i was listening to your explanation and you made some good remarks.. without getting lost in details, it would be good for your subscribers to hear you explain or ask thru questions by the players to get knowledge about the why, what and how... what are the key factors for your coaching philosophy players in contact. And I do not get why the tackle bags are the floor. It now looks like player are taking a ball and carry it over a tackled player...
Hi Joop. The bags are on the floor so that the players make sure that their legs are spread wide enough for more powerful driving. The ball at base of tube simulates a pick off the ground and go into contact. Drill can be performed with players holding ball from start position and you don't have to use tackle tubes. As, I mentioned, I like the tubes to help player with leg width. The team used in this video is very experienced and probably does't need the tubes.
