What a fantastic history tour, Thank you. I lived in Gosberton from birth and can relate to a lot of this. Sid Stafford used to cut my hair. Arty East was next door. Harold Hare from the garage I knew well. I think he also had a garage on the road to the Risegate after Belchmire Lane. I have spent many happy hours in the Public Hall both with school and afterwards. Frank Butwrights, and the Bell pub were great, As was Windsors hardware store where I believe my primary school teacher worked. I only knew her as Mrs. Windsor of course. I went to Sunday School down Salem Street and my Sister got married there as well as my Mothers Funeral was conducted. I lived down Highbridge Lane, just on the Boston road and knew Joseph and Nance Fairbanks who had the bungalow built halfway down the lane. My Sister Jane and I used to play in the foundations of the bungalow when it was being built. I left the village in 1979 when I joined the RAF but still love the occasional visit to remember.
