Thank you Aldo. I heard this performed on the radio a couple of weeks ago and loved it. Now I find you’re playing it here and I can play along. You made my day 🙏😊

While I've heard Greensleeves many times before, I've never heard "Greensleeves to a Ground". Sounds much the same, but has more "substance" to it in my opinion. I should try this on my tenor at some point soon. 🎶
for me too this greensleeves it is similar but not the same of the melody that we all sing and play, the bass too is a little different, not so much but a little
Very nice. Plays with great ease and understanding of the melody. Very good. I've been playing this piece of music for many years, for it is calm, historic yet still popula. However I've never seen so many variations on the melody. Could you possibly share the sheet music in more "priter-friendly" format? I'd love to add it to my collection :)
Excellent performance, thank you! Would it be possible to get the recording of the guitar only? I´d love to have it so that I can play at home, thanks again :)
Nice pice of melody. I have recently bought an alto recorder and hope that in a few years I can play Bach's Toccate and fuge in d minor. I have bought Aldo Bolvas "Virtuoso Pieces for Alto Recorder". Of course I have to start at an other place and "Greensleves to a ground" is very nice. One question though: In the first line you play the note E. How do you do that? The lowest I can play is a F.
@@unagondolaunremo I have a question for you. On another of your videos, you play a high E, third one above middle C. Do you know where I can find the fingering for that? That's what I find - high C is reliable, but high D I have to blow pretty hard, and it sometimes "misses", although not as often as it used to...

What's the difference between greensleves and greensleves to a ground?
greensleves is a renaissance song, greensleves to a ground is one version of this song published in 1706

I'm playing a tenor recorder, not an alto recorder, and with this instrument the lower note is a C so i can play this E
