You would not believe how many videos on this subject i have watched. THIS is by FAR the Best instructional blow by blow video i have come across. THANK YOU sir you are a true Tradesperson
I am a remodeling contractor and have done lots of drywall finishing using a hawk and trowel as well as a pan and knife but this showed me tips I had not seen before. Thanks for a very well-done video.
I have my first 2 American Clay projects coming up. I am a new small painting company but found out about American Clay and offered it to a call back client. She already knew about it and was calling to know if I knew how :)
Thanks for sharing. I'm skim coating my walls to get rid of texture, but nearly all the info here helps, especially the corner trick and the "direct load" trick for newbies. I wish I had seen this last week. I could have saved money and a lot of frustration.
i don't quite understand the materials your using, i know your in the US but UK we use multi finish which is amazing as my trade is plastering and i have my own business. the materials reminds me of sand and cement
Allow the trowel to 'roll' in the hand, instead of gripping the life out of it. Professional plaster over 40yrs and the first thing I was taught was how to roll the trowel, this stops fatigue and arthritis in the later years :/
I hate this product so much. It’s absolute torture. I need a very simple step-by-step guide and the information is piecemeal all over the place. The general contractors who deal with this material are not in my area anymore and so I’m left to deal with repairing walls myself. I hate it. it’s physically killing me. I’ve made many calls to the company and they are very nice. But I just need materials and guides that are very simple. I have too many questions and I’m not sure if I’m doing this right and it’s just torturing me. If I could go back in time I would’ve never had it put up in the first place
sorry mate... nice guide but show me the end with wall-fixed LED light on it.. no way that will look ok. in EU(PL) we call that basement-finish-standart. saME goes for UK's MF show me a ceiling with LED covers lighting it up. i do not say its not doable, but you need M.Angelos skills to do that. LED light needs eveness of 1mm over 2meters to look even = MIRROR

Nice presentation, easy to understand and excellent tips. Great job.
Thanks! I was trying to get the mud smoothly on the corner. The sponge technique to even out the wall is a great tip too!

Fantastic tip with the yougurt lid, thanx!!
I've done a bunch of plaster work, that corner technique would have come in REAL handy years ago!!
Excellent video! I learned a lot watching this & your explanation was spot on. Very helpful to see it done by a Pro. Thanks for posting this.
Some good tips here, thanks. I'm the joiner who does a bit of plastering, which I enjoy, all the way over here in Scotland. David

Could you please show us that on video? Thank you in advance
How do you join a Durock shower wall to a plaster ceiling?
what stuff is that?
Is a multi finish one?
What is the color you are putting on the wall? It's so pretty.
Fuck off
What’s the difference between clay and plaster ?
and we use beads for corners not yogurt lids
good jop !
Why are you putting plaster in a barn?
Yeah, its easy when its fresh plasterboard.. Just spread it thin.. and again.. and your done
Where is the red

Terrible way to do a corner, use a bead.
For a straw bale house - using clay, sand and straw render, the use of metal (bead) is a poor one, as it oxidizes. A plastic bead would do, though
Horrible
