Well, in that parallel universe, I would hope that you and miss Josey would guide me around Africa... I would thoroughly enjoy it. Doing it now virtually...
Miss Josey, So proud of you to bring this side of life to the front of the world. You are so original and have a warm heart that I hope kind people of your government see and support your work and provide you for tools so you can be a voice for needed tribe of your country. I see a beautiful human being is growing .....

Hellooooo josay,, what a brilliant video, absolutely awesome content of the batwa people so interesting,,,,,, I'm learning loads from your videos me been from Scotland ,,my wife was born in Kampala,, the last time we were all over including our 5 children was 2016 some day we will return (covid restrictions) ,, keep your videos coming love from Scotland
What a wonderful video! Please remember that a lot of us westerners actually support Africans and that we wish you all the best! We are not all (neo-)colonialists or racists, far from it, and your videos enable us to connect to you. Keep up the good work!
Batwa are normal people who live normal lives. Their lives are different from yours but they still live normally. Your life is only different to theirs
Jam in isreari now jam watching you, that is my place of born, but government delayed to give us turmac road, even that mbwindi forest it has many tourists, bse Mt gorela,s jam watching you tell them to dance for you, uganda is good tell them bakuterere enanga yaruyoko
The Batwa and other wildlife lived in co-existance inti the forest. Secondly, the government was so much interest in the game accruals sideling the actual walfar of this "forest tribe". To me, the biggest portion of funds raised from wildlife tracking should be reinvested into the Batwa community in general.
Beautiful place, beautiful family, terrible video. We watched you film them sitting for almost 14 minutes of 18 minutes. You didn't ask them anything, we didn't see how they cook, clean or how they survive off the land in the jungle. A photo would've been fine.
Okay the girl's face is in the way all the time this is more of a selfie hike my goodness I thought she was kind of cute in the beginning but that quickly ended after 15 minutes of straight camera on her face, oh well well
Let the Batwa live in peace on the forest. When you are in a supportive community and have food, shelter, and the peace and tranquility of the forest, you are not poor.
Lovely video. We must do more to respect Indigenous peoples of Africa. Govt policy is important to preserve them, hope Ugandan Govt recognize it more.I am from Zimbabwe myself and we still have about 1600 Aboriginal San people left. Our Govt recognizes their language, culture and way of life so we don't lose them .When I visit Zimbabwe I plan to go to Plum tree and visit their community. They still live away from rest of the population so to preserve their way of life. They don't need all the stress, noise and pollution.
Many thanks Josey for highlighting such a stunning rainforest. I imagine there are still a number of plant species and small invertebrates yet to be catalogued by biologists. As a boy I recall seeing the words impenetrable rainforest on a map and being fascinated. I hope the people there get the respect and space that they deserve from the outside world. Best regards from London, England.
Growing up in East Africa my grandfather was a polygamist with very young wives so I wasn't surprised to see the 18:year old lady with 5 kids married to a much older man. Until I came to the Diaspora I didn't know it was considered child abuse.
You can not use the standards in the Western world to judge societies in Third world countries, each society set up their own standards of what is considered normal in their daily lives.
While polygamy for the most part is not ideal, much of these social structures are determined by socio-economic factors. For a tribe to organize, provide, thrive or simply to survive will be shaped by what level of technology is available to them, what kinds of access to natural resources within their habitat and whatever Influence of outsiders whether it be peaceful or one of conflict this also plays a role in shaping social attitudes and preserving them.
Thanks Josey for this video. I wasn’t able to visit this tribe when I was in Uganda. Will you visit the gorillas in your next video ? Visiting them was one of the best days in my life … Keep on going with your good work.
Ooomg thats a steep hill, and up there is all forest. That tribe lives up there. They seem happy with their lives, wooooow, interesting way of life. Very very interesting.
I watch all your content but rarely comment. I felt I had to say thank you so much for showing us all that you do. The dancing scene near the end was simply beautiful. You've captured something very special there. Soul. Again thank you 😉

I read Colin Turnbull's "The Forest People" written in the 1950s about these people...he lived amongst them for about 10 years....it's sad that they are pressured to relocate....during WWII in Europe they were used as tunnel scouts but they found their lifespan is very short after being removed from the forest canopy.....I hope they are allowed to stay and their tribe survives modern African development.....great vidow Miss Josey!
Baaka, babongo and other pygmy groups live in the Congo basin up to Cameroon! They are actually more homogenized than those we, East-africans call abatwa, who are mixed. In fact in Rwanda they make distinction between abatwa(pygmoid or mixed) and impunyu( properly indigenous before the invading bantus). They are likely to go extinct in Zambia soon or absorbed. Same in Malawi where I think they have vanished. I think they used to be found all over Southern Africa. There they have myths about small people called abhatwa and some tribes call khoisan groups abhatwa. There was even a kingdom called Butua although it could be a coincidence!?
Hi miss Josey! Was that you playing guitar and singing at the end? We should jam one day, if you ever make it to San Francisco, California! Haha! Peace. 🐰🌹🇺🇲💙🎸🎶✌️

Awesome video Josey…. 😁
I was privileged to visit the Batwa in Kisoro.
What is your definition of "normal community"? Did your government provide them basic amenities like Housing, Water, Electricity, Education and Job?
We love Miss Josey!!
The dancing at the end was so wholesome.
This is probably your best video yet!

Hi❤❤💐🌹Nice
Have you ever encountered the lost Fakarwee tribe? They can sometimes be heard in the deep forest chanting "We're The Fakarwee", "We're The Fakarwee"
why did you cut off their music at the end. when the guitar started playing
😍 😍 🔥
😁😁😅 Banange you are a true Ugandan! your English pronunciation is so thing else 😅
At least some where in this world innocent people have a chance to live as they like to.
No high rise buildings, concrete, and cars polluting the environment.

Awesome!
I do too, but of course i want ma tech along with it.
16:26 - looks like a movie scene, where the beautiful main character is dancing and enjoying herself.
I totally fell in love
agreed, it's beautiful
Growing up in East Africa my grandfather was a polygamist with very young wives so I wasn't surprised to see the 18:year old lady with 5 kids married to a much older man. Until I came to the Diaspora I didn't know it was considered child abuse.
The woman is actually 40 years and the husband doesn't know his real age, he estimated 60 which could be more or less.
she lied to her hehe, but i understand what your saying
If a woman marries at eighteen that's not child abuse!
