Great video. I'm at 74,000 miles; I'm sure this is in my future... 🙄
Great video as always Jeff! Was wondering if you will ever do some content on the camshaft actuator bolts? I heard some back out prematurely. It may be rare but the risks are pretty high.
I don't plan to pull the engine apart as it's 100% and I used it for other testing. If I had a donated wreck engine, like the PDK transmission, I'd definitely do it.
I was actually planning on doing it in a few months, was wondering if you had any thoughts on which replacement bolts to buy, the Volvo parts seem like the consensus for the best style bolts but you have to cut them to length
@@tandimay57 Your comments are the first time I've heard of this. Which bolts are you referring to? Is it as per this Rennlist thread? rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-gt3-forum/1186710-cam-actuator-screw-inspection-re-torque.html
@@jeffrichardsoncardiy I plan on using this video to replace cam bolts on Sunday with a friend that will be doing it for the 3rd or 4th time. I can try to take photos and video but will be focused on getting it done in a single day on a friend's lift. Let me know if you would want details.
@@KevinGre Would really like to see as much as you can provide. Some photos of what it all looks like and some comments about the difficulties would be very useful. Much appreciated. Pass through the channel email address jjrichar12@gmail.com if that's easiest.
How many hours did u spend on replacing both seals? Just need a gauge.
It's probably a day's work.
@@jeffrichardsoncardiyThank u!
Will this be any different on the S vs base?
No. All the same parts.
