Just heard these today at the "SHOW" in Down Town Long Beach and they are a true game changer. They sound amazing, with unlimited flexibility! The company is releasing new products under new ownership and it shows. B&W is back in the game.
Arc is better than hdmi? 1st time I've heard that in a Vid And after he said B&W sorted out all the issues with wireless and then only mentions one issue, flags started going up
Audio Advice alright, having the flex as surround in the back then? But can you you use the Duo as a wider stereo space or will the bar always act as Center, Left and Right?
I have several Formation products (Wedge, Bar, Sub x2, Flex x2) my wedge has been nothing but problems, at 1.5 yrs I had to send it in for repair, and its had nothing but conection probles since. I refuse to spend anymore money on my wedge at this point, if it continues to fail it'll be going to the trash. All that being said the B&W app is very quirky, and the speakers often fall off of the wifi connection. If I knew all of this ahead of time I'd have spent my money elsewhere. I have purchased a couple of B&O products and I am very happy with them, none of the quirkyness, and the sound is as good or better than the B&W products. I give the Formation line a 2 out of 5 stars and will never purchase B&W again.
I think it would be cool if they made speakers that had lighting built in. Classy rings of light around speakers cones..something that says it's alive. Or exterior tubes that have that warm glow..especially on subwoofers that are usually just black boxes..hidden as best the owner can.

From our B&W Rep: "The Bar is DD only in an effort to keep everything simple. It does process 5.1 but does not support it at launch. There are products on the roadmap that will support this in the future."
@Thor Hammer they're not a ugly set of speakers, they're high-quality, design wise they don't take up too much space and you can place it anywhere in your house. That wave pattern is beautiful on the soundbar and other speakers. Unique. Anyway B&W speakers look unique and futuristic.
@Thor Hammer no are you? And if this wasn't good design I doubt B&W would bring it to the market. These speakers are designed to be placed everywhere in your house or in one room if you want the full audio experience, price wise it's not too expensive compared to their other speakers. What would you call bad design? It's premium either way.
Niste boxe ok, dar au luat-o si astia pe urmele apple, sons, bose...Adica, dau droaiecde bani pe ele, dar nu stiu decat dd. Pai la banii cat costa bara, imi iau sistem complet dolby atmos.
HDMI doesn't have a whole lot of benefits on a soundbar. You don't need eARC for the Hirez support because Formation Wireless already supports 24/96. It's a 5.1 channel soundbar so adding HDMI isn't going to enable Atmos or DTS-X anyways.
A dealer located near Hamburg,Germany is offering the whole formation set for a good price. I am 26 and really like this design. The first time i heard the system it already made me buy them. I am hoping the system will be supported and expanded a long time.

Optical.
Very cool! Definitely keeping these on my list
must buy
Can you create a 5.1 surround sound using formation duo, bar, flex and bass? Having duo as stereo, bar as center, flex as surround and bass as... bass
You can configure the the bar and flex and bass as a complete 5.1 system.

@@jonaseriksson2367 He doesn't know or care. He just wants to sell this stuff

Sorry to hear. Thanks for sharing.
I have 2 Formation Wedges. Will the Formation Audio device enable me to make these surround, as in left and right channel?
Not that we are aware of.
Great video
So these combing center right and left and sub can become home theater without receiver ?

Some stereo purists say these speakers have no depth. What do you say?
Nice
I’m getting this entire set for my bedroom !!!

Tooo expensive you better breakout the big money.this new bowers will break the bank.🤣🤣
Bowers 705 S2 $2499 a pair. Rotel RA-1572 Integrated Amp at 120 WPC $1599. Interconnects and other accessories $500. You sure this is too expensive??
If Im young and wealthy? I want speakers that look great besides sounding great. Enough with tower speakers and boxes.

Does wirless kill the sound?
All this marketing BS…
It's a sales pitch....disguised as a review. What really makes this video terrible is the emotionless monotone robot talking about the products.
Just no movie sound processing so no real surround sound. No Dolby Atmos, DTS, etc.,... Pretty expensive for no decoding of movie sound.
They may sound good yet look bloody awful.
terrible design esp the sound bar with no HDMI input. Who would want to put that garbage on a wall is beyond me.

Bowers & Olufson ;)))), B&O Rip off, B&W only make ugly speakers now, what a shame ;)
