The little valve at 4:03 seems to be the cause of a lot of the hydraulic problems. It seems to stick through lack of use (and moisture) and needs gently working free to get the hydraulics functioning properly. Unfortunately it is very difficult to get to with a cab, but is just about possible for non Q-cab tractors. You probably have to have done one before and have a good imagination ! I think it is a 7/16" (11mm) spanner size, two nuts locked together. Great video.

Please buy some TFR, get it sprayed down in it whilst it’s dry, in all the nucks And crannys and give it a really tougher jet wash, that chassis looks like it will come up a treat at the back

Hi i'm in the middle of restoring a Db 990 selectomatic, could you please tell me how do you remove the bolts at the top of the lift links, I've got the nuts loose but the bolts appear to solid in the radius lift arms and I really don't want to start hitting things with hammers just yet. Are these kept in with a mating taper in the radius arm? many thanks

@@dirt_and_diesel Can you wire that switch directly to the engine shut-off, to remove the human factor entirely? same for overheat? Also, might the valves have been freed up with detergent oil, repeated work, and a few hot-cold cycles, without needing to disassemble?
