    Another thing is I wish there was a gamemode for intermediate players, or for players who aren't skilled enough to do much more difficult crazies, but can complete most insanes, maybe some easier crazies (or are at least building up to it) and can confidently complete hards, cause I think especially with the increase of difficulty of accessing pro servers, most of the skilled players will play on base game, and it is really difficult to play on a server not on crazies or harder insanes, and if you find one that is on easier levels it won't be long until somebody joins and just boosts it up to crazy. I think it really sucks for people at that kind of middle skill level, cause if they join on chill servers it would just be pretty easy for them, since that is ranging from easy to hard, but on main game, they are just stuck on crazies, where they would just die a lot, and find it difficult to work on insanes. I remember when I played at that level, I found it so annoying being unable to play at my level.
    I feel like sometimes in the FE2 community, the super difficult and intense crazies are valued SOO much more than the easier maps, even if they are super well made, have really good obstacles, are super fun to play and just have great gameplay, they will only take the intense crazies that are super difficult seriously, and get very annoyed if people vote for easier ones too. Like I have seen people beat AVM easily, then die super quickly on Lava tower. In terms of crazies, I wish there were more less intense maps that are just fun to play, still difficult obviously, but not having loads of tower sections and intense moments. And I wish people valued and enjoyed easier maps more, because they can be so fun to play, with amazing gameplay and cool scenary, and just cause its easier doesn't mean its not a fun map!
    I also agree with all of your points and areas to improve, I think there needs to be a lot more creativity and experiments in map creating, but these button ideas would 100% cater to it more. Runic is awesome and 100% a step in the right direction!

      Ironically, Normal Mode should be that mode. I personally play on Normal Mode 95% of the time, and I have to agree that its usually Insane/Crazy, although I still find a fair few servers on Hard.

      @@just_ducky True, if I go to like less popular servers, I find they can be on hard, honestly sometimes it’s just a matter of luck to see if it’s consistent hard and insane or if somebody joins to make it crazy

    Okay I dont really think the intensity really needs to be changed, as it is we only play crazies and insanes in the game, if we make it easier to play those maps you will never see a normal, let alone an easy. If anything I think we need to make it harder to get to crazy, maybe make a gamemode with no boosting? I dont know how popular that would be but its a good idea imo. Also another idea for an event is that the intensity is affected x2 by survivability rates, not related but i think its cool. I think the 0.5 system is okay though I suppose, but it should be a challenge to get to crazy, due to everyone wanting it.

    Won't comment on the elite situation, but the remaining suggestions are honestly pretty good for enhancing the FE2 experience
    I must say that I'm actually enjoying playing FE2 more now than I did in 2018 thanks to the very impressive highlights system, though that may be due to the fact that I don't actually suck at the game anymore lol

      Fair enough. I do think FE2 is better than it used to be a few years ago, the problem is it just isn't evolving enough.
      If that sounded counter intuitive, think of it this way:
      If you were to play FE2 for the first time today, I think it would be a better experience than if you first started in 2018 or 2019.

      By the way, I don't intend on quitting. Think of it more as a state of limbo.
      If I can think of more original content to make, then I'll gladly make it. Its just I can't make original content if I don't have any ideas, which I sadly don't.
      To be honest, I'm surprised I managed to last this long given that FE2 is a basic game at the end of the day.

    Like I get doing that so people can play the maps with the experience being with the actual game but the map itself is much more fun when you don't have to get a private server to solo it. like I want to beat sandswept ruins but the map is just not possible for me to beat cause of whenever I grind of other maps to raise the intensity I either struggle cause I'm not a fe2 god or the moment I play a crazy map 2 things happen the map I want to beat is not an option or I die in the 1et jump and the learning process is just broken. HOW IS THIS A FUN WAY TO BEAT A MAP. But yeah that is my main issue with easy maps sure I get it but with Crazys well I have an issue with that at least make features like epic mini games where in solo servers I can choose what maps I want to try without the intensity system like that is a much more fun way to play a map.

      Yeah, I think it is a bit stupid that people can't play maps in CM. Especially for the harder maps.
      The more that I think about it, it might be beneficial for both the community AND Crazyblox. The community has an easier way to practise harder maps, and Crazyblox indirectly gets more traffic on FE2CM, helping more of the community learn about it sooner.

    Got this randomly in my recommendations lol, anyways.. time to type all this out.
    I don't practically hate Exploding buttons, I actually find them quite funny, and they actually work insanely well on certain maps and certain buttons (such as Chaoz Japan 1st button)
    Bias with highlights still exist, and the highlight system absolutely destroyed FE2. Although yes, it did revive the game, it made the community a LOT worse.
    About the elite situation, there is evidence that his silencing people from talking about the situation going on around him, instead of admitting to his mistakes, he deemed the document as "misinformation" and lied about anything being resolved. Also, not many even know about this, but in 2018/2019 he got exposed for stealing maps to his FE2 fanmade game without crediting creators, and also, before you ask, no, he didn't get permission from them either, he just ripped it off them, never apologized, and was also exposed for toxicity if I remember correctly, after then he left the community with no sort of punishment, but then everyone basically forgot about it, since if he joined back in 2020, he would've been kicked out of the community forever, but in 2022, the community was next to childish bad levels of cringe, and since it was so long ago, nobody knew about the drama that happened so long ago. Plus, to this day, he has never apologized, or admitted to stealing maps from other creators, and hasn't learnt his lesson from all these years, idk why it wasn't brought up at that moment, since even though it was in 2019 when the old drama happened, it still doesn't excuse him at all, and his new doc only makes him look like an idoit more.
    People are defending him because his "15" and it's "months go drama" just cuz it's 15, doesn't mean he can be excused from everything, consequences are part of life, and if he doesn't get any kind of punishment, what would be the purpose of FE2? Oh wait, I meant, what would be the purpose of life if you were to just to avoid any kind of punishment? Exactly, justice will come for you eventually.
    Also, crazyblox has confirmed that elite's OST's will be staying, and he isn't even getting banned, fantastic, crazyblox defending a literal evil human being, and not listening to his community, terrible look on you.
    I used to REALLY hate the intensity system, like, actually, it was so bad back then, but now, I've sort of gotten used to it by now, even though I was not happy about it being added, and basically replacing pro lock.
    Also, crazyblox NEEDS to add back pro server 2019, since that lobby is WAY better then what we got today, and very nostalgic at the same time.
    The star system isn't all that great, but isn't bad at the same time, then again, this was community voted, so there was some overrated or underrated votes in there, some of the stars are a bit overrated ngl.
    FE2 is now in a falling stage, everyone leaving, I'm just about almost done with the community as well, mostly due to lack of motivation to play, even the Christmas event didn't motivate me to play at all. It's really boring now, plus, crazy ruined the game, and it's community.
    I used to really love FE2 and it sucks leaving my childhood game behind, it actually really but, that's part of life sadly.. Crazyblox, if your reading this, I hope you improve your community, since rn, it's a literal dump rn, actually listen to your community, and take action against people that break rules, also the mod team is insanely bias :p just to make it even better!!!!

      Actually didn't know this wasn't the first time Elite had been exposed for bad stuff, also sucks to see Crazyblox's poor response to the situation. You'll most likely remember what happened to Nennai when she was called out on stuff, I'm sure some people will take this development as evidence that Crazyblox no longer cares about bad apples, potentially leading to more of this in the future?
      A lot of people are saying that Crazy+ will revive the game, and I disagree (I know this isn't relevant to the comment). I think it will revive the game for ~1 month and then FE2 will be back in the slump again. If I was Crazyblox right now, I would release Crazy+ and make serious changes to the game in the limited time I had to revive it. That's what I'm hoping he actually does once its released.

    i completely agree, fe2 was done for me after the 6th anniversary highlights got removed. Its so boring now, theres only a few maps, lack of updates and stuff, its been like this for years. and especially this month's crazy highlight was definitely not worth it and expected out of every nice crazy map deserted dirstrict was chosen, runic maze is so good tho! All the highlights could just be permanent because there isnt that many maps to play. The game gets repetitive at some point and is really boring. Crazyblox also doesnt update as often like a highlight could get updated by the map creator and he will update it days or maybe weeks later. About map events completely agreeing with you again, we get no plus rewards from them and it makes our gameplay harder in a way that isnt even enjoyable, only good one is mirrored. Even tho its a bit hard. Exploding buttons should be updated for each button. Especially avm 4th and ds 4th button. i dont die from them but many others do as they just kill 80% of the players at the back. and Elite's situation was really weird and unexpected, even tho i hope crazy does something about it he lets the osts stay in the game because almost half the soundtracks would be gone and most people really like them. And instanity system. its almost impossible to even get out of hard in some servers. boosting is required. Even in pro servers every server i join play in hard-insane. No good players are interested in the game anymore after the anniversary highlights got removed. If crazy brought them back fe2 would gain hundreds of players again and the game would be more fun and stuff. Old maps are really plain, even tho they are og and nostalgic and stuff they just dont fit in the current fe2 and new maps. At least those could be revamped either by the original creators or the unofficial ones which i find really nice. anyway why is this so long LMAO have a nice day ^-^

      I did feel like the 6th anniversary update was a bit much, but it was mostly enjoyable (especially because I got to beat DR finally!).

    The state of FE2 is like Chernobyl after Reactor 4 exploded, which is basically saying it is in ruins and most of the community is the radiation. (I say most of the community as there are good people in FE2, like the people who gift gems).

    pretty interesting video, feeling like leaving a few comments/ideas on some of these
    regarding the elite situation, the document shortzaz made a video on was apparently known for a little bit now and a big part of the fe2 community ''trash-talked'' it in some way, and people dont really care (one of the main factors why so is that elite is i think 15, which, a lot of people say, he still has a lot of time to develop himself and learn from his mistakes and personally i kinda agree with that)
    i like your ideas for the map events, rewards like what rescue and lost page do are something i wanted for quite a while; not sure how your idea for fog would work
    for the exploding buttons, you can actually already do this, jungle exploration did it and so did nightmare castle and possibly other maps out there, highlighted or not; making them official would seem nice
    im not sure but i think the optional buttons can be technically already done via touch timelines; on the other side, i think multi buttons are nice, could probably readd the event way for forgotten tombs as an introduction (on this subject, hard difficulty introduces a ton of new features like sliding, walljumps, airbubbles, variants etc., personally id like to see some of those be introduced in normal instead like how blooming lagoon had slides and maltaris valley had slides and walljumps; the old cave system also had air bubbles and the set camera; probably these stuff are allowed for highlights but official/permanent introductions for them would be better imo, although if it were to happen, it would be better if a few permanent maps were modified to have them which could intersect with having to edit the mirrored version aswell) and again, can be done with touch timelines however in this case, the player still has to press the normal buttons so adding the multi buttons would be better -- this is also done in tria.os and its pretty interesting
    the first proposal for the intensity system seems probably better (0 idea how intensity works based on the players survived amount), some values should be probably edited but thats pretty much it
    the star system is definetly off for a few maps, but i think it does its job well: approximating the difficulty of the map vaguely so players know atleast if its on the easier or harder side of the difficulty; i propose it could be replaced by something like Low (.0 - .3), Mid/Avg (.4 - .6) and High (.7 - .9) or maybe instead of 10 decimal points it can be like 5 ''difficulty points''/levels of difficulty so like L1 (.0 - .1), L2 (.2 - .3) and so on so its a little more accurate -- the star can have a different color based on the difficulty color, could have a different shape maybe
    dunno about leveling system and few maps have variants cause they are like more recent (can we give some love to the airbubble guys there are like 3 maps with it)
    extra ideas from me:
    1. considering we have the highlight system and a bunch of permanent maps ingame, i think it would be interesting if a new system got added where every few hours/maybe even every hour, the maps randomize between sets of maps, and we can have maybe like 7-10 or so maps per set (if a set doesnt have enough maps, maps from another set can be added) or every difficulty could just have its maps randomized, whereas if a map was already chosen last reroll, it can have a lower chance or even no chance of appearing next reroll; if a difficulty doesnt have enough maps, the maps will remain the same until more maps of that difficulty get added, and if there arent many new maps, the maps that have been already selected before could be added until the cap for each reroll/set is reached --- this idea could give crazyblox more space to add more maps without possibly making it cramped; has a bit of rng included and could be improved in some way but it could be an interesting system (it could also happen live, like how highlights work) oh also forgot to mention highlights will remain no matter what
    2. time in a map isnt so important and personal best kinda sucks considering you need to get lucky with good teammates if u want a better personal best so heres like a 2 in 1 idea: separate personal bests into solo and multiplayer; if in a public server, you are the one that presses all of the buttons (if another person presses a group button and you do so too, the run is still available for a solo best time), your personal solo best can still be updated upon finishing ----- the other mini idea is that each map can have a set time: if you beat the map before that set time, you could have a little exp/coin bonus (may not work so well on maps with timed doors)
    3. custom liquids self explanatory i cba to explain but like you can set how fast it drains ur air yeah idk + add no swim liquid back where your air drains when being in it and you dont swim

      You are heavily mistaken my friend, I read ALL of my comments.
      This is a lot to comment on, sure, but I'll do my best regardless.
      I am aware that you can add Exploding Buttons into the game without the need for the Event, but 0 maps do this (permanent ones that is). Obviously Crazyblox (or the map creator) could just rig them up by adding the #Fuse value or however its done (haven't edited a CM map for a little bit). I didn't know about touch Timelines though.
      Heh, the more I read this comment, the more I realise that FE2 has all the foundations for a masterpiece of a game, they just need to be applied properly. Variants, now touch timelines allowing for optional buttons!
      About the Fog Event and Leveling System, I don't know HOW to change them, I just know they NEED change.
      I do agree that Elite can change as a person (and if all this is true - I genuinely hope he can change) but it still doesn't take away from the people he's hurt or let down.
      When you say that you have no idea how the Intensity is calculated, I don't blame you. I was initially going to explain it before showcasing my "proposals" but it was so wordy and confusing that I just didn't bother explaining it.
      I really like the suggestion for the Star Rating being changed to be a bit less specific, as it helps avoid bringing objectivity into subjectivity, although I still stand by my initial "proposal" to remove it entirely.
      I can see the potential in your first idea, although I think it would be a bit better to make a new gamemode with only Highlights, just to avoid cluttering. The random sets idea could work if you had like 7 ex-Highlights return for an hour or day.
      Also I would LOVE a solo and multiplayer PB as half of my PB's are impossible to actually obtain due to cheaters.

      @@just_ducky yeah, fe2 has a lot of room for change, and fe2cm has an even bigger room for potential, although most of the times it takes way too much effort, along with the existence of the highlight system where most creators just aim for their map to be highlighted so they dont want to risk doing anything outlandish in terms of gameplay or detail/interaction between the map and the player

    I believe the main thing holding FE2 back is how tone deaf Crazyblox is. He takes a blind eye on the most passionate of players in the FE2 playerbase (The people who beat actually difficult maps.) and focus on the casual side on the game. These casuals will probably leave FE2 in a about like a month into playing so why focus on them? Why can't Crazyblox leave the physics alone in community maps? That physics change coming with the timelines update left a heavy sour taste in my mouth as salt on the already dripping wound from the timelines update, an update that literally killed all creativity for different map ideas. I don't want to play TRIA since the physics are so different to FE2, plus most of the maps happen to be some of the most laggy crap I have seen. Also timelines made it so Builders already making a map before the update had to remake the entire map with the timelines system and also closed down FE2CM legacy for what? exploiters. MAPS WEREN'T EVEN BEING ACCEPTED ANYMORE WITH FE2 CM Legacy, why close it down for the same reason as the main Fe2cm? I absolutely hate the recent decisions of Crazyblox, and his shills defending him on this. How many extreme crazies are made absolute BS by this physics change, literally all of them.

      True. I think Crazyblox goes against the wider community for a lot of things, quite a lot I've disagreed on. For example, I made a community post ~2 weeks ago going into detail about his "new map policy" after the Northern Mill/Toxic Woods drama, which stated that no permanent map is allowed gameplay changes [it wasn't clear if Highlights apply to this or not, as the program didn't exist at the time]. So revamps are essentially banned, which I believe will be very damaging to the game if it stays. We can all think of a bunch of maps that could do with a revamp, which this policy goes against.

    I was playing this game yesterday and started to notice how annoying the RNG'ed map events are, especially when they're literally tied to daily challenges. I also spent a good amount of time in chill mode waiting for a lost page event, which only appeared once and never again out of the 30+ maps i've gone through hoping i would at least get another, and did that happen...?
    Nope, all that came out of it was "random group buttons" this, "rescue escapee" that, that's how annoying it is. Your proposals for the events make more sense the more I come back to that part, lmfao.

      Yeah, part of the reason I don't like Map Events is due to the RNG surrounding Daily Challenges. That isn't really their fault mechanically, so I also threw in that suggestion to generalise the Map Events during a Daily Challenge.

    Imo: they should add a mode where every round has a special event, that's it. And also all disruptive events (I.e: fog and exploding buttons) will be moved there for a more clean experience.

      ​@@just_ducky I always thought it would be an event, but that'll just be random group buttons but even dumber so I thought the button would occur with a very small chance, and if the next button was rainbow it would give a little sound effect warning (to make sure you're even focusing) and it can't occur on crazy maps. Maybe the first 3 buttons can't be rainbow and I don't actually know what reward makes the most sense for a button half the server needs to press, and if there's 3 or less players everyone alive needs to press it.
      oh yeah if the amount of alive players are odd (like 11 players) it would be like
      12 = 6
      11 = 5
      10 = 5
      just so it wouldn't be that big of a deal
      btw here's a question, not_xz changed the song in his desert ruins videos because the song is made by WeDontTalkAboutIt, but if the song is made by them but the ost video is published by crazyblox (like AVM, DS, SSH) does the song have to be changed too

      @@adieuing Maybe just a lot of XP? But I feel like it would also need to do something creative, maybe change the path on the 2nd half of the map or something.
      Also, because its made by (we dont mention them) Crazyblox would most likely remove their OSTs to stop associating with them. Well, hopefully that's what he'd do as he did it with Nennai and Autumn Hideaway.

    I feel like the intensity system is Just fine, not perfect though.
    Some button ideas (and names) sounds weird tbh, tho variation buttons or secret buttons that gift diamonds would be great.
    I absolutely agree with map event rewards, though some events are Just fine (excluding random group buttons, they have to replace it with something like button jumble where every button pressed effects players like semi-blinding them or giving rewards).
    I also think crazy should change the fe2cm entirely, making some quality maps give certain points upon completion and a leaderboard ranking, like gd demon list.
    Aaand about elite, if he is guilty, %99 that is, we Just should treat it using the 'separate artist from the art' quote.

      And about elite, it really depends on what Crazyblox wants to do, I just hope he takes some form of action if Elite is guilty (which I think he is)

      That's due to lag, and is precisely why I want the buff on Crazy (larger explosion radius) to be cut.
      You can just about get away with the Insane buff (shorter fuse time).

    Mirrored event is cool, but its way too rare to find and newer permanent maps/highlights dont have a mirrored version.

      Yeah, although SSH did get a mirrored variant, which was strange (as Retro Coast, Zemblanity, AVM and DS didn't)

      I suppose the reason they havent implemented it in ds or avm might be because they are the hardest maps and messing up your muscle memory for them would be really hard because of their pace@@just_ducky

    11:24 there's a small problem I find inside the map, there's no indication of where to go, making it a lot confusing, it could be better if at least it points out where you are supposedly to go in each variant by some arrows because you rather get lost or will take a lot of time to guess the path and become late

      I do agree that a couple of the variants are confusing but for the most part the map indication was good enough that I knew where to go even on a first attempt.

    I disagree with the star system, as imo, PC is MUCH easier than AVM, and having them both at 5 would be totally misleading, and will especially become a problem when crazy+ is added, comparing Unwelcome to Desert Ruins. However, I have been DREAMING about something like the multi-button, and I really think that it will call for some more unique maps. As of right now, the only thing creators can do to add uniqueness to their maps is pull a Runic Maze and add a crap ton of variants, but it'll probably take a while to make the extra gameplay and polish all of it, so I'll instead suggest some new mechanics.
    Zipline switching: This is kinda done in Liquid Breakout, but this mechanic would allow you to jump off a zipline and let you grab onto another zipline without having to touch the start of it.
    Charged Sliding: Imagine kicking down locked doors by sliding into them. This is essentially this mechanic if you time it right. This can be a variety of different obstacles, such as shelves, boxes, vent coverings, or even other weird things that might apply to that map. I think this mechanic can not only help complement OSTs if used right, but also make the slide mechanic far more composite than pressing a key in front of a small space.
    Just a warning, the rest of the ideas listed below are extremely far-fetched and definitely won't make it into fe2
    Abilities: Power ups in levels that for a certain period of time, makes navigating around the map a bit easier, such as a higher jump, faster speed, a double jump, a midair dash, or walljumping from any wall.
    Timeline Campaigns: If more timeline (Maps that have prequels/sequels, NOT the engine) based maps appear in FE2, have an option to go through these maps in chronological order in a single run as a campaign, which might give a good amount of exp depending on overall difficulty.
    Editable Replays: Replays were seen in Riptide, but being able to edit them is the main point here. This might mainly extend to getting alternate camera angles of your gameplay that you can't afford to capture while playing the map, or getting rid of walls to see into small rooms where the camera might have a hard time seeing all of the desired action, or simply just adding cinematic bars and any other effects that you would like into the replay. Would probably require a ton of work to get it onto RUclips, so I don't see this happening at all.
    These were mainly ideas that I had that I think would add some more variety into maps.

      Although I don't know anyone who believes that PC is easier than AVM, it is not objectively easier. That's the problem with the Star Ratings. It isn't so much of a problem with a comparison like that, but when you compare PC to BM or SSH, or SSR to IP, that's when problems can start arising.
      Zipline switching would be a cool mechanic, but with the ongoing Elite situation I don't know how I feel about FE2 using a mechanic from his game...
      Charged sliding is definitely a needed mechanic, I should've discussed sliding more generally. My personal idea was a slide boost, where the Air Dive allows you to slide further and faster if you jump from a higher distance. Your idea could also be good, and both could even work well together. Maybe to "charge" a slide you would need to Air Dive from a certain height.

      He made collapsing reactors, blue moon sector C and one other map I forget. I’ll see if I can find the ids but he put an alternate route in sector c and collapsing reactors that is activated by an optional button and completely changes gameplay throughout the map@@just_ducky
