Great vid guys, helped a ton. You wouldn't happen to know what's causing a problem with my lever switch? The Naza-M assistant shows that the lever itself is moving properly but my gimbal only moves to the "lowest" and "highest" settings even when I do the tiniest movements on the lever. Basically, lever at 0% is down, 50% middle, 100% up. But there's nothing in between!
Okay I know what causes it now. My pitch lever allows movement from -1000 to 1000. But my gimbal can only move between about -300 and 300. Any idea how I could set my pitch lever to control between this -300 and 300. Calibration doesn't seem to do the trick.
Sounds like you need to make adjustments to the gimbal controller it's self. If you google Simple gimbal controller you'll find an interface that allows adjustment.
Thanks a ton for the quick reply! Yeah managed to fix it with the simplebgc gui. Basically just set the pitch lever range from -1000 to a 1000 in the naza-m assistant so the gimbal receives the whole range, and then set the maximum degrees that the gimbal can tilt (-60 to 45 degrees). Everything works perfectly now! Thanks again.
Help me please... i have the GL-3X 3 Axis CNC Brushless Gimbal, but I don´t know to instal with the NAZA in to controller... it have 12 pines... please...MUCHAS GRACIAS y buenos vuelos..
In the case of an unfortunate accident with the new Vision Plus , could this kit be fitted rather than the original gimbal & camera ? which you know is very expensive to buy and replace. thanks
Marionville Multirotors Thanks , it was just a thought I know it wouldn't be a Plus anymore maybe more like a vision ? like you done in the video , can the one you were working on not use the app on a phone same as the 2 ? as your workshop one has a tilt control , sorry for the stupid questions lol
I have a phantom 1, and my wires are a little different, would you mind helping me hook mine up, by walking me through the process with my different wires? I have almost the same gimbal kit as you, however there are just a couple of tiny differences. Any help would be greatly appreciated! -Jim

Could you plz let me know how to do this to an UpAirOne drone? I destroyed mine, and I bought an after market gimbal but nobody can tell me how to hook it up. Please help!
Marionville Multirotors can you source this? I couldn't find any info for your statement, but that would make a big difference for me buying a P1 over a P2v2... Thanks
+Marionville Multirotors A couple of companies on eBay sell GLB 2 axis gimbal designed to fit Phantom 2 Vision incorporating the barrel shape camera. Easy fit and don't have to open the shell. $40 to £50. I have one fitted to mine. Only problem is the wire to the pitch control. Upgraded controller with shoulder wheel but so far not having any luck.

Yes if your using the a simple GUI you set the Naza setting to 1000 and make all adjustments with the Simple GUI.
GREAT Tutorial...Very detailed and informative.. Looking forward to more of your videos.

Interesting thought. I don't see why it wouldn't but you would be relying on the gopro wifi for video which is pretty short range and laggy.

Phantom 2 no longer allows for third party gimbals.

Thanks
goodluckbuy.com has gimbals that will work but you have to open up the phantom to install.
