The screaming “I don’t need anyone” is really beautiful. It’s like she’s screaming it to herself over and over to convince herself that she’s not vulnerable and very strong. I do the same thing in my head when I feel like I’m about to break down, I love it so much, it makes me feel like I’m not the only one who’s trying so hard to not need anyone, because people just let you down.

Mahan Madani i get what u mean but i think it’s an important element to add to this song, it represents the different voices in her head: the honest one and the one that’s trying to pretend everything is good hoping it will become that way

I'd be honored if some Halsey fans who appreciate 80s/90s classics would take a listen to my acoustic piano & vocal performances of PURPLE RAIN by Prince and PRAYING FOR TIME by George Michael on my YT channel in tribute to 2 of the greatest vocalist-songwriters in music history. Live acoustic with no autotune. Thanks and RESPECT to the legends of both yesterday & today.
Contemporary dance is so under-rated. I love that Halsey incorporates so much of it in the music she does. Not to knock any of the more popular dance styles, but with rheumatoid arthritis, I can't even hope to get close to a lot of current artists' dances. But Halsey's are so free flowing and more about the emotion that it's nice to have something I can try to recreate.
"Because in my world, I'm constantly, constantly having a breakthrough Or a breakdown Or a blackout" Mania Depression That feeling of empty and nothing She really said it in the best way possible. I just completely adore her.
Theory: the name of the song is referring to Clementine the character from “Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind” since her description is pretty close to that characters personality
From what I remember, the font of Clementine in the beginning of the video is also similar to the font of the title "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" in the movie poster.
dear Halsey, I just lost my son's father. when i first starting to listen to you, we'd listen to your music together. We weren't together but both big fans. He passed away on July 22nd this year. this song is honest to god such a "nail on the head" song for me right now. I'm in college. I'm worried about the well being of me and my 6-year-old son... you help me to know I'm not alone. You're a beautiful poet. thank you for your contribution to this generation's music. you're going to be classic for future generations.
I can relate of a close scale, I constantly say to myself that I don't need anyone and act that way around others, acting like I don't need their support. But when that support leaves me I find myself crying "I just need everyone and then some..."
I've always felt there's something deeply special about this song, ever since i first listened to it. I'm working my way through Manic now and seeing the way it fits into the puzzle it feels even more right. I have tears in my eyes and a catch in my heart that tells me this is going to be special. Thank you Ashley. This is you.
This was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard and seen. It's so powerful yet so peaceful. It's amazing to see that Halsey has finally made peace with her demons and is happy.
This is so calm. Like HFK was so angry, loud & felt like screaming from the top of a cliff. This, on the other hand, is so smooth and pure. It feels like sitting on that same cliff but this time, instead of screaming, you're breathing the fresh air and feeling each and every breath you take.

Halsey could be compliment, like: you're so halsey today.
We should make that a compliment.
nd she's so pretty
I love this idea
Wagner Antides The correct grammar would be: She is a talented painter.
Nebula Sky I'm sorry, I'm not an English language practitioner. Thanks for the correction!
The part from 0:00 to 3:55 is great❤️❤️
The worst part is when it ends:(♡
Miku Nakano Yep!
this song is absolutely beautiful. reminds me of BADLANDS (a little). the production is more minimalistic. I make music too btw, give me a chance if u want. I won't disappoint
That's my favorite part 🍊
Ashley said '' I left my daydreams at the gate '' exactly where her imaginary girlfriend disappeared in the GRAVEYARD mv, where she goes away by the entrance of here. I mean...WOW.
Harsshika Chillakuru oooh I like that!
She’s becoming more and more artistic everyday and I live for it😍😍😍😍
I'd be honored if some Halsey fans who appreciate 80s/90s classics would take a listen to my acoustic piano & vocal performances of PURPLE RAIN by Prince and PRAYING FOR TIME by George Michael on my YT channel in tribute to 2 of the greatest vocalist-songwriters in music history. Live acoustic with no autotune. Thanks and RESPECT to the legends of both yesterday & today.
She is eversince. Her Badlands is pure art
p m she’s always been this way she’s just gifting us with it in larger doses now. She’s in that place now🤗😍🙌🏾
I think we can all agree Halsey is only been releasing masterpieces!
Indeed
True
Contemporary dance is so under-rated. I love that Halsey incorporates so much of it in the music she does. Not to knock any of the more popular dance styles, but with rheumatoid arthritis, I can't even hope to get close to a lot of current artists' dances. But Halsey's are so free flowing and more about the emotion that it's nice to have something I can try to recreate.
clementine is that children's book character that is so unique that people often think that she's living in her own universe. this is the universe
watch eternal sunshine of a spotless mind.
ticketing staff: wanna book the whole oceanarium?
halsey: yes.
I feel like it should say Ashley cause thats who this was not Halsey ya know
*Ticketing staff: How many tickets would you like?
Halsey: Yes.
"In my world I'm constantly having a breakthrough, or a breakdown or a blackout."
I get real eternal sunshine of the spotless mind vibessss
Especially with a name like clementine
That's what it's name after and in the song Ashley, she has an audio of Clemtine at the end.
@@scaledandicy30 i noticed once i listened to the whole album 😂😂
@@alexjessrasome ah yes. I love it. I'm a new Halsey fan and this made me like her even more !
wink wink nudge nudge
this is also sampled from the movie’s ost!!!

"Performed by Ashley"
Who cried with me
I'm so happy! She said this album is going to be more personal and more from "Ashley" instead of Halsey all the time. This just confirms it💙💛
As someone who's loved her since she did covers on RUclips I was stoked af when I saw Ashley.
amber loves to cry for her idols, bye I cried of joy 😭😭😭🥰🥰🥰
Who's Ashley and why is this person important? (I really dont know)
j kh it’s halseys name.
"Because in my world, I'm constantly, constantly having a breakthrough
Or a breakdown
Or a blackout"
Mania
Depression
That feeling of empty and nothing
She really said it in the best way possible. I just completely adore her.
Theory: the name of the song is referring to Clementine the character from “Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind” since her description is pretty close to that characters personality
agreed
From what I remember, the font of Clementine in the beginning of the video is also similar to the font of the title "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" in the movie poster.
that's RM fav movie
She also mentioned it's her favorite movie so
antonija p94 can you like stop thinking everything is rm/bts related
dear Halsey,
I just lost my son's father. when i first starting to listen to you, we'd listen to your music together. We weren't together but both big fans. He passed away on July 22nd this year. this song is honest to god such a "nail on the head" song for me right now. I'm in college. I'm worried about the well being of me and my 6-year-old son... you help me to know I'm not alone. You're a beautiful poet. thank you for your contribution to this generation's music. you're going to be classic for future generations.
i hope everyting will change for the better in the future, be strong
All will be well.
I'm praying for you and your son ;) 💜
sending prayers your way

She wrote this song in a 30 mins break she had while recording Without me.
She is pure art. ❤️
How do you know that, are you part of the making of her song videos
Source?
U wrote this even on graveyard etf
where did you hear this?
Queen👸
I think halsey is a true definition of present day generation girl with so many problems but she never loses hope ♥
AS AN ARTIST
I REALLY DO LOVE HALSEY's WORK
EVERYTHING'S JUST PURE ART
I FEEL SO BLESSED 😍😭
YAS!! Btw your ART SOO BEAUTIFUL!!!
I subscribed uwuu
And today is her birthday
I love the visuals.I'm an artist myself.
Katleen Dias I thought Halsey was a Pisces.
@@wonderstories1469 Omg thank you ❤
Me to my parents: I don't need anyone.
Me to myself: I just need everyone and then some.
Same 💜
I Hope that you found someone
So do I
@@betxengi5388 Thank you ;D
I can relate of a close scale, I constantly say to myself that I don't need anyone and act that way around others, acting like I don't need their support. But when that support leaves me I find myself crying "I just need everyone and then some..."
This is so calming and aesthetically pleasing. STAN HALSEY; A talented Queen.
❤❤❤
I've always felt there's something deeply special about this song, ever since i first listened to it. I'm working my way through Manic now and seeing the way it fits into the puzzle it feels even more right. I have tears in my eyes and a catch in my heart that tells me this is going to be special. Thank you Ashley. This is you.
This was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard and seen. It's so powerful yet so peaceful. It's amazing to see that Halsey has finally made peace with her demons and is happy.
Oh, sure, when Halsey and her brother do an interpretive dance in an aquarium, it's "art," but when I do it, I get on the FBI watch list.
Bring Me More Booze are u Halsey?
haha can't stop laughing cuz it's so like me
honestly, I can't dance so I'm with u. Lol I make music too btw, give me a chance if u want. I won't disappoint
@@jnthnofficial holy shit you're actually really good
@@jnthnofficial You're actually sooo good
This is so calm. Like HFK was so angry, loud & felt like screaming from the top of a cliff.
This, on the other hand, is so smooth and pure. It feels like sitting on that same cliff but this time, instead of screaming, you're breathing the fresh air and feeling each and every breath you take.
I love how she did this with her brother rather than hiring someone. You can tell they have a special bond ☺️
Colors: everything is blue
Clementine: i’d like to tell you that my sky’s not blue
wow sis
Also, from purple and lilac sky to violent rain.
What an evolution
Clementine: "And the 808 beat sends your heart to your feet"
Tokyo Narita: "All these 808's and heartbeats banging your chest''
its interesting, especially since blue (is that the name of the song?) is about matty healy (alleged) and this video seems inspired by him as well
It’s not that deep lol.....(maybe for an overrated pop star)
songs about to make me fucking cry
I feel like my whole existence can be describe as “I don’t need anyone, I just need everyone and then some”
Can you please explain to me what does it mean ??
@@pizzzapizzza2860 it's the feeling that you want everyone to fuck off but really you just want everyone to be around 'you' and just feel real for the first time in your life

I was a Halsey fan from the first time I heard "New Americana". When I saw her perform Without Me on the 2019 Billboard Music Awards and saw her doing interpretative dance for the first time, I knew she was not just a singer, but an artist in every sense of the word.
this sound, the piano, makes me cry and i wanna sleep for her voice.
Hi ARMY
The man in the mv is her younger brother, Sevian Frangipane. Best siblings duo!!
Really?
Blue Frost yes, it’s at 0:07 you can see ‘performed by Ashley and Sevian Frangipane’
Wow.
Aww cute!
Halsey's background voice that is something like happy screaming makes me so happy and feel so childish in a good way and
-i don't complain.
Halsey: “In my world I’m 7 feet tall”
Also Halsey: “You’d carry me”
R.I.P persons back
💀
He is her brother
She is talking to herself.
Lmao why is this hilarious😂😂
seeing her grow as an artist makes me feel like a proud mom. can’t wait for the album!! 💙
The innocence of love she once had has shattered, but she keeps the idea of “love” in her mind. 🖤
That's how it should be ❣️
Too relatable.
Thank you Halsey for giving Ashley a voice to be heard💜
My most favorite part from this song are the background vocals.... THEY ARE JUST SOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!
I can honestly say this is one of the most beautiful songs she's ever put out.
I love all her songs and absolutely love this one as well. She has no bad songs. 💟
I discovered this for the album, is amazing.
“im constantly having a breakthrough or a breakdown or a blackout.” i.love.halsey.

Listening to this song after Ashley brings it a whole other meaning! Like wow, it's Clementine from Eternal Sunshine Of A Spotless Mind!
"Wish I could see what it's like to be the blood in my veins" opened up a side of my brain i didn't know existed
i feel u, it happened to me too

Mariela Zavala I’m literally crying over this
Her videos where she dances are my favorite...shes such a sensitive soul...this way we see that side. Its wonderful and rare today
halsey looks like a goddess with that curly hair
Ya😍😍 and her outfits
It's actually her natural hair; she's biracial.
