Did you know you can use a brushless multirotor ESC on an airplane and be able to reverse the motor while in flight? It's perfect for crazy 3D flying or water planes! In this video, I show how you can set up the Aikon35A ESC for reversing and general airplane related settings.
I also show how to waterproof the ESC, servos, receiver and BEC.
Now you don't have to go swimming for your plane after a less than optimal landing. Just hit the switch and back that baby out of the corner.

Flitetest has changed so much since he left. When he was there it was fun. But these days it seems really scripted and forced/faked. I like what they've done for RC . But the channel has gone down hill since Dave left ,after Peter left I just stopped watching

Very cool tutorial, very interesting tricks and techniques very precious. Better than a bunch of rc magazines ! Wish I had a teacher like you as a young craftboy, information was difficult to find. Nothing like a club if there is one near your house, and if there is good teachers, good vibes.. otherwise videos like this are precious, small tasks not so spectacular but it's like music, step by step that makes a craftman. And you achieve making it without hysteria or death metal background, that's cool to watch, thanks. Hoping to see many more.

I did it on a delta wing as a brake, its fun.
Or right when you land to act as brakes
On xjets channel it happened. Full Throttle Tim did it for lols.
I think the torque from the prop would roll the plane violently

Reverse in midair was exactly what I was thinking. Be cool to see how little space you can land in. Or for combat purposes, like the Harrier.

So much fun. The stall characterstics on that model look a bit sketchy though...similar to my Icon. And yet it's still fun because floats. So tell me about that sweet looking DLG at the end!

Awsome float plane! Maybe reverse your rudder in the reserved esc mix.
Going to have to show this to a nephew my niece "acquired" a few years back, . . . maybe he might decide to "throw over" the Academic Grind at our little cow-town University, and start educating folks via RUclips. (Quicker and cheaper, than the Traditional Way. {When done with Skill and Verve; the way it is done here.})

Apparently I'm the only one, but I'd like to see you remove epoxy from a PCB! Oh yeah, and reverse power in flight. :-) And soaring lessons with that DLG!
Reverse-rocket-plane, flying backwards through the lower atmosphere, and I think it's going to be a long long time till David builds the reverse-rocket-plane and flies it backwards to impress all all all all, reverse-rocket-plane!
