I moved from Mid-sized with extra wraps to JumboMax XL Grips and LOVE them!
They definitely take your hands out of the swing and stop you from getting "flippy", but allows you to put a Harder hit on the back of the Ball.

I played midsize for a few years. I prefer them over standard grips…just feels like I have more control.

I agree I think those grips will train you to keep your hands more passive which is why you're hitting a fade when you first tried them. The more you get used to them the more you'll be able to get that gentle high draw by left wrist bow and more rotation instead of flipping the hands closed which can cause the big ol' snap hook if you overdue it
I just was told I should be using midsize grips. I tend to keep the club face closed to promote a snap. When I made sure club was square, I was hitting baby fade then back to draw. Still on standard grips but again looking to utilize midsize grips. Had it on a 5w and liked it. Produce more fades but seems I work the draw.

I did the same thing and went to the +4 grips, took a minute to get used to but then was so much better! Love mine
I use these grips in Midsize. You really notice the bottom hand size when you're chipping. You'll get used to them in no time G -Man
Same grips for me MCC +4. I put mine on on most of my clubs last summer and when I get a new club I put these on right away.
They are expensive, but they work well.
At the time, last summer, they reduced my driver & 3-wood slice quite a bit.

I made the switch the midsize plus 2 wraps. Definitely pushed everything while I was adjusting to it but now, it feels perfect
I've only been playing golf for 3 months and decided to regrip my driver and pitching wedge, since they are my best clubs, and they are way better to use than any other grip!
I went to the thicker grips recently as well. Dropped my HCAP 3 strokes. It's just a lot harder to miss left.

Everyone considering going bigger and or heavier grips: Make sure, if you know your clubs well, that you understand adding weight to the grip can change the swing weight. That could result in a completely different feel and release. It may take some tinkering to get it right.
In the past I’ve gotten one grip and put it on my 7i for a test club. Then you can mess with swing weight and what not on 1 club vs all seven or eight irons- for example.
Just went with the Jumbo Max medium grips. They are actually lighter than the normal grips I replaced and that is their claim to fame. Just ask Bryson. LOL Definitely a learning curve with the larger grips!
I switched to those grips back in March of this year and love them especially on hot days when I was sweating.
I use oversized grips on my woods and midsize on my irons. I like you am taller and have longer hands so it helps me get a easier grip without to much effort. I have been using the super stroke cross comfort as it doesn’t taper as much this like yours stays thicker for the right hand.

I got thicker grips about 7 years ago. I think over time you will like it a lot. Dang, you are at my home course! That 3rd hole you played the fairway kicks left. 🤣
I love the bigger grips. Especially with wedges. Just bought a 52 haven’t used it much just cause I haven’t switched grip around
Personal opinion if you got the plus 4 wrap golf pride then the double wrap under most likely wasn’t necessary. It will take the feel out of the club with all those wraps. Just what I learned from personal experience. Maybe something to look into with your wedges to get rid of your double wrap but still use same grips.
Agreed... I would have just switched to midsized without the wraps and then transitioned if it didn't have the intended effect. A midsize grip is 2 wraps under the standard. I wonder if he switched back.
I got the MCC Plus 4 fitted and it changed my game! You're gonna love them
I moved to double wrapped with a mid size and they feel so good. I've got big mitts, so the difference is real. But having a thicker grip helps slow down rotation just a touch.
So I have huge hands too. I was thinking I'd be able to turn my hands over easier with bigger grips rather than feeling I'm holding pencils. What do you feel like with the larger ones if you're trying to hit a draw?
It’ll slow your hand rotation down alright- you’ll hit nothing. It power fades like the euros
I just switched to midsize a month ago. Started hitting more of a fade, strengthened my grip a little to correct it a touch. I've hit a draw for 20 years, but I think I actually like fading my drives. I don't know why, but once I started, I don't want to go back.
And this was all the motivation I needed…. Bought a full set of +4 align grips after this video!

had those grips on my irons and hated them. actually made it hard for me to turn my hands over and constantly hit shots right or was leaving the face open.

I love your swing it seems to be effortless I ordered new clubs I’ve always played with midsize grips and my new clubs are coming with standard grips I’m kind of looking forward to trying these out.

I just so happen to have bought a full set of Adams idea irons and they have Winn dri tac oversize grips and I love them.
I worked for golf pride for a bit in-between jobs it's a tiny company but super productive! The guy that does quality control and his wife are some super genuinely great people. They are really great they even hired a mentally challenged person to run there custom order laser cut club grips!
Ive got midsize grips on all my clubs. The iron feel great but im thinking driver/3 wood should be standard grips due to over fading.
I run the jumbo versions of them and double wrapped there amazing

I wear XL glove and i use jumbomax lite S. It’s a tad bigger than oversize but the same weight as standard grips. This way i can keep the swing weight the same as how it should be

Used these in midsize for awhile but actually caused me to leave the club face a little open sometimes so just switched back to standard!
Your gonna love them. I play 7 build up with 1 piece of two sided tape and a mid sized grip.

Mid-size MCC+4 grips feel awesome but make sure you ask your fitter about SWING WEIGHT if you move from standard to mid-size !!!

I play the GP tour velvet midsize plus 4’s with one tape wrap. So much more control for me, I loved the change

I'm getting these grips and fitted for all my current clubs in the off-season when Golf Town up here in Canada does the half price grips and free installation. Got some old Ping i3 blades for next to nothing and loving them, but they're a touch too long, and the grips aren't great. But next year, I will have the POWER! Golf Pride grips are pretty much the best. Got a Pro Only green star pistol grip put on my putter and it's awesome.

I switched to CP2 midsize a few weeks ago I have really big hands I was hitting a hook from flips in my hands from time to time and my shots wouldn't be real consistent sometimes a slight draw and sometimes I'd hit it straight. In like 4 trips practicing I've now got a high fade consistently. I haven't hit a hook in 200+ swings...knocks on wood
did they adjust the headweight? +2 wraps with these grips will lower swingweight 1-2 pts

I think for putting the only thing you need to work on is tempo and the length of your stroke back and through. Your reads and speed are excellent.
I get what Garret means about holing puts when it’s breaks more
It is easier to commit to putts when you are sure of the break rather than second guessing the read
I think the plus4 is about 2 grams heavier than normal grips and with another 2 layers of tape adds another 3 grams or so making your grip end another 5 grams heavier for all your clubs. Did you redo all the swing weights of your clubs? Otherwise every club will have a different swing weight which can really throw you off your rythym in the swing.
Ever thought about getting a thicker grip for your putter? Switched to a SuperStroke Fatso 5.0 and it feels great!

Your swing looks a lot more under control with the new grips. You will have to use a slightly stronger grip. My guess is your dispersion will get narrower.

i use the same set up but, my arthritic right hand won't close on a std grip. so, this makes the grip fit my hand/fingers which gives me more control and a distance boost

Before the lesson get a putter fit you have a consistent right miss so your face balanced putter needs to be a slight arc to help pull you straight
