long live brood war.
where epic games like this are possible
thank you /pol/ anon for the explanation
Flyings face when JD's units come out the gate....priceless :D
Ah I remember this funny but amazing game. Jaedong ftw!
i dont understand shit what the comentary is talking about.. but i aint even mad xD ! they talk with so much passion and its kinda funny !
Really good game. Well played by both.
sc1 is a beautiful and perfect game. the units and buildings are easy to recognize and keep track of. the floor they fight on is unimportant (such as a chessboard isnt really important, the pieces are)
This game is so EPIC !
Turn on audio transcript (CC-button) then activate Translate transcript and select English. It's a machine-based translation not correct at all, but it gives you a clue of whats going on.
it was so hilarious. even now i`m laughing so crazy :)))))
i think the song is 질풍가도 Zil Poong Ka Do (strong wind highway)
i had like this song 'time after time' going in my head, but with 'fail after fail' words.
from 16:48 to 24:50... lol
finally at 25:05.
And that face at 25:56...
you are a fool if you truly believe so
obviously it was a mistake that cost him 20 minutes of anxiety
in fact the sheer amazement he managed to hold off flying harasses with 50 food blocked with units unused (especially when flying was killing overlords left and right) for 10 minutes is quite show how good he is with the minimum of units
you can see how he even split a scourge since 1 is only enough
i found flying reaction to the new army quite funny but he defended it quite superbly
While I agree with your first statement... the rest... not so much.
The units and buildings are easy to recognize and keep track of in SC2 as well...even more so as you can select multiple buildings.
The foor they fight on IS important for both BW and SCII, although SCII has more emphasis on it.
Sorry, but what was the point of your comment? Just wondering.. It sounded like you accidentally replied to me
I won't have time to watch all of this today. Who won? The suspense is killing me.
Awesome game! Feel bad for the looser, he really did put up a good fight!
Hey guys notice something about SC1 from SC2? No Death balls. (aka all the units seem like individual entities)
Flash is already transitioning to SCII as fast as possible. But he has realized, that he won't just be bonjwa by default. He said something like: "It's going to take me atleast 2-3 months to get the basics down, and a year to actually be decent"
Who needs a full army? Jaedong did fine with half!
the good old BW days....
You probably dont give a damn but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account..?
I was stupid lost my login password. I love any tips you can give me.
@Jonas Kolton instablaster :)
@Kendall Brayden Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm.
Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Kendall Brayden It worked and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much you really help me out :D
@Jonas Kolton happy to help :D
I don't speak Korean, so I don't know what the commentators are saying, but... I can tell they sound excited. Close enough, right?
awwww look how cute is jaedong´s smile!!!
34:10!!!
Was he crying some?
After watching this, I don't feel bad forgetting about 10 units in the corner of the map (Jaedong doesn't realized his hold-position drones are choking a ramp for like 10 mins, stopping 30 other units from reaching his rally point).
DAMN!!that expression on 25:55 EPIC!!!
i HAVE to see this interview with Jaedong after the game
i can't imagine how he must've felt after 25:04
like, "WTF. I've been playing with half my army this whole time? HOLY SHIT!"
They sorta can but only splash; unless the splash happens to hit on top of another unit they're not aiming for (you can manually aim archons for much greater efficiency in Swarm), they're only doing ~10 damage a hit.
And during all of that ramp block, Flying could've pulled it out with a couple of storms xD
25:56 Flying's face is priceless.
So true!
@mognite
i totally agree. I just don't know how can the 8th team be at 8th place :D
I missed these kind of action , sc2 is really like farmville with attack mode.
I'm a BW elitist and I agree with this. Skill ceiling is such a terrible word. I just love the mechanical aspect of BW, i finish a game having to wipe sweat from my brow with a real sense of satisfaction. So when you lose it doesn't feel like a big deal, you still have fun. But losing in SC2 feels like losing in Chess, because effort doesn't correlate with a win as much, in SC2 its damn well next time I have to do X instead of Y, its a lot less satisfying :).
I learn something new everyday
That look on his face was like "F*ck, i am such a noob!"
Ty, it was delicious
Well this proves that Jaedong can still beat a protoss with half their supply.
This was an epic game, but the commentators sound quiet exited
Does anyone know the name of the song at the beginning? It's so catchy.
Zerg teched kind of late, right? Nice drone block of self. :D
Are they still developing different strategies til this day when they play? I don't follow StarCraft 1 =(
@yurinoiado I don't read much interviews so I don't know for sure, but I don't think he has a GF. Otherwise it's most likely because he has been on a losing streak and that he's the Ace player for his team in a 2-2 situation.
1:35 start
(semi-spoiler) By the way, to those who are watching, look forward to 25:04 ...
this game was sick
may i noe what is flying song name? find find it so long already ...
One does not simply let dem Hydras out of main base.
@StorkLovesSilver
yeah, I don't know if JD can beat someone higher than 71th on KESPA
he was such a monster
Ahahahaha hahhahahaaaha JD made my day LMFAO
love the intro song :D JILL POONG GAH DOO
3 people like to see attached units. ; )
OMG, the Tyrant in the early days :O
how is this his 'early' days.... hes been winning starleagues since 07... this is a 2012 game dude...
lol, early days??? :)))) lol
i really want to know what is the song at the beginning
1 mining base to 3. 40 supply behind. That game was over
All this goes to show is that JD doesn't even need his entire army to win the game. I don't understand how this is shame or embarrassment at all for JD, as he WON even though he had most of his units clogged for 6+ minutes
what is you name the song the flying to intro pleasee !!!!!!!
why does JD cloud when his army is pretty much reavers, zeolots and high templars?
is thr a rally fail on jaedong ?
3 SPARTANS hold jaedong army for 10 minutes!
i've never seen a professional cry with embarrassment after winning lol
I was wondering if he was crying. Out of embarrassment?
geeeee, I wonder who's gonna win........
he gets every single one he wants
crazy stuff HTF Jd didnt spot that freakin big clump blocking his outway bout hmm half a game I think? sure, he automatically 5sz6sh7sh8sth...[rallypoint] but the minimap didnt help him much anyway!
right after critters could finally go out, the hell broke loose :D
it was mega lol game. I was laughing so hard :)))
25:10 MOMENT OF TRUTH
Anytime
Easily highlight match of the night because of Flash's domination of Effort looked too easy.
another meaning of "supply block" ;-)
good song for fight would be DEATH BLOOMS by mudvayne :D
so... who wins? the zerg or the protoss? and which one was Jaedong?
zerg, Zerg is Jaedong. Apparently he was sick when he played the match. He couldn't notice a bunch of his units at his main base.
J.H. Edward Well just look at how much Starcraft graphics changed! The graphics back then... eyesore
Emiya Gerr Graphics were better in BW
While I agree that it is hard to take off games from Korean players in BW, I do not believe that skill is the reason.
Skill, in my opinion, is a balance of micro, macro, decision-making, and builds.
SCII makes micro and macro easier in order to balance the emphasis on these four categories. It was much more intensively focused on micro/macro during BW days. I think it takes an equal amount of skill.. just a different kind.
a new tech by JD, agroup and hide ur units til the end
who win?
what year is this?
probly 2010-2011 but like that
tournaments in 2017 there is
2:56 start
You're right. Selecting multiple buildings at the same time and 'microing' with the use of a single button (forcefield etc) and selecting infinite units at the same time.. Where's the satisfaction in getting a perfect surround as Zerg when every noob can pull that shit off?
y didnt those drones on the ramp move?
i wanna see jaedong playing sc2
Koreans do not play Starcraft II for the following reasons:
1. When the game first game out, the sponsorship was terrible. There was no reason for professional Korean players earning 6 figure salaries to transition into a game without any definite salary.
2. When tournaments started massing in SCII and pay became very good, the league in Korea trapped their players with binding contracts.
Over the next 2~3 years, expect many of the top BW players to transition into SCII as contracts expire.
What name song min 00.03 seg
Jaedong was clearly planning it from the start; he wanted to surprise Flying by suddenly bringing a new army in combat. And it worked!
I remain a BW fan but I think SC2 is okay as well. SC2 doesn't have to equate BW to be good. Perhaps it will get better in time, just like BW transformed SC. I agree both games cannot be skill-capped and that SC2 attracts pro players by being the next big thing after BW.
You both make good points. Unfortunately, they're lost under all that swearing and personal attacks you make at one another. Do they make your points stronger?
`Drones: WE ARE 99%!!! OCCUPY PASSAGE!!!
Archons and Cannons.
damn man he shouldve noticed that so much sooner, oh well.. better game next time :p
Good job, have a cookie.
and he also is considering playing protoss o.O
