Not to be rude, I liked your review but u think your mistaken the glasses are 130 inches and only are 201 when you use ar space. I own the glasses since they launched and always wanted to use the 201 Inch more but never had the ability to due to it being locked for the AR space. 130inches is a lot still but that's the size you will use when plugging into your phone, console e.t.c unless there was a recent update with a feature like that to use it at any screen size. Then, my apologies since I am unaware
@@juriaanoussoren It's the only thing I (and all my co-workers) use. But yeah, it sucks that only the flagships support it well... But it saves you sometimes
Got mine at the end of last year, love them. I pair them with Samsung Dex on my S22 Ultra and everything works like a charm. You can also add prescription lenses to the glasses. I would suggest this to everyone.
Well finally tech is catching up to what we think we want... far out! This is exactly what i have wanted since i was a kid, and at 67, my inner child is blown away! Thanks again Thao for your immersive reviews! Been watching you for years; may your family and yourself be well. Peace&Blessings
The 201 inch measurement is for the space covered in AR mode, in dex your screen simulates the size of a 130 inch screen. Which is already freaking massive. This is probably the single best and most useful implementation of VR/AR tech in the entire industry. As a working adult this thing is way more useful than something stupid like the Quest 2. I've been working doing spreadsheets, work documents, and even VIDEO CALLS, while wearing these things for the last two weeks. They are one of the most useful purchases I have ever made.
This is like Unbox Therapy before I stopped watching. I started watching this channel bc I heard of it from UT. I watch Thao and haven't looked back at UT.
Thao it's 100% right! I bought these about 6 months ago and I love them! But they will drain your battery pretty quick if you're watching a whole movie. I have a fold four and it kills it in about 2 and 1/2 hours. So just beware. It should do a lot better on the s23! It's very useful if you need three monitors. Great review Thao!😎 PS. I also got mine from Amazon it's easy return if you don't like it.
Hey there! We're glad to hear that you're loving the glasses, thanks for the feedback regarding battery life. It's something that we're keen to work in further in the future!
I am thinking about buying the Nreal Air. One of my thoughts for the battery usage issue is to buy a portable wireless charger such as the Anker PowerCore III 10K Wireless Portable Charger with Qi-. I would watch a movie while the phone continues to charge. Do you know if this would work as a solution.
It's a little scary to think about where we're headed-Phones have already become blinders to the world around us. Combined with developments in graphics and AI, it's insane to think we are on the edge of a matrix-like existence (or at least, Wall•e). Awesome review, Thao! Always super excited to see one pop up.
Thanks for the tip on the volume control which I never knew until now! I've had mine for a couple of months now and you're right they're awesome with Dex. I also got the Nreal adaptor for all of my gaming needs. One thing that you might want to pick up is a Rokid Air hub so that you could charge super fast while using your phone. Mine is finally coming next week and I believe I should be able to play the switch without any sort of dock.
I have been dying to see you cover these. I am so glad this collaboration happened. This It's exactly what I plan on doing and I know nobody but you could cover this combination with Justice.
Thanks for actually showing what it looks like through the glasses. Most other videos just talk about it. I remember the first video glasses I'd heard about was in the late 90s to early 2000s. People weren't ready for it yet because no one had smart phones and we weren't obsessed with using them. More than 20 years later it seems the climate is right for something like this and the technology has obviously improved since then. I'd still feel stupid wearing this in public but with a little more miniaturization and improvements in AR tech I could imagine it being popular. For now it's still a niche product.
Awesome thanks for reviewing this! I was just talking about it and remembered I commented on the last dex dock video, then I saw this video pop up. Great review!
I have this and use it a lot for movies, games, and work. Especially, when I want to watch when lying down. Yes, this is great with Dex. However, it is not 201" screen. Its more like 130" which is still big. I have a projector setup at home and tested the size from 8-10 feet distance. If you want to charge your phone while using Nreal, buy Nubia RedMagic Adapter. Excited that Nreal plans to provide windows app so you can see 3 monitors on this thing. This thing is bright even without the cover.
Just got my Nreal air to couple with my Galaxy Fold 4 so that I don't have to bring my heavy laptop when going on trips :) (paired with bluetooth keyboard + mouse) Also got the RedMagic adapter so that my fold can charge while I'm using the Nreal Airs!
Not to be rude, I liked your review like always, but I think you're mistaken about the screen. The glasses are 130 inches and only are 201 when you use ar space. I own the glasses since they launched and always wanted to use the 201 Inch more but never had the ability to due to it being locked for the AR space. 130 inches is a lot still, but that's the size you will use when plugging into your phone, console, etc
Great video THX The only downside is using cable instead wifi or Bluetooth for connecting to more equipment and not being that close to it, but I´ll try that any day and son too
Looking forward when this tech matures more. Having the glasses as 3 or more monitors and if the price is right is very nice. Unless you have to be on a video call 😅
I got mine and use a j5create jcd401 usb hub so I can use a battery bank with it. I don't care for the nebula app though. There isn't much support for it here in the states. Dex on the other hand is awesome with it.
This all sounds and looks too good to be real 🔥 But How well do you think the Nreal Air will be compatible with Xiaomi Smartphones? Xiaomi mi 11 Ultra to be exact
whats the phone battery life with this? any difference to regular usage? heat? weight? how long could you stand using it? looks cool , but i remember the samsung vr glasses lost its luster after a while
this review does not mention that nReal recommends using these for only 40min at a time max. After that you have to take a break unless you want eye strain, eye problems, headaches, etc. It's just not a good product for your health.
That's the information I'm looking for. Well, the same is true for the tradicional monitors. You've to take a rest and look away to keep your eyes safe.
OK. I think I need to get these for my phone based, DEX, portable computing needs. But I have 3 questions I wonder if could be answered before I purchase. 1) If used without the black out screen, can you easily see around the projected AR screen to see a physical bluetooth keyboard so you can see the keys you are typing on? 2) I expect Samsung's upcoming AR glasses will be an even better option to pair with their phones. If decided later to upgrade to that, I wonder if I could somehow send the signal from the phone to pair with both sets of glasses. Then it would be worth keeping these so I could watch the same movie with a friend, each wearing a separate pair of glasses. 3) Where can I find more detailed info on the prescription lens inserts. I need reading glasses to vie a phone or computer screen, so I expect I will need to figure out how to do this. Or, is there an option to tweak the focus of the glasses display to match my eyesight. I could do this on my old samsung gear vr with a focus dial.
THanks MUCH for sharing! I may have to order 2 for Daughters XMas :) Fortuante that I rasied 2 Geeky one :) ALL THE BEST and Cheers from Left Coast! :)
My wife wanted a laptop to have have her recipes up out on the counter as she cooks.. can you see well enough to do something while you have a web browser up?

@MarioPL It does drain faster but not too bad I would recommend getting the red magic dongle from Newegg which let's you charge and use the NReal at the same time.
Hi Mike. Although there is no Navigation AR app in our Nebula, you can use the 2D Navigation app and get the image under the mirror screen mode of the glass.
I really enjoy mine for flying but my problem is having the prescription lenses for me since I wear glasses. I've seen online that a lot of people are having trouble finding glasses companies to make lenses that small for the Nreal. I wear my normal glasses then put the Nreal on top when I use them for now until I can find someone to make me small prescription lenses.
HOw come when i click on AR Space and Air Casting on the Nebulla App nothing actually happens apart from getting a message which states "switching mode".
