Lesufi cannot be trusted. Telling the world that DA asked for 3 positions and was offered 3 positions but then tell the world DA turned around and wanted more. Truth is that DA said 3 positions and 2-3 positions to other parties. Telling a half truth is as good as lying.
@@RichardThwala-c5uSo the ANC have 34% of the vote. If a motion of no-confidence is put forward, who can Lesufi bank on to vote with him? He needs 41 votes and has 28 from the ANC. He can probably count on the PA 2 seats and Rise 1. That gives Lesufi 314 out of 80. Are you suggesting that the EFF (11) and MK (8) will vote to keep him in power or will they prefer to deal a blow to the "ANC of Cyril Ramaphosa?
I don't think Lesufi is capable of leading the largest economy province that has still unresolved challenges since 1994 to date, and in Setswana we call him " Ntwa dumela", in English means "he who greets with fire". He is always aggressive, ready to fight others.
Many lessons to be learnt out of this coalition/GNU environment including: 1. allowing more time for negotiations at national and provincial levels, in terms of a Constitutional amendment (in line with best practice globally); and 2. that the concept of proportionality actually needs to include a formula in the agreement for how it is calculated.
Not sure how proportionality can work if in law then it may have meant that the GNU will have ANC + DA + EFF + MK all being forced to be in government together? Coalitions are formed by parties willingly coming together in good faith and based on give and take. The ANC is in denial that they actually lost and therefore they act as if they are in charge.
But media should bring Panyaza and Solly together, in one studio and be asked those questions, especially the part of sharing of posts including or excluding other political parties.
It's rich for politicians to stand on principle when they don't get their way during negotiations and willing to renage or roll over on previous principle positions when they have been allocated ministerial positions e.g size of cabinet.
@@zwakelemthalane6712 all this brought the dishonesty of ANC on full national dislay. Now people can see that easily. If not, they choose to be blind. Hi @@ednafourie7509 , the meer fact that many opposition parties changed tact in exchange for positions proves you wrong to a degree, they're all deceptive. My point is let's stick to our principles regardless of the carrots dangled in front of us, BOSA and ActionSA seem to somewhat be holding on to this so far. I had expected the DA to resign as ministers in protest of the cabinet of patronage if not then at least refuse to move into the ministerial mansions per their publication of 27 Feb 2023 issued by Leon Schreiber himself. My frustration comes from a place of disappointment as it seemed easy to trade principles for cabinet positions, principles that were the basis of our decisions on 29 May.
@@ednafourie7509 my disappointment stems from principled stances take pre elections seemingly being pack up in suitcases as people are ushered into mansions that they previously claimed were excessive and unjustifiable. These are some of the principles we based our votes on. Take the DA for example, Schreiber himself issued a statement about the excesses of cabinet on 27 Feb 2023, where is he today? Don't get me started on the U-turn that some parties of the Moonshot Pact did on the slightest possibility that they could occupy government posts. If your principles are not absolute then by definition you have a price.
Panyaza has shown on national tv what DA document says...3 to da 7 to Anc and other parties..in gnu...and premier Anc....now what happened Anc has premier took 7 and gv 3 to other parties...so who was the crook here...😏
Clearly you chose not to listen to the interview or read the "leaked" documents. The agreed document was that the DA would have 3 key portfolios, and from the other 7, 3 would go to other parties, leaving the ANC with 4 portfolios and the Premier. This was agreed and then reneged on.
@@therealbongamkhize Don't forget it's 45% party that decided not object to the election results and not turn up for agreed upon coalition talks with the IFP on two occasions.
55% of KZN vote was against MK. One can always do your own combinations of your favourite parties which is not the same for each of us, but at the end of the day stable government normally needs 50%+1 parties working together and being able to depend on each other. The issue is not about who is the biggest party while still having less than 50%+1 but who can agree to work together despite differences. MK sabotaged themselves when IFP was willing to listen to them to give them 50% + 1, and MK didn't pitch but now gives us excuses of wrong arrangements by IFP. Even if MK was governing KZN with 45%, each time they will need to go to parties to support them with votes for budgets etc. DA is not complaining in Gauteng about ANC managing to get other people to join them to form the 50+ 1% but the breaking their gentlemen's agreement.

@@mikesham3204 I agree with you. They (plus all those that went with the ANC) only have 32 seats in the Gauteng legislature out of 80. All the other parties can stop them implementing any legislation or anything else. They are sitting ducks. That is why they say "the door is open for negotiations". The winner in the end is the DA and all the other parties, who together have 48 seat. The DA had nearly 1/2 of that. They thought they were clever, but objectively, they cannot do anything unless the parties in the opposition agree. Sometimes greed hits you back later. Only the future can prove who is honest and gets things done.
It can until there is a vote of no confidence. If I were to advise the EFF and MK, I would raise a motion of no confidence immediately on Monday. This will either end the GNU or bring the ANC back to the negotiating table.
Lesufi disrespects the National ANC leaders and their agreement with the DA and other parties. The ANC will have to discipline Lesufi by recalling him from the position of premier. The ANC must replace Lesufi with another premier that abides by the policies of his party.
The ANC will have to do something. If I was in MK or EFF, I would table a motion of no confidence in Gauteng on Monday. This will force the ANC to do something very quickly or they would lose our nationally and provincially.

Even the EFF is unhappy with the ANC Gauteng cabinet composition. Gauteng needs adults in office, we do not need corrupt cadres, South Africa is tired of paying for millionaire politicians who do not do their jobs. Gauteng is falling apart and we don't need the same ANC who caused it. The politicians forget that the people suffer so that they can be millionaires and we are tired of it. The government needs to wake up and start doing their jobs. We have kids starving in this country, we have kids who cannot read and write, we have students with degrees who cannot get jobs. WE ARE TIRED. We don't have clean water, our electricity is a joke. We are tired of paying millionaires to be politicians while the people suffer!
SOLLY I STAND BEHIND YOU DON'T WORRY EVERY DOG GET HIS DAY
Structural weakness : To allow a political party member to appoint ministers on a national level and MEC's on a provincial level.
Yes!!!!
Days of voting for ANC and EFF are over
Let's go DA, let's go, all the way!!
If the president does not involve him in this, fairness. This will bite him hard. Jhb has to be fixed.
I completely agree with you.
Your a good man Solly...
Lesufi cannot be trusted. Telling the world that DA asked for 3 positions and was offered 3 positions but then tell the world DA turned around and wanted more. Truth is that DA said 3 positions and 2-3 positions to other parties. Telling a half truth is as good as lying.
That is exactly right!
Solly You are amazing
Motion of no confidence
DA doesn't have numbers to pass that motion 😂
@@RichardThwala-c5uSo the ANC have 34% of the vote. If a motion of no-confidence is put forward, who can Lesufi bank on to vote with him? He needs 41 votes and has 28 from the ANC. He can probably count on the PA 2 seats and Rise 1. That gives Lesufi 314 out of 80. Are you suggesting that the EFF (11) and MK (8) will vote to keep him in power or will they prefer to deal a blow to the "ANC of Cyril Ramaphosa?
Well done and keep it up Thank You
Im praying my family listen to me Lets get OUT of GAUTENG 🧐🧐🧐
I support you 100% Mr Solly Msimanga!!
Proud of you DA❤
Solly is a great guy. Thank you Solly for sticking to your principals😊
DA are the future
Live Debate between Solly and Panyaza on face the nation
No ANC member ever does debates.
I don't think Lesufi is capable of leading the largest economy province that has still unresolved challenges since 1994 to date, and in Setswana we call him " Ntwa dumela", in English means "he who greets with fire". He is always aggressive, ready to fight others.
A president in the making..viva DA ...
Thanks!
Many lessons to be learnt out of this coalition/GNU environment including:
1. allowing more time for negotiations at national and provincial levels, in terms of a Constitutional amendment (in line with best practice globally); and
2. that the concept of proportionality actually needs to include a formula in the agreement for how it is calculated.
What is VAT? Currently set at 15%, Value Added Tax (VAT) is included in the price of most goods and services.
Panyaza won't come to a DA leaning podcast
Do you think that he is too scared?
Solly very good 👍
It's rich for politicians to stand on principle when they don't get their way during negotiations and willing to renage or roll over on previous principle positions when they have been allocated ministerial positions e.g size of cabinet.
@@zwakelemthalane6712 all this brought the dishonesty of ANC on full national dislay. Now people can see that easily. If not, they choose to be blind. Then they should suffer more to evntually see wth their own eyes and hear with their own ears the dishonesty and backstabbing. So no, the DA did not lost, they are exposing the dishonesty of ANC by taking the higher ground. Prove me wrong.
Very hypocritical 😂
Panyaza has shown on national tv what DA document says...3 to da 7 to Anc and other parties..in gnu...and premier Anc....now what happened Anc has premier took 7 and gv 3 to other parties...so who was the crook here...😏
Pity that the full story is not being revealed and that the public are being duped by proportional information.
Clearly you chose not to listen to the interview or read the "leaked" documents. The agreed document was that the DA would have 3 key portfolios, and from the other 7, 3 would go to other parties, leaving the ANC with 4 portfolios and the Premier. This was agreed and then reneged on.
Fair would have been ANC 5 DA 4 and 1 ea to the next two parties. But they didn't want the DA because cosy with EFF
What happened in KZN was worse. 45% of the voters voted for a party to govern their province but the province is governed by a 17% party leader.
Zuma did this to IFP in 2004 elections. Therefore, you MK blind followers don't cry.
@@therealbongamkhize Don't forget it's 45% party that decided not object to the election results and not turn up for agreed upon coalition talks with the IFP on two occasions.
Obayeke bafo ngoba yibo abanamavoti amaningi,it's fine abenze ngendlela yabo, kodwa onenqondo uyayibona kodwa iylima zizomana zisitshela ngokuthi mkp yayilibele amacala,
55% of KZN vote was against MK.
@@astra6098 55% voted with the knowledge that the party they are voting for will not go into marriage with the parties they actually went into marriage with. ANC voters hate DA and IFP because of the history of these parties. But they are forced into this rubbish coalition.
Watch from 19:30 to 19:45.
(Hilarious)
Anc outsmarted the DA in all respects. From Speaker to President and Premier 😂❤
There is a difference between outsmarting someone and deceiving someone!
Effectie Programmes that speak to the challenges facing GP ,;must be in place , Solly ,:ur so correct. Ethical leadership and diligence. Politics of the stomach. Iam an ANC supporter and residing in GP, i agree this is a mess with such a strong oppositions. Panyaza will have to restart the negotiation process, because what happened last night is poor leadership and still wanting to continue with the looting and the incompetencies, saving their skins and not wanting to take responsibility for poor performance. The door is still open for redress. Chaos and more vote of no cobfidence and impeachment. This must be corrected otherwise ANC in GP will loose everything, local and national elections.v
I agree with you. Being so duplicitous will cost the ANC dearly in the future.
There's no such thing as principles in the ANC vocab, it's a foreign concept to them..
"You were stupid to vote him in as premier" 😂😂 l think most people are thinking just that. The ANC, as always, move the goal posts so if is not a surprise that they did this. Let see what happens.
I truly think that the ANC have extracted a very short term win out of this which will cost them dearly in any future dealings with any other party.
Very silly self-defeating politics from ANC. Of all the parties to alienate they chose the DA whom they know is a stable and dependable partner ...
With 3 slots given to "smaller" parties, now only 7 slots plus premier available. This can't work??
It can until there is a vote of no confidence. If I were to advise the EFF and MK, I would raise a motion of no confidence immediately on Monday. This will either end the GNU or bring the ANC back to the negotiating table.
Lesufi disrespects the National ANC leaders and their agreement with the DA and other parties.
The ANC will have to discipline Lesufi by recalling him from the position of premier.
The ANC must replace Lesufi with another premier that abides by the policies of his party.
Which policy of the party are you referring to? Can you share that policy if possible
The ANC will have to do something. If I was in MK or EFF, I would table a motion of no confidence in Gauteng on Monday. This will force the ANC to do something very quickly or they would lose our nationally and provincially.
Dear Mr Solly, What is happening with Ekurhuleni impacting ? the overall Government policies ?, it is the tip of the iceberg on the Incredible state of affairs in the Ekurhuleni Municipality, whereby things are so entangled that even the Government themselves will find it hard work to untangle, the members refuse to let go of their seats, rather using the classical 'racecard' , DA 'appartheid' card, and this points to the hard, hard, job to recreate the Ekurhuleni Council Culture, Germiston ? My experience isn't the best, although we also found real 'Angels' there.. We appreciate you, Mr. Solly ! To straighten Gauteng-Ekurhuleni is a massive task, and it began even before the Local Government was established ?
The ANC is greedy.
Solly youre doing well! But who is lying, ANC or DA? We know the ANC cannot be trusted, but explain to SA what exactly happened that you guys accuse each other being LIARS!😢
Lefu showed what DA was proposing on national tv...Solly not lying
@@MaudDavids-z2n The agreement is in the public domain and I have seen it. Lesufi is lying.
Lesufi did not show us what was written and signed on that piece of paper. Looks like con artistry and that paper may even be blank.
Cursed are those who trust in mortal men and in their own strength and cleverness
Blessed are those who trust in the LORD God, His strength and His wisdom
Love the challenge at the end. Panyaza, are you feeling bold?
Panyaza is a coward. He will never come onto this show.
Mike trying to trip up Solly but failing miserably!!!
Teach this useles premiere a lesson of hes life....DA.. please put a motion of no confedinse in this useles mister ASAP...ASAP...ASAP
DA should never have joined ANC in GNU, like going to bed with a rattlesnake. They should pull out.
Who shafted who 😂😂?
I have seen the documentation and quite clearly Panyaza Lesufi, just as Cyril did in the cabinet selection, chose not to honour the agreement that they had signed.
I like the callout at the end 🤣
I doubt if Panyaza has the balls to come onto the show.
Something is brewing behind the scenes. Dont see how Mk and EFF are sitting back taking this new GNU.
Is the document that Mr Lesufi is referring to liers?
Anc is keeping on shooting it's self on the foot 2026 is around the corner they are going to cry again
anc swindled you guys.. if you were close with anc on votes, why did u accept deputy speaker to start with? it supposed to be premier anc, speaker da, deputy ifp, cabinet split 4 anc 3 da and the other 3 take 1 each..
That is exactly what was originally agreed to.
Question - how could non corrupt, ethical mps ask the corrupt, mafia ANC to follow guidelines that is all inclusive, non criminal, non racist understanding to better the citizens and grow SA the same country the ANC has destroyed
Call that gentleman who ones beaten Solly, to come explain why he did that to him
LUSUFI said Jhburg belong to the ANC
Let Panyaza and Solly come and face people of Gauteng, hearing from one side has never been fair. But its not about applying the National process , it's about voters and the needs of the GP, not about an individual and hi greediness. 4-3 and one each smaller parties. But Panyaza said 5- 4-1. That's why we request a debate between these two men.
Panyaza will never debate. There were countless invitations for debates before the election and he turned down every one. No ANC leader ever debates anyone.
28% to DA is a third of people in Gauteng… People want DA whether you like it or not and they deserve to govern in Gauteng.
