- So I was doing a refrigeration maintenance at one of my clients' warehouse and all of a sudden I thought I should do a comparison between 3 coil cleaners on 3 of the same exact evaporator coils... all with the same level of dirtiness. The 3 coil cleaners i'll be comparing are the Blackhawk by Nuclagon, the No Rinse Evaporator Foam also by Nuclagon and lastly the Viper by Refrigeration Technologies. Watch till the end of the video to see which coil cleaner stands on top of the rest.

Great vid! Thanks for clearing it up that you can't just spray and go. More effort is involved. I'm going to use a water spray after the the foam has dissolved.
richard day thanks for watching. I’m glad I can help.
This is why we wash fruits and veg.
What a moron, this guy wear's no eye protection, no respiratory protection, not to mention he contaminated all the food in that freezer.... Plus he was stupid enough to document all of it on video and share it! Good grief!
What is the name of that warehouse so I make sure I don't buy any produce that comes from that warehouse?
I would be wearing eye protection if I were you especially working in a confined space. I have used New Calgon no rinse evaporator coil cleaner on small condenser reach-in's after using a brush & compressed air with some success. Of course I will use a small pump sprayer to wash the coil down since there will be no condensate occurring on the condenser coil.
For really dirty coils, this product is going to require a rinse down with a water hose. No rinse products are ok with coils that are only slightly dirty.
Best coil cleaner: Dawn dish soap mixed with water; about a 1:30 soap to water ratio. Pump sprayers work great, but I use a Ryobi 18 volt hand sprayer then rinse with a garden hose or even the same sprayer.
Good effort. Need a before after side by side comp. Some editing
I using the number two cleaner that works the best for me
I would remove the entire EVAP coils and take outside to clean.. then completely let it sun dry.. Same with the fans... remove , take outside to clean.
can u also compare the dawn water solution?
Yeah you really REALLY need to be wearing some safety googles man! you gotta take care of yourself. and shouldn't you have covered all those boxes of food below the evaporators??
All the sprays are food safe. I will definitely wear goggles next time!
@@dnoorian No, they aren't food safe. It very explicitly says it isn't on the Nu-Calgon Evap Foam No Rinse. This product also explicitly says May cause serious eye damage.
thanks bro at least we know the this type of coil cleaners what can do
PPE and produce! Naw B I'm gud appreciate it!
Man I would love to steam clean those coils!
Use the spray cleaner after brush only!
thanks for being true.
I can't believe the produce didn't get moved out away from the underside of those coils. A rinse with hot water sprayer would have helped clean them. No cleaning of the fan blades or fan guards?
hey man did you get better results by running it and letting it rinse itself or rinsing it yourself
Rinsing it myself
Please show which switch turns off the power to the evaporator.
The that turns the air conditioner off.
Great video!
DA BEST!
love how his eyes and lungs are just eating that spray up because he's not wearing any PPE
Hi I want to purchase this Evaporator coil cleaner
You are supposed to wet the coils, then spray and wait for foam to liquefy then rinse with water.
"no rinse"
@@buzoff4642always rinse
Lol, spray cleaner is not a vacuum or a brush. If you sprayed your dirty dishes with soap and then let them sit on the counter to dry should you complain that the dish soap didn’t clean the dishes?
The second cleaner you used said “no rinse”, implying that you are supposed to be rinsing the fins after you spray them. Every other coil cleaning video I have seen they physically remove the dirt after they have sprayed it.
The spray cleaner is to loosen the dirt, not remove it.
The FIRST ONE MUST be rinsed with high water pressure AFTER. IF you actually RINSED WITH PRESSURE, you may get the REVERSE results, Black-Hawk = #1.
The can says to start at the bottom work your way to the top.
A brush would've done a better job.
to clean it, we have to put it in our face too?
He says try not to get it in your eyes, but he's putting his own eyes in danger by spraying above his head without safety goggles.
I have the evap foam no rinse. These aren't supposed to be used around food. AND, it's labeled "Can cause serious eye damage", so he should have goggles on. While I appreciate the comparison, this demo isn't safe handling/use.
Did you even read the instructions?
I cant read.
Ooh, Gotcha. That makes sense.
No scans
Nice video and informative. Please dont be so reckless with your eyes young man. Wear goggles.
Where are your safety goggles?
Are u saying new cal gon or new cacan lol
new cacan ;)
Water is the best!
Is everyone going to walk past the fact he did this over food. That he didn’t move lol, like wtf
Viper wins.
You suppose to rinse it off
Just barefaced it huh bruh
You should probably close your mouth while spraying too
You forgot to put your safety classes.
So basically they all suck lol you need to shut them all down and connect a hose to a hot water heater and spray and brush those coils then you can use coil cleaner the viper seems like it made the coils brighter thew I use Alki Brite but its not for indoor use the problem with those spray cans is they foam up to quick its like they only clean the surface of the coil and it really needs to get in-between the fins to do the job right but thanks for the test man
Ninguno sirve para nada
Is this a troll video or is this for real? It’s so bad it’s funny like saying be careful not to get it in your eyes as the camera cuts back and he looks like Santa clause there is so much on his face . Then he says let me give you a better angle and he literally starts showing nothing. I mean , come on, this can’t be real…!!! 🤣🤣🤣. Also as others have said it’s getting all over the food are you kidding me!!! And if one is no rinse that must mean you rinse the other 2 right ?!?!! He said in comments it’s food safe which is obviously not true it’s probably extremely dangerous to ingest like send you to a hospital dangerous. So he says he can’t read but in the video he says the cans say to shake them well and one he says it states move from the bottom to top, he can obviously read, he prob said safe cause he realizes he messed up spraying over food. I wonder how many people got sick. And the awkward shaking of the last can omg lol prob my fave part ! I’m so confused but also amused. Either way thanks for the how not to video !!! What did I just watch. ??!! SMH
One more thing , when shaking a can use an up and down/back and forth motion , the weird way he shook it acts like a centrifuge keeping the contents in top and bottom of the can away from each other , I.e. what’s in top half of can stays there and what’s in bottom half stays there , it doesn’t mix at all …. I feel bad tearing this apart but man people can not be using this for real
Clearly you have zero knowledge of refrigeration. Clean opposite direction of the air flow.
Stop using trash
