I have a question, is the faster Mesprit cutscene method accessible on Diamond/Pearl? I've heard that legendaries respawning after rebattling the elite four was only implemented in Platinum/HGSS onwards

Seriously, the shiny sound effect IS the most satisfying sound in video games. More specifically the Gen 4 one. It's so frustrating the fact that they've changed it for no reason. Also, congratulations my dude! You sure are an inspiration! Yesterday I caught my shiny Charmander in FireRed after 4,399 resets. Just hunted for it because I've watched a video of one of your hunts!

Thanks for demonstrating the trick to skip Rowan’s dialogue! I wasn’t finding much online on it, so I wasn’t sure if mesprit would reappear in the cave or just start roaming again after the e4
congratulations on finishing the gen 4 roamers!! that's quite an accomplishment! mesprit was my very first shiny roamer, i got it after 1,415 sr's (kinda similar numbers!) and since i didn't know it respawned, i did it the long way... but it was worth it. it's such a pretty shiny. i still have it roaming free on my platinum, it's a nice surprise to stumple upon it while hunting for other things! sending you some shiny luck for the colosseum hunt (if you're still doing it, anyway)!
Congrats on getting Shiny Mesprit and all the rest of the 4th Gen Roamers shiny. Seeing you hunting in Gen 4 really makes me want to hunt in it too, so I can start a DTQ in it. Speaking of, I found Shiny Wimpod for my Pokemon Sun DTQ while watching the video, so now I have 3/6 of my team, so thank you for the shiny luck :D

I’m going for shiny Treecko in Ruby and 2 days in a row, one at 1910 and the next at 2285 soft resets, I ran into shiny uncatchable Poochyena. Just my luck lol. Still going strong for Treecko though!
@@Grrk_Jr Update: I got ANOTHER pooch. That makes 3 so far. One a day for three days straight. I'm baffled. And it was at 2399 soft resets, which is insane to have found 3 in such a small amount.
I'll likely be restarting my platinum game after transferring everything I want to keep and getting far enough to hunt giratina since I didn't SR hunt it in the beginning
In my original Platinum file, which I still have, the Mesprit was a full odds random shiny, still have it and it’s one of my favorite shinies because it was my first.

I'd say one of the best parts of gen 4 was the physical special split. gen 4 was just overall amazing. Congrats on getting shiny Mesprit and finishing the gen 4 roamers! I thought about trying a new kind of shiny quest. well I'm sure it's been done before, I have done zero research, but I thought about a shiny region quest. Every place you can find pokemon, you find a shiny. all routes, towns, caves and whatnot. It'd take quite a while, especially GSC/HGSS haha. That's insane Sonikks, congrats! I'm currently ina similar situation where I'm doing badge quests for both Diamond and Pearl at the same time, and I got shiny Piplup, Geodude, and Drifloon (all full odds btw) in my Diamond before shiny Turtwig which is still going on even now haha.
Congrats!!! I'm doing my own quest. The Shiny Monkey Quest bc that's my favorite animal. I think that's a neat idea for all hunters. Hunt your favorite animal. I'm starting with Grookey.

One of these days when he shows us the first encounter and says “obviously this one won’t be shiny”, the game will prove him wrong.
I mean every hunt he does he has a chance of that happening, hes basically hunting a 1st encounter shiny haha
