-First a majority of the house votes for impeachment
    -This is like an indictment
    -Senate then forms a court
-The chief Justice presides for the president
-Senate can remove from office with a 2/3rds majority
-Vice President Johnson was impeached on February 24, 1868
-Main charge was for removing Stanton in violation of the Tenure of Office Act

I read that Johnson was actually impeached four separate times. I can't find my source. Any direction would be helpful?

I don't believe that was true, he was impeached only once, with 11 charges. The Senate found him not guilty on every one.

He had a previous 1867 impeachment inquiry followed by a vote against impeaching him.
