- I've been avoiding many things; some are broken that need fixing, and some are just needing to be done but I've just procrastinated. And since I have a big celebration coming up, I wanted to just get the main ones done.

Just a heads-up. If your dollar stores are anything like ours in the US that doorway moulding will probably begin peeling off soon. As you know they have better and more suitable moulding at your home improvement store and it will probably block all of the odor that's leaking through the door opening.

sometimes you just need to buckle down and fix what's broken or what you've been avoiding and it actually brings you such a feeling of fulfillment afterwards. the unfinished plant pot is sooo relatable. i have an olive tree in a pot in much the same situation...with a blanket holding it in place in the pot. i have a real fear my cat would dig at the moss but the way you used it looks so much better and more polished! congrats on 500k 🥳

A tip for next time, perhaps buy multiple balloons at the dollar store and have helium put in them and place them all around your home. My apartment neighbor always cooks really pungent meals and the smells go all the way to my bedroom too. I bought a small air purifier for about $80 and it has been the best investment I've made ever. It really helps with the smell. It might help with your apartment too! 😀

I'm super interested in installing the beams in my living room. I'm not clear if you placed a nail on the actual ceiling or on the cardboard beams. Can you clarify? Also, I went to the Blinds section of my local Home Depot. Which size boxes did you use? Also. did you ask HD for the boxes? What brand? The blinds I saw all had stickers (of the blinds) on them. I'm sorry for all the questions but I'm trying to figure out how you were able to get the boxes without buying the blinds. Also, how you dealt with the stickers? Thank you!

Maybe you should experiment with natural dyes, like maybe a brown crayon? I would love to hear about natural, non smelly, non toxic diy products and whether they work!
I love the faux beams. I’ve been debating if I should do them in my living room but they are only 8ft tall. How high is your bedroom ceilings and do you feel like the beams made the room feel shorter?

You can buy the balloons and helium ahead of time. But if you just buy the numbers in hopes that someone will fill them for you, they sadly generally won't because they can't garantee their reliability. Although it seems thiers (party city's balloons) also didn't last...so you may be able to get a refund.

Girl, go to the pharmacy or if not for sure get your own helium machine, it will be cheaper in the long run for sure. But either way, party city will probably always have the balloons more expensive than other places
