It's the way they intelligently switched colours. "Luna" which was Halsey's name, is another name for the moon. So when we hear "Luna", we think of the colour white. "Rosa" on the other hand, stands for a rose, most of times, when we hear the word rose, we think of the colour red. But Rosa (Lauren) wears white.

An LGBT video does not have to show two girls or guys making out or having sex for it to be LGBT. I like that this video portrays the fights that take place in relationships as that is ultimately what the song in about.
Also, I am so glad that this video has been released so I no longer have to see fifth harmony fans sending constant tweets to Halsey to release the Strangers video.

First Last This music video is part of a larger story depicting the love between Solis and Luna, a m/f couple. It would be weird if all of the other videos were a part of this story and this one just showed lesbian smut, and it would be even weirder considering the lyrics describe a break-up. Halsey isn't one to straight-wash her videos but if you want to see stuff like that, go and watch the Ghost video

I mean... if it wasn't for the lyrics of the song, I would in no way think that this was about the (ex)relationship between Luna and Rosa. Especially with all the cut scenes to Solis. I've read what Halsey wrote on Twitter explaining it all, but I just feel she could have added some flashback scenes of Luna and Rosa's rocky relationship (especially showing how unstable and toxic the relationship was, so we had an understanding that this was it ending) instead of all the Sketchers and Royal Elite Vodka promotional advertising.... I didn't expect any romantic 'kissing' scenes, just a bit more of a representation of the previous relationship. It's still a cute concept don't get me wrong and I still adore Halsey.

Irene DiLaurentis so luna is romeo (played by halsey) and romeo had girlfriend before juliet (solis, played by man in white). Her name is rosa (played by lauren). That is what Shakespeare wrote. They had a lot of fights and rosa was very distant. You can see how lauren beats the hell out of halsey. Rosa hurt romeo very much. But at the end halsey won because romeo got over rosa and fell in love with romeo. I hoped I explaned it well

This is how you do a song and a video about bisexuality. You do not have to say "sometimes I just wanna kiss girls". Directly you make a song talking about a good or a bad relationship you had with a person of the same sex.
And as Halsey said "I just wanted the metaphor to apply to any kind of relationship. It was a hard situation. The song is obviously my effort towards greater representation but I didn’t want to make the clickbait sexy vid everyone wanted, cause it does no justice to the narrative of the song I wrote"
Halsey, you already represent bisexuality, and in a normalized and accepted way. For me you are the bisexual icon that we deserve along with Lauren. Unlike others, you do not sell us music that tries to be progressive to gain followers that are part of collectives, you are the progressive music that this world deserves and you know how to do it well. Anika Udayakumar In my opinion the lyrics of that song are full of bisexual and lesbian stereotypes that feed the beliefs on which biphobia and homophobia are based, and the video is very badly focused to represent the sexualization between two women because it's noted that it's based on the lesbian fantasy that many heterosexual men have. I just do not agree that many people take that song as a bisexual anthem, I think it does more harm than good. But it's my opinion, I have no problem if you like that song, and I like Rita as a singer.

You people need to think if you are here only for seeing gay content, or you are Halsey's fan who, at least, tries to understand hfk concept. This is my view.
First of all, the point of the album was to create a twisted storyline. Halsey in one of her interviews said 'I switched the characters, so in my story, i am Romeo.' Which means that Luna is Romeo, and Solis is Juliet.
Second, a few days ago, there was a post by Halsey with description 'See how the story began.' which leads us here, to Strangers MV. This is the beginning of the story.
Third, if you've ever read real Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare, than you probably know about a character, named Rosaline, first big love of Romeo. However she never loved him back. He was so desperate for her, so his friend urges him to sneak into a Capulet gathering where he can see Rosaline and other beautiful women. There, actually, he meets Juliet.
In this video, Lauren plays Rosa (Rosaline). So this fight symbolizes how that relationship between them, and Luna's feelings are hurting her, because Rosa doesn't love her back.
"I remember what you told me. Said that we are not lovers, we are just strangers, with the same damn hunger, to be touched, to be loved, to feel anything at all" - this words actually reflect Rosa's rejection for Luna's love.
Luna (Romeo) is losing the fight, until she sees Solis (Juliet). Than her feelings suddenly change: "Did my heart love till now?" - are words written by Shakespeare. Then Luna (Romeo) fought harder, and she wins. She finally released herself from that toxic love she had for Rosa, realizing that she has to love herself more than she loves anyone else.
In the end of this video, she give Solis a necklace of Aureum house, and he gives her his necklace from Angelous house. They became two star crossed lovers.
The rest of the story is in Now or never, Sorry, Bad at love, Alone.
