find good settings for your own setup. Make sure you write down or save the original settings. That way you can revert back, if you have to. Also very important to calibrate your sensors, that will solve a lot of issues to begin with.
Yes, that's possible, if you use too much. Only one tiny drop of thread lock is necessary to fix a screw. If it leaks to much on the plastic, then the plastic becomes weak.
I've followed your directions to a T. The gimbal works great at balancing itself, I successfully installed the gimbal software and tweaked the settings and also tweaked the settings in the NAZA software. My only issue is that the lever on my Phantom 1 controller does nothing, there is no response or tilt control when I move the level back and forth. The lever came on the controller. Is it possible that the lever is bad? Or is it more likely that my pitch wire is on the wrong pin on the gimbal?
mygiguser I'm using a separate battery pack to power the gimbal and I have the green cable connected only (not the yellow because I'm only planning to use pitch). I have it connected to the far right bottom pin which is then connected to the bottom pin of the F2 port. If I were moving the lever, what values in the NAZA software would change? (use this screen shot of the gimbal tab for reference - www.todophantom.com/wp-content/uploads/gimball.jpg)
Renee Gannon On the View tab the X1 slider should move, when you move the lever. If you use an external battery, then you need to connect a second wire for ground between F2 on top and the same on the gimbal connector (in my video).
Hi, great video... i have a question in the NASAM, i dont have the same values as you and i dont know if its recognizing the new settings... and in the BCG software, i don't see the board to select. thanks for your comments or reply.
+Fernando A I need to have more information, if you need me to give you advice. If you don't see the board in the BGC software, then you either do not have the right driver, the right USB cable, or the correct BGC software version, that fits the board. Maybe you can post a video of your setup and show the problems?
+mygiguser Thanks a lot for the replay, I got it running and functioning, but the pitch control wont work, i have a DJI PHANTOM 2 VISION PLUS, and im trying to replace the original gimbal with this one. the only thing missing is the up and down movement with the remote for the gimbal, i tried plugging the F1 & F2 pins to the NAZA module, but no luck with the movement. i hope i was clear enough, if not, please let me know and i'll try to explain myself better. Thanks a lot!
+Fernando A I don't have a Vision Plus, but it is possible, that the DJI Vision Plus Software has the gimbal disabled. But I don't know, if it is possible to flash regular NAZA-M software onto a DJI Vision Plus.
+mygiguser Yes, i think it is, because i downloaded the NAZAM app and wont work, because its other model. but, in the DJI software assistant i do exactly as you and wont work :( any idea how to do that? thanks!
One question. If the gimbal have another battery power source is one cable enough to make the pitch work? or i have to power the copter and the gimbal from same source to use one cable connection? Thanx!
Hey i want to say great video but i have one problem. My sensor board is the other way round when i power on my Gimbal it starts going crazy i used some tape to put it on the other way and sure enough it works. Is there any reason mine is different and can i change it in the software? thanks.
zak bartley Yes, you can set this in the BGC GUI Software. Below the Basics tab, there is Axis TOP and Axis RIGHT. Those values you have to change: Look at the gimbal from behind just like the camera will view out from the gimbal. What axis points is right? Look at the arrow on the bottom of the sensor. Is it the X axis? If it points to the left, then enter -X in the GUI. Does Y point to the front? Does Z point to the top, then enter +Z or Z in the GUI. If you disconnect the cables to the motors, you can move the arms by hand without it flopping around. The correct configuration should result in the following: ▪ Camera pitches forward-the PITCH arrow spins clockwise in the GUI. ▪ Camera rolls right- ROLL arrow spins clockwise in the GUI. ▪ Camera yaws clockwise- YAW arrow spins clockwise.
Just when I had that boat, I had already looked into the software if I captured the signal. but obviously there was nothing. This means that no signal is emitted naza? How this is possible because I can rotate the gimbal with radio ...
Hi, Thank you for your video, I almost made it work, but I still can't connect my card to the JAR application on my mac (no USB connection working). Is there a special procedure to make a USB working ?
A lot of the problems that I see listed below can be solved really easily by doing this: Set your phantom so that the front of it is facing you. Now, look closely at the top of the gimbals control board on the far right..you'll see a tiny little button. It's on the control board but you will be able to stick your finger in to do the next part. Once you've located the button, power on your gimbal. Now press that little button 3 times. You'll notice that the gimbal goes limp and then recovers after a few seconds...while its limp, use your hands to move it into the position you want it in when you power up the gimbal from now on....hold it there until the gimbal recovers....that's it. You just set it up without have to go through the software. it will remember where you put it.
when using Naza Mlite and Gimbal BCG how to monitoring the camera view? what app can support live view? is it possible to use DJI Go Apps on Naza MLite?
Hello. Nice video but I can't connect gimbal to Simple GBC32 GUI. I only have usb ports on the laptop and no com port as the program shows. Anyone know what to do?
GREAT VIDEO, YOU EXPLAINED ALOT THANK YOU!, I HAVE SAME GIMBAL THAT I WANT TO PUT ON MY NEW TAROT IRONMAN 650 QUADCOPTER USING TAROT 4114 320KV MOTORS AND DJI NAZA M V2 I WAS TOLD NOT TO GET INTO THE GIMBAL SETTINGS BECAUSE ALOT OF PEOPLE SAID THAT IF YOU DO YOULL BRICK THE BOARD!. Well I did everything but the last adj because I didn't move my board on the bottom of the arm..when I did everything but he the last step I couldent get my camera to go all the way down?
I think I connected everything right. The gimbal works fine with not pitch or roll wires connected. but when they are connected. it rolls( camera pans up ward and starts shaking. ). Any thoughts?
+mygiguser if you can solve my doubts with respect to the tilt control command on the pitch gimbal ..'ve seen many videos and I'm not getting .. 1- my drone and the phantom 2 -> bought with h33d zenmuze (broke) 2- bought this 2-axis brushless 3- I'm calling the cable in F2 or F1 already tried in both 4- my control is already installed the lever at the bottom of control !! 5 - the phantom 2 of the attending do not have the option GIMBAL (on) (off) and parameters is saying that is connected .. now do not know if he's acknowledging the current or any previous link is the h33d!
hai i need your help... i using FUTABA 8j i setup using channel 5 everything work fine... after i discconet USB and remove it the pitch unable to control manually~~~
tomstrb Look in my video at ruclips.net/video/2iT2WRpTMa8/видео.htmlm35s You can see that I changed the sensor axis to TOP -Z and RIGHT -X in the Simple BGC GUI. And then don't forget to calibrate after you changed the settings.
tomstrb That depends on what gimbal you have. If it is like the one shown in my video, then 8bit. I made a video how to do this on a MAC, but PC is quite similar ruclips.net/video/5Vzicbqa6dY/видео.html
hello friend .. I did everything you explain in your video and gimbal works .. but still I can not rotate the camera whit my phantom RC.. can you help me ?
I have a serious, frustrating issue with the gimbal. I need some help. Every time I fully charge my battery and lift off for flight, just 5 to 10 seconds later, I hear the low voltage alarm. Then roughly a minute later (still beeping the warning) it completely shuts off! I pull out the battery, and it's drained! What is wrong with it? Overweight? You guys appear to have nothing wrong with it. I have it plugged into the 12v power supply slot under the cx20. Any help would be much appreciated!
Amy Burns Maybe your battery is bad? Try to disconnect the gimbal wires, and fly like that. Does the battery do the same thing, then it is not your gimbal.
Hi Buddy, I long pressed the button and the gimbal stopped functioning so i disconnected the power and reconnected, there was no green light just solid red aand now it wont connect in the GUI software as well. Please help. I've tried a lot of forums but no luck
Joban Singh I don't know, really. It is possible that the board is broken. Try to disconnect the sensor and the motors and the power to the board. Then connect only USB to the computer, just the plain board, and try to connect to the BGC GUI software. You said, you pressed the button on the board. Maybe the button is stuck in the down position (internally). In order to fix that, you could replace the button (difficult, if you don't have proper soldering tools), or you could try to remove the button. If the board is broken, you may consider to just buy a new board.
Hi! I'm hoping you can help me. I was setting up the pitch controls, when my gimbal stopped working. It won't turn on, the circuit board is lighting up and I can't figure out why. If you have any insight it would be greatly appreciated, as I don't understand why it suddenly stopped responding.
Sorry, I have no idea. Maybe you don't have enough power, or a chip died on the board. You can connect the board itself to USB with the motors disconnected, and then use the BGC software to connect to it. If that doesn't work, then it is time to order a new board.
mygiguser Hey! Thank you so much for your reply, you've helped me more than you might think. i plugged my gimbal into my computer via the usb on the gimbal and the LEDs lit up! The gimbal is fully operational, now for the weird part. The gimbal only works when I have it connected to my computer via usb. At first I thought it was doing this because maybe it wasn't getting power from the phantom, and was able to work because of the power through the USB, but when I disconnect the power cable that goes from my phantom to my gimbal, the gimbal stops working. Do you have any idea why it might be doing this? I tried setting up the gimbal through the NAZAM software and that seemed to work, but again it will only power on when it is also connected via usb. If you have any idea what this could be I would love to hear it. Thanks again!
yakzach USB should not have enough power to run the gimbal motors. If the gimbal doesn't work, when connected to the power from the aircraft (it should not be powered by the NAZA, but by the main flight battery), then i would check that cable first. Should have battery power on it. 3S battery? 11.1V Try to connect a battery to the gimbal power connector. Does it work then? I hope power and ground is not switched on the power cable for the gimbal. Did you wire the gimbal power as I show in my video? Possible the power cable on the DJI main board is broken? Use a volt meter to find out if there is power!
mygiguser I wired the power like you showed in the video. I have flown the phantom without the gimbal, so I don't think the power cable on the main board is broken, unless i'm confusing something for something else. How would I connect a battery directly to the gimbal? Would I need a special cable?
yakzach Not the cable from the battery to the DJI board. The thin cable from the DJI board to the gimbal could be broken (the one i show in the video). Easiest to test is to measure the voltage and the polarity on the gimbal board. Sometimes people wire the gimbal power to the small little connector of the battery, but I don't know, if you can buy that cable, or if you have to make that yourself.
ok i cant get the pitch to work remote i have the same gimble everything works but the remote pitch. i did the same wiring diagram and still can you help?
I wish I could. How can I help? Can you make a video with your setup, that I can see how yours looks like? Closeup of the DJI controller, and of the BCG Board connector. When you use the DJI software, and move the pitch control, do the numbers change? Do the numbers change in the BCG software?
mygiguser my Pitch lever on the controller (X1) will not work to save its life. I pull it up in Naza, and it shows that its working. Still will not control the gimbal. Am I missing something? I have the Phantom 1.1.1, using the exact same gimbal in the video.
Use the BGC GUI interface by connecting your computer to the gimbal board. If you don’t know how to do that, watch this video BGC GUI with MAC On the BGC check, if you see the gimbal input is working. If not, try to connect 2 or all three wires on the pitch control connectors.
Jermaine Anugwom If you leave the wiring, then in your case go to the RC-Settings tab and change the RC Input Mapping for ROLL to RC_PITCH. That should do the trick.
Argo Hanimägi Does it? Do you have a picture? I thought the electrical connections are the same. Connect the gimbal to power and ground from the battery and the signal to F2 for the pitch control.
mygiguser on the first photo, there are electric outlets which are on phantom 2, on the second photo there are cimbal wires. How do I connect gimbal and Phantom 2? static4.album.ee/files/1169/65/orig_29241479_vGS3.jpg static4.album.ee/files/1169/65/orig_29241481_zOJv.jpg
OK, you need to watch the video and open the Phantom, and then connect the wire as shown in the video. The wires you have in your pictures are the connections for the Zenmuse gimbal, and those are different. You only need three wires. Power, ground and pitch signal.
mygiguser - wonder if I can pick your brains. i installed the gimbal successfully but I dont seem to be able to perform a successful compass calibration now - any ideas?
Hey I need help Its the 4th BGB CARD I BUY !!! they fry everytime i connect them to the naza, even if I only connect the signal cables... wtf I have a naza v2, a 4s lipo battery, a 8bit basecam card, mounted on a dji f550 :( it's the last time i'm ever buying one of these
mygiguser OK. What is happening here is in NAZA's software don't have a option to active the gimba so how can i work the gimbal's tilt with my control of the phantom.
Camilo Fernades Maybe a different Naza software helps? I don't know, if the regular DJI software works with the Vision, I don't have a Phantom 2, therefore I am unable to try that over here, sorry.
Marcel Côté Do you have Mac or PC? I made a video for Mac ruclips.net/video/5Vzicbqa6dY/видео.html , but on a PC it is almost the same. You need to have the correct drivers matching your gimbal control board. If you are sure, that you have the correct drivers, then try a different BGC GUI version. Instead of 2.2 try maybe 2.4
mygiguser i juste order this one: www.goodluckbuy.com/2-axis-brushless-gimbal-camera-mount-with-32bit-storm32-controller-for-gopro-3-4-fpv-black.html the board is a 32bit Storm32. But i try so many thing that i'm lost right now. It's possible to send me the right link that i need for my board
Marcel Côté You could start a Java console and see what that gives you for an error message. I made a video for Mac ruclips.net/video/5I2KXE_P94E/видео.html, but the commands are the same on Windows.
I looked up your board, and that is different from the one shown in my videos. Maybe you find some info here www.olliw.eu/storm32bgc-wiki/Getting_Started
Hi There, I got a similar chinese gimbal to install the camera that comes with the Phantom Vision2 (not the plus). I saw your video and looks simple and similar to mine but the wiring/boards are a bit different (my model is from sunsky-online.com ) The question I have before I start is for the pitch control. Can I still use the application on the phone to control the camera pitch or do I need to buy/add the toggle switch to control it from the remote control? How do i do that? Thank you!
Good question, but I assume you could use the app for the pitch. The question is how the NAZA controller is connected to the Vision2 pitch. I don't have a Vision2, therefore I don't know.
mygiguser Hi! Thank you for your quick reply! It seems I need to use the channel 7 (toggle switch on the back of the remote control) only :( I will need to get that before I venture into this. Thank you!
You should install the goodluckbuy gimbal again, and use the BGC software to see in the Realtime tab, what the drone is sending. If the drone is the problem, then you will see it there. What about the videos on your channel? They show a goodluckbuy gimbal and you using BGC software?
I have an iLook camera with a built in 5.8gig transmitter. The antenna port is on the same side as the gimbal motor so I was trying to work out a simple way to solve the problem.
Read the description of this video. The link is in the last line of the text. Once you have the software, connect a USB cable to the board and to the computer. As shown in the video.
Can anyone tell me what cable I can use to connect the board to the USB?My Gimbal looks exactly like this one but not sure how to connect to the computer.
I just ordered this same gimbal and I was under the impression it was going to come with an adapter for the battery, but it didn't. I am not verse in soldering, is there a cable that can connect to the red connector to receive power from the battery? I have detailed my set-up on my blog here: reneegannon.com/2015/03/looking-for-help-with-a-brushless-gimbal-set-up-on-dji-phantom-1/ - Any input would be greatly appreciated!
I looked at your blog, and the wire you ordered does not work without soldering. You ask for this: Google it: JST female to JST-XH2.5 3S 4Pin battery balance charger plug connector adapter. I think you have a male JST connector on the gimbal?
Renee Gannon left male the two on the right female. My gimbal has a male connector attached to it. But if yours has a female, then you need a male to 3S 4 pin connector.
Sorry, but it is hard to understand where some wires comes. I don´t understand where come wire nr 1 (at the picture). Also I don´t have on my Phantom wire nr 2. Do I have braze wire nr.2 and wire nr. 4 by myself ? Also my Phantom does not have wire nr 3, do I have to buy them separately. My Gimbal product has only these wires which are in last photo. Can you help me somehow, please. static4.album.ee/files/1169/86/orig_29246555_D8wH.jpg static4.album.ee/files/1169/65/orig_29241481_zOJv.jpg
Phantom 2 don´t have this wires (like in this video), there are missing yellow and green wires which you connect with Gimbal. 3 wires what did you first connect in youre video (red and grey) - I don´t have this wires. I will send picture how does look out my Phantom 2 inside and this is not the same as in youre video. static4.album.ee/files/1169/79/orig_29244787_w3KQ.jpg static4.album.ee/files/1169/79/orig_29244785_gnlh.jpg
At this point I don't know, if this would work on the DJI Phantom 2 vision. I imagine it does, but I am not sure. Are you planning on using the vision camera, or do you think about mounting a GoPro?
I have a similar gimbal china with firmware 2.2 b2 and its perfectly stable on the table and recording from my hand. When I fly with my Phantom 2 I get lots of vibrations in the video (it is worse than my P2V servo). Take a look here: ruclips.net/video/m3nIh-QpTw4/видео.html What settings do you think I need to change to compensate for those vibrations ? Thanks.
Can you send a video or picture of your setup? It looks like some vertical vibrations? What camera are you using? Could be the rubber mounting balls? Are the wires to the motors moving freely? If so, i would try to increase the Power for the motors, if they are not already at 100.
It was the rubber mounts black ones complete garbage. I used earplugs inside them from EPO foam until I will receive my H3-3D original mounts for it (DJI part #40). Regarding the motors the roll one is 91 power and the pitch is only 51 power. Can you please send me a screenshot of your Basic and Advanced profile tab from BGC GUI ? Thank you !
Its annoying and distracts you from your video. You would be better off just playing some nice music and typing in your words...or better yet TALK in your own personal voice ;)
Well, i had no voice at the time. ANd it is difficult to replace an audio track on a RUclips video, once it's uploaded, besides the video is kind of outdated. You'll get a Phantom 3 for a decent price with a great gimbal on it.
Finally! Thank you! Resolved all my issues realizing the F1 and F2 pins I needed to connect to were on the bottom of the Naza m unit. Everyone else's videos kept directing me to connect them to the top. You sir, just made my day!
Cody Tucker You are welcome. thanks for the comment!
i know im asking the wrong place but does someone know a method to get back into an instagram account??
I was stupid lost the account password. I would love any assistance you can give me
@Koa Alijah Instablaster ;)
Thank you everybody for the views and votes!
Happy New Year to you all!
DJW
Best video on fitting and wiring the Gimbal 2 axis I have ever seen on Utube. Thanks Mate. Regards , DJ, Downunder
Great clip ... does that work with any cheap 2 axis gimbal (Good Luck Buy) ?
+an-internet-user I guess yes.
(I couldn't see this in your video.)
Step 2: Did you watch my video? Do you have the DJI settings with DJI SOFTWARE set to default? If not set them to default. (Don't press USE DEFAULT on the BGC software!!!)
Step 3: Verify this: Under the Realtime_Data tab is in the upper right corner the barograph field for RC_PITCH.
Motor Configuration ROLL and PITCH POWER set to 100
NUM.POLES should be 12 unless you have expensive motors? Do you? You can count the coils (stators) to make sure. I bet you have 12 and the software is set to 14?
STEP 6: RC_Settings tab. PITCH MIN.MAX.Angle
I don't believe with that board, that you have 0 and 90.
Yes, you need an USB driver. Watch my video here ruclips.net/video/5Vzicbqa6dY/видео.html
I explain where to install and how to install drivers.
Thanks man! I found one. It's recognized and I'm working on the settings now.
Hey, that's a great video! I have a question. The NUM.POLES value is set to 14 in your settings, but do the 2208 motors really have 14 poles? I counted my poles and i count only 12 poles?
Hey, you saw that. Great! You are the first. Your answer is here in my other video: ruclips.net/video/5Vzicbqa6dY/видео.htmlm41s
Hope that helps. And you are right, the 2208 has 12 poles, and whoever set the settings on those gimbals, didn't do a great job with the settings. That's what you get from China. Are you surprised?
OK, thanks!
mygiguser OMG! Really. Are the other settings good, or are there more problems?
specialistofsomekind No, not really. I think the settings are for the GoPro Hero2, and not for the 3. But after watching my video, it makes sense to find good settings for your own setup. Make sure you write down or save the original settings. That way you can revert back, if you have to.
Also very important to calibrate your sensors, that will solve a lot of issues to begin with.
but you mentioned to use threadlock. My experience had been that blue Loctite will eat the plastic! I've seen it on a few 'aircraft" Phantoms.
Do you see movement in the NAZA software, when you move the lever? If not, then there is a problem with the lever.
mygiguser I'm using a separate battery pack to power the gimbal and I have the green cable connected only (not the yellow because I'm only planning to use pitch).
Thanks for the detailed explanation!
+mygiguser Yes, i think it is, because i downloaded the NAZAM app and wont work, because its other model. but, in the DJI software assistant i do exactly as you and wont work :(
any idea how to do that? thanks!
Fernando A No idea. The NAZAM app is one thing, but then there is the firmware on the NAZA-M, that could be different to.
One question. If the gimbal have another battery power source is one cable enough to make the pitch work? or i have to power the copter and the gimbal from same source to use one cable connection?
Thanx!
If the gimbal has a different power source you need to connect two wires. Signal and ground.
how did you get Steven Hawking to voice for your video good video ...
Thanks, the Indian IT lady in this video ruclips.net/video/o_Stmv_h9to/видео.html talked him into it ;-)

Those values you have to change:
Look at the gimbal from behind just like the camera will view out from the gimbal.
The correct configuration should result in the following:
▪ Camera pitches forward-the PITCH arrow spins clockwise in the GUI.
Did you watch and follow this: ruclips.net/video/5Vzicbqa6dY/видео.html
That's right, if the little button is set to calibrate. And if it is, it will calibrate the 0 position, it doesn't set the max or min angle.
when using Naza Mlite and Gimbal BCG how to monitoring the camera view? what app can support live view? is it possible to use DJI Go Apps on Naza MLite?
NOW TO ME THAT IS A FALSE CLAIM UNLESS IT WAS JUST PLAIN USER ERROR AS USUALY NOBODY HARDLY EVER WANTS TO ADMIT THAT BUT MORE OFTEN THAN NOT THAT IS THE ISSUE!. I HAVE BEEN USING DJI FC,S SINCE THEY CAME OUT AND NEVER EVER HAD A FLYAWAY EVER, I ALWAYS BEFORE GOING OUT TO FLY HOOK MY NAZA UP TO ASSISTANT AND DO A PMU CHECK IF IT NEEDS IT I DO IT BUT MOST OF THE TIME IT SAYS THAT THE FC IS FINE AND IT ONLY TAKES 5 MINUTES, TO ME THAT IS WHY I HAVE NEVER HAD A FLYAWAY OR ANYTHING REMOTELY ACTING LIKE A FLYAWAY!!! I THINK THAT ABOUT 99% OF FLYAWAYS ARE SOMEHOW RELATED TO USER ERROR!!! CAN YOU PLEASE EMAIL ME BACK? I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS TO ASK YOU? Expertly done my friend. Thank you for the effort.
Well I did everything but the last adj because I didn't move my board on the bottom of the arm..when I did everything but he the last step I couldent get my camera to go all the way down?
Can this also be used on a phantom 2 vision+?
I am not sure, i made this video sooo long time ago, i am not sure. That drone crashed already and is in a thousand pieces by now ;-)
I have a question came you help me I'm trying to connect a Chinese gamble on a phantom 3 standard do you know on how to connect it
great stuff keep it up. just started my videos again getting some ideas.
you can set camera in 2.4 Ghz
Receiver yes or no
Osram led is a big brand u can get them online, but i got mine from Silvan 300 danish krone. Regads Dennis
I think I connected everything right. The gimbal works fine with not pitch or roll wires connected. but when they are connected. it rolls( camera pans up ward and starts shaking. ). Any thoughts?
100reviews You need to check with BGC software what the transmitter is sending to the gimbal board.
Tranks your Video helped my a lot
caso voce consiga sanar minha duvida com relação ao comando tilt pitch do controle no gimbal .. ja vi muitos videos e nao estou conseguindo..
1- meu drone e o phantom 2 -> comprei com o zenmuze h33d (qbrou)
+Fabrízio Gomes Sorry I do not speak or understand the Portuguese language.
+mygiguser if you can solve my doubts with respect to the tilt control command on the pitch gimbal ..'ve seen many videos and I'm not getting ..
1- my drone and the phantom 2 -> bought with h33d zenmuze (broke)
2- bought this 2-axis brushless
3- I'm calling the cable in F2 or F1 already tried in both
4- my control is already installed the lever at the bottom of control !!
Tie Ee fei Can you make a video and show me your setup and the problem?
I WOULD LIKE TO MOVE MY GIMBLE ARM MOUNT LIKE YOU DID..BUT WHEN I DID THE MOVEMENT CHANGED TO THE REVERSE?HOW DID YOU FIX THIS PROBLEM?
tomstrb Look in my video at ruclips.net/video/2iT2WRpTMa8/видео.htmlm35s You can see that I changed the sensor axis to TOP -Z and RIGHT -X in the Simple BGC GUI. And then don't forget to calibrate after you changed the settings.
Should I use the 8 bit or 32..I have a freex skyview quad
tomstrb That depends on what gimbal you have.
Jesus Rodríguez Can you try this video ruclips.net/video/Q1-T42o5_10/видео.html
great video man!
+Alex Williams Thank you!
A very simple Thank You!
Thank you so much!!! Great help!!! :)
Mine doesn't have any controll signal connectors... can I buy these somewhere?
Well, your local hobby store maybe? Or try to find male to male Futaba connectors on Amazon?
3S battery? 11.1V
Try to connect a battery to the gimbal power connector.
Sometimes people wire the gimbal power to the small little connector of the battery, but I don't know, if you can buy that cable, or if you have to make that yourself.
can it work with phantom 2?
hi can you help ive wired up the gimbal to the naza but ot point straight up if i unplug the wire it work fine
How can I help?
Why is it that some people are only using 1 wire and others are using 2?
If my gimbal is shaking what should i do ?
mygiguser do you have a video showing how you modified the arm?
Sorry, I don't. Do you mean how to cut off some of the aluminum, or how to change it from right to left?
Change it from left to right
ok i cant get the pitch to work remote i have the same gimble everything works but the remote pitch. i did the same wiring diagram and still can you help?
If you don’t know how to do that, watch this video BGC GUI with MAC
On the BGC check, if you see the gimbal input is working. If not, try to connect 2 or all three wires on the pitch control connectors.
Ok just checked. When I moved the lever the EXT_FC_Roll bar was lighting up. Shouldn't the lever control the pitch?
Jermaine Anugwom Yes. You could change the setting in the BGC software, or switch the wires on the NAZA, or on your gimbal.
mygiguser do I just reverse the wires? How do I change the button settings in the BGC software?
Jermaine Anugwom If you leave the wiring, then in your case go to the RC-Settings tab and change the RC Input Mapping for ROLL to RC_PITCH. That should do the trick.
will this gimbal hook up the same way to a phantom2 v2 as well?
***** I don't know, I don't have a P2.
Do i really need to connect the roll to the f1 port? What will happen if i only connect the pitch?
ferdz cayanga it won’t roll at all.
The problème that now i use not a goodlucky gimbal , i use walkera g2d , and there is not software fort this gimbal...
Sorry, then I cannot help, because I do not have and I do not know the Walkera G2D gimbal.
Does this Gimbal have any instruction in youtube for phantom 2? Phantom 2 have another electric outlet.
Argo Hanimägi Does it? Do you have a picture? I thought the electrical connections are the same. Connect the gimbal to power and ground from the battery and the signal to F2 for the pitch control.
mygiguser
on the first photo, there are electric outlets which are on phantom 2, on the second photo there are cimbal wires. How do I connect gimbal and Phantom 2? static4.album.ee/files/1169/65/orig_29241479_vGS3.jpg
static4.album.ee/files/1169/65/orig_29241481_zOJv.jpg
OK, you need to watch the video and open the Phantom, and then connect the wire as shown in the video. The wires you have in your pictures are the connections for the Zenmuse gimbal, and those are different. You only need three wires. Power, ground and pitch signal.
mygiguser
Ok, but why do they but these wires to the package if I don´t need them?
mygiguser - wonder if I can pick your brains. i installed the gimbal successfully but I dont seem to be able to perform a successful compass calibration now - any ideas?
Not really. I would try to move the compass sensor?
Hey I need help
Its the 4th BGB CARD I BUY !!! they fry everytime i connect them to the naza, even if I only connect the signal cables... wtf
I have a naza v2, a 4s lipo battery, a 8bit basecam card, mounted on a dji f550
:( it's the last time i'm ever buying one of these
Fusorf make sure it is 5V power to the BGB board, not 12 or more
Hi
do you know what can i do when the gimbal does not appear in the assistant of the naza?
Thanks!
Camilo Fernades You need to be more specific. The gimbal in the video doesn't appear in the Naza software, it has it's own software!?
mygiguser OK. What is happening here is in NAZA's software don't have a option to active the gimba so how can i work the gimbal's tilt with my control of the phantom.
Camilo Fernades Maybe a different Naza software helps? I don't know, if the regular DJI software works with the Vision, I don't have a Phantom 2, therefore I am unable to try that over here, sorry.
i just try to connect the gimbal to my computer but they always said try to connect. even if i use the good com port! DO you have any idea
Instead of 2.2 try maybe 2.4
mygiguser i juste order this one: www.goodluckbuy.com/2-axis-brushless-gimbal-camera-mount-with-32bit-storm32-controller-for-gopro-3-4-fpv-black.html
the board is a 32bit Storm32. But i try so many thing that i'm lost right now. It's possible to send me the right link that i need for my board
i'm on pc and i think my driver is correctly set
Marcel Côté You could start a Java console and see what that gives you for an error message. I made a video for Mac ruclips.net/video/5I2KXE_P94E/видео.html, but the commands are the same on Windows.
I looked up your board, and that is different from the one shown in my videos. Maybe you find some info here www.olliw.eu/storm32bgc-wiki/Getting_Started
My gimbal keeps blinking red. It can move, but the movements are very very slow. It does not work properly.. You know why??
What happens when you remove the control wires?
+mygiguser Which are the control wires?
+Jonas Gorm Jensen red and black is power. Green and yellow for controls.
Thank you!
HEY BRO THIS GIMBAL SUPPORT THE GO PRO 4 ?????
+Edgard Martinez Don't know. Didn't try. But I don't see why not.
+mygiguser i have the Dji phantom 1 and go pro 4 black . But i need i gimbal i got try
OK . but i have exactly thé sale problème with thé goodlucky gilvall si thé problème is not thé gimbal but thé drone (or software)
You should install the goodluckbuy gimbal again, and use the BGC software to see in the Realtime tab, what the drone is sending. If the drone is the problem, then you will see it there. What about the videos on your channel? They show a goodluckbuy gimbal and you using BGC software?
WOW GREAT VIDEO THANKS VERY HELPFUL LOVE IT
ANTHONY EMMANUELLE Thanks
How did you modify the camera arm of the gimbal?
charles wayne I cut the aluminum away with a Dremel, otherwise the Velcro strap wouldn't hold.
I have an iLook camera with a built in 5.8gig transmitter. The antenna port is on the same side as the gimbal motor so I was trying to work out a simple way to solve the problem.
That should work.
Can i use this gimbal in dji phantom 2?
Others do. So I guess it works.
How can I connect the gimbal to the computer with usb? and where download the software??
Read the description of this video. The link is in the last line of the text.
Once you have the software, connect a USB cable to the board and to the computer. As shown in the video.
Hello, From how have you this Voice? How did you add this Voice?
Denis Leutwyler
ruclips.net/video/o_Stmv_h9to/видео.html
This video shows how to do it!
is this the phantom 2?
No, this is Phantom 1
Can anyone tell me what cable I can use to connect the board to the USB?My Gimbal looks exactly like this one but not sure how to connect to the computer.
+Steven Ingraham I used the same cable that i use to connect my GoPro to the computer.
That worked but how do you get the software for the bgc controller? I went to their website but could not download it.
+Steven Ingraham I just now went there and i could download it.
You ask for this: Google it:
JST female to JST-XH2.5 3S 4Pin battery balance charger plug connector adapter.
I think you have a male JST connector on the gimbal?
mygiguser Thank you so much!! This is what I've been looking for! I didn't know what it was called. Much appreciated.
mygiguser How can I tell if the JST connector on the gimbal is male or female?
mygiguser I just checked, the one connected to my gimbal looks like the two on the right, which I believe is female? grab.by/FAhu
Renee Gannon left male the two on the right female. My gimbal has a male connector attached to it. But if yours has a female, then you need a male to 3S 4 pin connector.
I cant find the red and grey wire to connect to the gimblal pls helppp
Do you have a picture of your setup? How can i help, if i can't see your setup? Did you make a video I can look at?
+mygiguser no I dont have a video but I can send you a photo of the set up
Go ahead. Or post a link to the photo.
what gimbal is this?
Bryan Hughes amzn.com/B00GAY5YBU
i think I found my problem thanks
Just out of curiosity. What was wrong?
Sorry, but it is hard to understand where some wires comes. I don´t understand where come wire nr 1 (at the picture). Also I don´t have on my Phantom wire nr 2. Do I have braze wire nr.2 and wire nr. 4 by myself ? Also my Phantom does not have wire nr 3, do I have to buy them separately. My Gimbal product has only these wires which are in last photo. Can you help me somehow, please.

Argo Hanimägi You need to show me where the wires in the last photo are attached to the gimbal. Just the color does not mean anything.
mygiguser plus.google.com/+mygiguser/posts/NSFHs6SNeqy
does this run on 3s battery?
yes, i used it with a 3S
Which phantom is this?????????
Phantom Version 1.1.1
can it work on a phantom vision 2 +???
I don't have one, but I believe it could work. The Vision2+ comes with gimbal, why would you need to buy a cheap gimbal?
because I crash it and I damage the original cam. I have a go pro hero 3, then I need to use it.
Sorry to hear that.
This doesnt work on the visión 2+
Phantom 2 don´t have this wires (like in this video), there are missing yellow and green wires which you connect with Gimbal. 3 wires what did you first connect in youre video (red and grey) - I don´t have this wires. I will send picture how does look out my Phantom 2 inside and this is not the same as in youre video.

Argo Hanimägi I see you don't have the red and grey. Just solder it to red and black, the big wires coming from the battery.
Please give answer
PLs sand u send the name of the Camera Gimbal and the same go on the DJI Phantom 2 vision
I ordered here: amzn.com/B00GAY5YBU
Name: Brushless Camera Mount Gimbal w/ Motor & Controller for DJI Phantom F450 F550 X525 Gopro Hero3
At this point I don't know, if this would work on the DJI Phantom 2 vision. I imagine it does, but I am not sure. Are you planning on using the vision camera, or do you think about mounting a GoPro?
thanks for time, i have the gopro hero3+ and dji Phantom 2 Vision
1:42 whats that
The noise? My German Shepherd was yawning -- LOL
Yeah:)
I have a similar gimbal china with firmware 2.2 b2 and its perfectly stable on the table and recording from my hand. When I fly with my Phantom 2 I get lots of vibrations in the video (it is worse than my P2V servo). Take a look here: ruclips.net/video/m3nIh-QpTw4/видео.html
What settings do you think I need to change to compensate for those vibrations ?
Thank you !

Quick tip to get those vibration balls into the camera mount. This makes it super easy! ruclips.net/video/jqYRhYfAEpU/видео.html
Very helpful info. Managed to set up my gimbal on the DJI FC40.
ruclips.net/video/8H3urQO05ZI-/видео.htmlFirst test.
Most annoying voice modulated narration ever, almost a useful tut.
LoL..... is that a computer talking?????? .... How funny is that, but still have to give you a dislike
Why?
Its annoying and distracts you from your video. You would be better off just playing some nice music and typing in your words...or better yet TALK in your own personal voice ;)
Well, i had no voice at the time. ANd it is difficult to replace an audio track on a RUclips video, once it's uploaded, besides the video is kind of outdated. You'll get a Phantom 3 for a decent price with a great gimbal on it.
And by the way, you could turn on subtitles, turn the volume down and play music of your liking on your radio while you watch this.
Ok i see now that your feelings are getting hurt and that you can't take constructive criticism...So good luck with your RUclips experience.... Bye
