Lots of pros have complained about the wind on 12. Jack Nicklaus has a theory about pros who complain about how hard a major is. He always figured they were out of it already. But I've never heard a pro complain about wind on any other hole in golf. It's like 12 has wind machines or something.

Tiger never hits and hopes, it's not in his repertoire of thoughts...lol
I know now why my grandfather loved golf so much. I used to hate it. I found it just after Covid after I was gifted my grandfather's old clubs and having stumbled upon his handicap cards. That brought it to life for me. I worked hard day and night to learn the game quickly for 2.5 years and I'm nearly scratch. I'm in love with it and the whole aura of the game. One day, I would love to play here. It's a dream of mine.
Tiger: "I just hit the perfect shot into each hole, and I got the wrong gust, and I'm over-par... It changes the whole round, the whole tournament." Me: I thought the food shack was open, but it wasn't. I got tired on the back-nine. Changed the whole round, whole weekend.
Bogeybox Golf I agree with what you are saying, but I think his context was more about striking it perfectly, and not the perfect “shot.” The perfect shot would have accounted for the possibilities of the elements he described. You can strike it perfectly and still have a less than perfect outcome....
You all prolly dont care but does someone know of a method to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I love any assistance you can give me
@Ayaan Emerson Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
This man has such a detailed knowledge of his craft. Watching him over the years and listening to the media you come to believe that it's just "magic". That he just "wills the ball into the hole" or whatever snappy headline some sports writer can come up with. But listening to this and to his clinics, I think the man is simply precise, disciplined, and prepared to a degree most other pros can't even fathom.
man he seems so happy. it's great to see after the rough past 9 years. he's in an awesome place right now, so excited to see how he competes this year.
I think after shooting that 10 and then 4 birdies on the next 5 holes proves to me why Tiger is one of the greatest golfers of all time! His ability to forget the last hole played and keep playing his game shows the tenacity of a true champion!
definitely the most beautiful golf course, and one of the most cerebral in terms of finding out where to hit, not to hit, small undulations in certain parts, where never to hit, when to do what, flag positions totally changing gameplans, etc. love this place, wish i could play there
13th is the greatest hole at the masters cause it’s intended to signify the intentions of the golfer and create movement on the boards. It’s an easy birdie but only if you have a plan from the tee box
Mr. Jason R., I don't miss a single stroke of The Master's Tournament. It's my Spring Christmas for me. The only people who can come near me, are my two Pitts during Master's Week.
You know. I'm not saying I knew Tiger or saying I know Tiger now, but everyone saying they like the new him or who he is, I believe is too far. I feel he's always been this likable person he's just taken a different approach due to a appreciation for his health and sheer joy of being out there again. Good luck Tiger!!!
many congratulations on winning the 2019 masters you were excellent 4 rounds tiger and supporting u all the way from Scotland. The amposhere is electric there.
This new personable Tiger is much more likable. I got into golf during the height of the Tiger era, so many golf courses to play, lots of folks playing and continuing the game. But it seems over the past 5 years we've had many closings and there are only a third of the courses around. I can't say this was because of his lackluster play during those years, but it's hard not to correlate it.
Tiger's ressurangance with the win 9/23/18 is a huge BOOST for golf.. and if he remains healthy the golf revenue across the planet will pick back up. It's insane what Tiger Woods playing well, or even reasonably well with a win occasionally can do for an ENTIRE sport and the economic spokes around the country.. and world.
Most of us would often say that golf is a game you play differently everytime with varying results, things that work one day and not the next, it's hard at times and can really test your patients I suppose what I'm trying to say is that we'll never Master it and every year someone does at the Master's to win it because that's what it takes and every pro there knows it before they step on to the first tee. The players with the most green jackets are the ones who mastered it the most no doubt about it. This Year I think Rory will finally achieve this.
It's interesting because when you play Augusta National on a video game, Amen Corner is exactly how he described it!! The tee shot on 13 is no joke even on a game!!
Wish they would have talk about the whole course with Tiger. Still cool nonetheless. Augusta National is just gorgeous and the history and tradition there makes it the best course in the world! Hope to get there one day. Easily my favorite tournament
This is cool. And that's the thing about Augusta, not only are the greens and pin positions difficult - but you rarely have a flat lie on the fairway too.
this is one of the most exclusive courses in the world. to suggest someones playing this by watching this video is an absurdity. whats worse? false hope or no hope? those are the choices for most people when it comes to playing this course. thanks guys. fuckn brilliant
We have 2 long par 5’s on the back, at my home course, that also require careful placement of your layup shots. I love the layout of my course. It also requires 4 fades, and 4 draws, on 8 of the par 4’s, if you wanna hit driver. I’ve caught the course with soft conditions the last 2 rounds, and shot even par 72, and 1 under 71. That’s very hard to do in the summer. I love to hear these guys talk about hole strategy. Especially the GOAT.
Man does Tiger have the weight of the world on his shoulders. We are asking so much more of him just to play excellent golf. I hope he does well this weekend.
I just hope he is in the mix on Sunday 2019, maybe one of the last three groups. My dream scenery would be Tiger and Phil in last group At -12 Rory and DJ in second to last group At -10 With a combo of Day, Watson,Rose,Thomas,Spieth in the mix At -8
Front right. It looks inviting but as the 2019 Master’s shows, it can be quite lethal if off by just a little. TW usually plays center green on Sunday: the safe play, 2-putt par and get out.
LOL. I guess the idea is to dump some shots in the water on 12 and then give everyone a master (pun intended) level course on how to move on from a bad hole. Even when Tiger blows it at the corner he still proves why he's the GOAT. Amazing.
The kind of student-of-the-game that he is provides clues to why he has been so successful. Not many players are capable of paying the kind of attention that he does.
@Tony Everything is Iffy, We can plan all we want, but we aren't really in control of this thing. Masters in November - should be interesting if it actually happens.
I love these holes. 13 is my favorite hole in all of golf. But 15 and 16 decide the golf tournament. Both phenomenal holes in their own right, and closer to the finish line. The 2nd shot on 15 is huge, could be a 2 or 3 shot swing. And 16, 2able as it is, will punish a bad miss. Another 1 or 2 shot swing available. Amen corner is great, you can lose it there. But 15 and 16 are where green jackets are won.
To play amen corner with tiger you need a leash for tiger and shotgun for his fans with the wind creating liquid nitrogen gas guns. Luckily by amen corner most golfers would be five clear of tiger who's too busy chatting up a bull mastiff.
The trick is, play within yourself, don't worry what others do - - just try not to look stupid. That's the whole point of this game, I consider myself to be a fair golf player, pretty average in fact, I've parred a course (once), never had a hole in one, I look to go round a course in no more than 12 over par, the one thing that I try my hardest to do is simple - - keep the ball on the fairway (I mean, they cut the grass for a reason)
"I place my shots depending on hole locations" lol....I place mine hopefully on the correct fairway!!
Amen brother! Lol
NewWorldOrder 😂😂🤣 so true
ROFLMFAO! You're my Hero...
My ball decides where it wants to go.
NewWorldOrder I just hope I can find mine
I loved how he talked about the uncertainty on 12. Arguably the greatest to ever hold a club admits to more or less a hit and hope shot on that hole.
The beauty of the game.
Pretty much
Lots of pros have complained about the wind on 12.
Except on 12. Because of the.... wind machines.
Awesome to see Tiger doing more with the press, he seems to be in a great spot
Matthew Biancamano
Tiger is a PR master, he isn’t anything like this off camera.
@matthew agreed. Tiger is right up there with MJ in my eyes.
@@GG-lr3gv and how you know that?

Scratch in 2.5 years? How?? You must be practicing daily 10,000 hours type thing.
My fav dream has been to go to Augusta and I’m going there for dcp!!!
Youll never play here you have to get invited or play with a current member sorry bud

Or 3 extra to complete the foursome.
Nice of Tiger to take from his time to explain these things to us. Very very interesting perspectives.
This is the best video you have ever made. Make more like this. I want to hear pros, talk authentically and reverently about the game.
