I can't imagine the pressure of having an entire orchestra behind you and an entire audience watching you while trying to coordinate your 10 fingers at the same time. It boggles my mind. Wonderful performance!
you prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know of a method to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the login password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Major Rhys Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
It's a solo instrument, not an orchestra, so the player can take freedom with the tempo. Also, if you actually read the sheet music, the A section is andante, while the B section is Molto adagio e dolorido with rall. and rit. throughout the piece.
0:17 Hey you ... ... I am talking about YOU (the guy sitting behind the lady), I know you want to be laughing, but laughing what!!? Listen, that's the ONLY thing you are supposed to do now.
João Machado Yes, keeping the tempo is absolutely essential. Rubatos and all those should be done careully and with meaning. All pieces need continuity and flowness. you can play slow sometimes too, but the sentimentalities should be done careully too, because if you mess up with the tempo and with excessive rubatos the piece looses power and meaning. You can fall asleep listening to it.
Yes, you are absolutely right. And that was precisely what i was going to write. The guitar's musical possibilities are somehow isolated from the rest of the instruments, either from the musical or technical point of view. In some way, destroying the tempos like this is possible and "admissible" in the guitar as if it was a demonstration of expression, but if you are a serious listener and pretend to play the guitar in a serious way in a concert hall, messing up with the tempo the way many guitarist do is inadmissible in my opinion, because the piece, the music loses meaning. We, as guitarist and guitar lovers, shouldn't let ourselves isolate this instrument from the rules and values of the rest of the musical community.

your 8 fingers
Well, sometimes 9 if you use the pinky.
1:03 to 1:50 touches one's soul. Truly magnificent!
Loving how dynamic the playing is. Soft and quiet then with brief bits of medium intensity.
Bravo to Zoran. Beautifully, virtuously and with so much feelings. Thank you for sharing this video

Agreee but... And?
Classical music has a tempo set in the work. There is a little freedom but not as in jazz, pop etc.
I wonder what key his HAIR is in?
Nase gore list.
I enjoy playing this Prelude myself in similar style This is not a piece that needs to follow a time signature. It requires expression and emotion.

why do so many guitarist keep destroying the tempo as if it would have been a demonstration of expression?
'Cause it "can be" a demostration of expression
You're absolutely right! It's only an expression of bad taste and disrespect for the piece...

Feeling is one thing. Classical guitar clichés is other. These kind of "expression" makes us look ridiculous amongst other classical musicians.

Muy lejos del Brasil. Muy lejos. Pobre.
Sound is not so great but the interpreation is excellent!
Completely lost the entire point of the piece…
