@11:09 yeah, Mando. She was Elia Kane in seasons 2 and 3. Scott’s book Look Out For The Little Guy is actually something you can preorder now. What was once a movie prop is now an actual book you can bring home. It’ll hit shelves in three weeks from today. They didn’t say her codename, but Cassie in her suit is known as Stature. In the comics, she also had Stinger as a second moniker. I feel like the citrus scene is a callback to Scott needing orange slices after getting a double whammer from Iron Man and War Machine. We didn’t get to see Scott’s friends in this movie, but Veb was portrayed by David Dastmalchian - the same actor who portrayed Kurt. The first post-credit scene showcases the Council of Kangs. The three variants that spoke in order of appearance were Rama-Tut, Centurion, and Immortus. The business suit Kang is known as Mr. Gryphon. He’s the head of a company called Qeng Enterprises. The TVA actually pruned a version of his building. Jeff Loveness, the writer of this movie, revealed that parts of his backstory were cut from this film because he felt they would be more fitting for the fifth Avengers film. This paves the way to The Kang Dynasty. Hopefully then, we’ll know what Kang the Conqueror lost and what the Council did to him. I’d take this rumor with a grain of salt, but in the event that they end up making a second season of Moon Knight they’ll consider making Rama-Tut the next main villain. As for the second post-credit scene, I don’t know if Victor Timely is a member of the council and I definitely don’t know if Mobius regained his memories or not, but for now I’ll take comfort knowing he and Loki are working together again. The adventure continues in Loki season 2.
I think you read too much into that, I didn’t see any noteworthy reaction to that reference and I’ve seen her eye rolls. But she would definitely be tired, with a baby and all.
Regarding Ant-Man being giant for an extended time, I figured it was because this is all taking place in the Quantum Realm, which means he's still technically way smaller than normal, thus getting around the rule that being bigger takes more energy.
Truthfully Ant Man has never even followed the rules established IN ANT MAN- they say density is constant, they're just changing the space between atoms and that's why he can't be stepped on and yet they can haul a building around like it's nothing. Marvel hasn't cared about continuity for quite a while. I remember watching Ragnarok before 4 and knowing that Korg has a mom and a stepdad and I guess they forgot that before making the 4th lmao
Personally just felt like he was finally getting used to it, like his body was adapting to the constant changing he's put it through in all the movies. But I could see your answer making sense as well.
The actress among the "quantum people" you couldn't totally place is Katy M O'Brian, she played Elia Kane in season 3 of The Mandalorian. She was the intense "ex" imperial employee that set up Dr Pershing. 👍 I think she definitely deserved a more elaborate MCU character to debut as... I reckon she's the acting chops for it.
Technically this wasn't her MCU debut. She was in the final season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as one of the henchmen of that season's final big bad villain.
Aww no way! I didn't know that, I haven't watched Agents of shield... Still though, from the sheer chills alone that she gave me in Mandalorian she deserves to be much more than henchman also, so both MCU roles she's been given to date in my opinion have fallen a little flat of what she could give the franchise, she would make an excellent marvel villian, but then she runs the risk of type casting herself in villainous roles 🤷♂️ Cheers for letting me know that tho 👍 might give the show a go.
Honestly she's okay- I feel like she might have the acting chops for it but based on the Mandalorian, AoS, and this (which is what Ive seen her in) they haven't given her any opportunity to show any range. She's had like two different expressions
Btw, the reason why Scott doesn't have a problem being Giant Man for an extended period of time is because, while he's huge from the perspective of the quantum realm, he is still subatomic in size. The issue of insufficient oxygen flow from being 65 feet tall simply doesn't apply on this small a scale.
I personally enjoyed it for the most part but kind of just found it forgettable. The whole visual design of the Quantum Realm was great and I loved Jonathan Majors as this variant of Kang the Conqueror. He's not Prime Kang (The main big Kang) from my understanding, could be Prime Kang but regardless he's extremally close to Kang from the comics down to the two scars on his face and the outfit. If his Kang ends up surviving then Marvel could easily bring him back as the Prime Kang but I feel like they're saving Prime Kang for the next two Avengers films as the one behind everything. We could even see hints of him in Loki Season 2 which would be cool. Was not a fan of MODOK in this film. MODOK in the comics was George Tarleton a former employee of Advanced Idea Mechanics or A.I.M. After being turned into MODOK he kills his creators and takes control of A.I.M. so when people think of A.I.M. the character of MODOK comes to mind as well. But for this film they turned Darren Cross into MODOK massively changing the origin of the character. Visually he looks like MODOK a massive head covered in armour and tiny floating legs and arms. I personally just didn't really like this at all both the fact they made Darren MODOK and overall how wasted he felt in this film. Hopefully we get an actual MODOK down the line with a messed up face and connections to A.I.M. maybe even go with George Tarleton. It would be odd to have two MODOK's though unless A.I.M. ends up coming across Darren's body and thus creating a new MODOK. Kangs we saw at the end: Victor Timely - The one Loki saw Rama-Tut - Pharaoh in ancient Egypt Immortus - Older Kang with the beard and cool headwear Scarlet Centurion - Kang with the slick armour with blue lights.

One thing that will forever bother me is that although they are giant in that one scene, the movie takes place in the quantum realm. Which means they are still tiny…
ok with the film but I have been huge on Johnathan Majors since he debuted in Loki, and his back needed surgery from carrying this film! It's actually kinda funny you guess don't know about Majors he had a meteoric rise and he was actually cast as Kang when he was still relatively unknown definitely unknown to be the next *Thanos* of the MCU. At the time he was announced he hadn't even had a starring role be released yet. he was called in almost directly out of theater school and his 2nd film role is what had them interested in him then when the time came they just offered him Kang he didn't even audition his 1st role in TV or film was 2017 and less than 3yrs he's offered to be the new Thanos of the MCU and the reason is clear he's an extremely rare acting talent. Fun fact Holden I know you'd like is that he got into acting after he was kicked out his house(troubled kid) he found refugee in the world of theater and The Dark Knights Heath Ledger performance in particular inspired him to join theater himself and inspire others how Heath did for him.
"can't he be big like that for only a certain amount of time?" "yeah he is only supposed to be big for a little bit, before he gets exhausted" Guys? They are tiny for the whole movie, they are in the microverse.. or well "Quantum Realm" because the MCU wasn't allowed to use the original name. Even less than tiny. He isn't getting "big", he isn't even normal size when he says that he feels like hugging Godzilla. To qualify as "quantum realm" things have to be smaller than a proton (0.84 femtometers. A femtometer is a quadrillionth of a meter), so even when Antman grows 20 times in size, he is still in a subatomic universe.
To answer her question: No, Kang is not more powerful than Thanos. (In the comics he's afraid of Thanos and Thanos killed him in Secret Wars) Kang isn't dangerous because he's powerful (Ultron and Doom are also more powerful than him) he's dangerous because of time hax, resources (endless armies from endless timelines) and a prep god like Batman.
25:02 - OMG AOT 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 37:59 - I think overall alot of people didn't care for Ant-Man for the same reasons. But then there were some people that were going to far and saying they didn't like Kang. And I was like 🙉 Kang is THE best part of the movie. I agree that recasting Kasey was a mistake. I like the other actress better. Idk I just couldn't connect with her as much.
Kang isn't a problem yet. He is the main antagonist in the comics tbh, but when kang gets all his tech from across all of time then he will take over the entire multiverse
The woman you thought looked familiar Katy O Brian plays the spy in Star Wars The Mandalorian series. The replacement reason is unknown. The original in an interview said that she was ready and willing to do the 3rd movie. Actually, it's the grandmothers fault for refusing to tell anyone about Kang.
congrats on baby Hero! this is the first vid of your guys' i've seen in a while because it's the first thing you guys are watching that i've also seen. excited to watch more of your reactions and hope everything with your family goes great moving forward!
I think the biggest issue I have with this movie is that the writer has no idea how Scott's powers actually work. Ant-Man's whole thing (firmly established in the previous films) was that when he shrunk he got stronger, his strength and mass multiplied proportionately to how much he shrank. (Hope even says he has to concentrate on holding back when he punches someone because it's like a compressed bullet) But here Scott says they have to change sizes back to human size when they punch because they're too small to hurt anyone while ant-size to Cassie which doesn't make sense. Not to mention...the Ant family (Scott and the rest of the cast) got shrunk down to the Quantum Realm, to a universe so subatomic it's universe is in the atoms....They should be like invulnerable kryptonians walking around there.
Jen asked if Johnathan Majors was in anything before this besides Loki. First time I saw him was on Lovecraft Country. HIGHLY recommend checking it out, it's only one season and was incredibly underrated.
I think kang is more dangerous then thanos, just the setup for kangs introduction hasnt been that suspensful and thanos got like a bunch if hype for his reveal. Very litttle time till they introduced him and i also think comic wise hes more powerful then thanos without the gauntlet and possible with the gauntlet.
34:46 First off, I wanna say I noticed you at MegaCON back in February. I wish I said hello to you but by the evening of that day I was incredibly tired so I apologize for that. As for Johnathan Majors, I don't know if you were made aware but earlier this month his sentencing went down and luckily for him, he's NOT facing jail time. He's going to be involved with a year-long counseling program (basically therapy) so he can build himself back up. Now what it means for his future as Kang the Conqueror is still uncertain. We heard many different things from Marvel Studios about the fate of Avengers 5, like we don't know if it'll still be the Kang Dynasty or if they'll recast Kang. Speaking of recasting, Colman Damingo is rumoured to be the front man as their replacement but nothing's confirmed yet. If they have said they'll start production on Avengers 5 next year, I kinda doubt that they'll stick especially after Majors' sentencing. So I think the studio will probably wait for the situation to die down and maybe they could bring him back for the role. But, we still need to get thru the rest of Phase 5 and maybe get announcement from D23 even I'm uncertain that'll say anything. But, that's where we're at now.
First off, welcome back!! I enjoyed this movie. This movie gets a lot of hate. And yeah sure, this isn't my favorite marvel movie, not even close, and there are issues I have with it but I still enjoyed it. And I honestly like the recasting of Cassie. Kang definitely carried this movie.
I loved this movie! Definitely a fun one! Something I thought was funny, when Ant-Man( and Cassie) go "Big" in this movie, they are still incredibly Tiny! So there is no reason for them to get tired like they usually do.
Don’t think that version of Kang is dead either. He got sucked into the multiverse engine. He’s probably lost somewhere in space and time. I think Kangs gonna have the potential to surpass Thanos and Killmonger as one of the best villains in the MCU
Kathryn Newton who plays Cassie now is a great young actress. She just was given a bad movie and a bad script for her debut movie. If you havent seen the movie Blockers i would definitely check that out. Really fun movie that she is in as well
I need to ask, during the infinity war when Scott was in the quantum zone, he may have been in there for 5 hours but to everyone else it was 5 years. In this movie they were trapped for hours, so did or did not time work the same way as it did in infinity war.
Scott does say in Endgame that time works differently in the quantum realm, so depending on which part of it they’re trapped in time might go faster or slower. That’s why they needed the wristbands to help navigate it. I just assume that the deeper you go, the more like our time it moves. But I’m probably wrong!
it must depend on how they navigate it and where they go, they didn't spend weeks inside to time travel back and forward in Endgame. Maybe they did come out at a different time but it wasn't enough to be signifcant.
Although this movie definitely has its issues, my personal biggest being the inconsistency in tone, I don’t think it’s AS bad as some people make it out to be. It’s pretty middle of the road for the MCU for me personally. Kang has been one of my favorite Marvel villains for years and I thought he was (mostly) done well in this film up until the ending. The thing some people forget is that Kang himself doesn’t have powers, he’s just a human with vast intellect and insanely advanced weapons/tech. Because his suit was destroyed at the end, not to mention he went the entire film without his Time Chair, he naturally wasn’t as dangerous as he would/will be otherwise. And when it comes to this specific Kang, given he’s Kang the Conqueror it stands to reason he’s THE Kang Prime just like the comics and he will eventually return as THE big bad of it all. Yeah there’s the Council of Kang’s featuring Immortus (the one with the emperor like wardrobe), Rama Tut (Egyptian inspired) and Scarlet Centurion, but ultimately Kang the Conqueror is THE Kang to worry about in the end. And if the comics are anything to go off of, the Kang we see in the Loki post credit scene is Kang Prime. In the comics Victor Timely isn’t a separate variant necessarily, but he’s actually Kang Prime in disguise. So although they’ll all play a big role, “Victor Timely” is arguably the most important one shown due to the potential of him being Kang Prime. Whether Kang Prime means Kang from Quantumania in disguise, or it’s a younger He Who Remains during his Conqueror days is yet to be seen. But in the end that’ll end up being THE Main Kang amongst them all and likely the one victorious in Kang Dynasty
YES!! Welcome back yall, glad that you're all well!!🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉 PLEASE watch across the spiderverse, even if you've already seen it in theaters. Kang was the only great thing about this movie, however............. The Spot> Kang. And Across the spiderverse > Antman Quantumania
I saw it pointed out elsewhere but whenever Kang is onscreen, all the jokes are gone. His statement to Darren about not speaking kinda pressed that point home, but Kang is the kind of threat you don't joke about with!
Johnathan Majors - Kang - was in a big show "Lovecraft Country" and yes, this was definitely his movie! MODOK was always gonna look weird in live-action, I was honestly surprised they went for it but this is probably gonna be the only real way to bring him in, as an obsurd/comedic character and to make it Darren, instead of some character we've never seen before. Kang is pretty strong, as you saw, but his threat is being someone who knows how to travel through time/the multiverse and his technology comes from ...i think it was the 35th century (can't remember if that's when "He Who Remains" stated it in Loki, but yea). The 3 main Kangs we saw in the end are (DON"T WORRY, IT'S JUST THEIR NAMES BUT IF YOU FEEL IT... ..... ..... ....... SPOILERS...? Pharaoh Rama-Tut (he's had run-ins with the Fantastic 4!), Immortus, and Scarlet Centurion. Finally, we have Victor Timely, the Kang that'll be in Loki s2. That means we've seen 6 Kangs seperately from the...million(s?) of Kangs in that one arena.
About Antman only being able to be big for a short time... I thought that too, but then I remembered he's in the quantum realm, and even at that size, he's still subatomic, so technically, he isn't "big" at all. He's still super tiny.
Remember Paul could only be “super sized” for a bit in regular sized world but they were micro. They said Cassie was recast because this actress had more experience/range. 🤷♂️ Wasn’t there another post credit scene? Darren was cringey. I think Kang’s best moment was when he was getting Scott to work with him. His cold personae was great.

Absolutely love Jen repping Korn. One of the best bands of all time.
10:30 if you see creatures with head of color stone, they said it is infinity stones. In Endgame, Thanos said he reduce stones into atom.
ok with the film but I have been huge on Johnathan Majors since he debuted in Loki, and his back needed surgery from carrying this film!
Welcome to Phase 5. Also Quaz can read minds just like Professor X.
"can't he be big like that for only a certain amount of time?" "yeah he is only supposed to be big for a little bit, before he gets exhausted"
Guys? They are tiny for the whole movie, they are in the microverse.. or well "Quantum Realm" because the MCU wasn't allowed to use the original name.
Even less than tiny. He isn't getting "big", he isn't even normal size when he says that he feels like hugging Godzilla.
To qualify as "quantum realm" things have to be smaller than a proton (0.84 femtometers. A femtometer is a quadrillionth of a meter), so even when Antman grows 20 times in size, he is still in a subatomic universe.
To answer her question:
No, Kang is not more powerful than Thanos. (In the comics he's afraid of Thanos and Thanos killed him in Secret Wars)
Kang isn't dangerous because he's powerful (Ultron and Doom are also more powerful than him) he's dangerous because of time hax, resources (endless armies from endless timelines) and a prep god like Batman.
You recognize the one lady from The Mandalorian. She set up Dr Pershing in Season 3.
25:02 - OMG AOT 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
37:59 - I think overall alot of people didn't care for Ant-Man for the same reasons. But then there were some people that were going to far and saying they didn't like Kang. And I was like 🙉 Kang is THE best part of the movie. I agree that recasting Kasey was a mistake. I like the other actress better. Idk I just couldn't connect with her as much.
Damn,, Jen looks great for just having a baby. Glad you guys are back and doing well.
Kang isn't a problem yet. He is the main antagonist in the comics tbh, but when kang gets all his tech from across all of time then he will take over the entire multiverse
Don’t u guys dare apologize for being parents in life. I’m pretty sure we all understand that you guys needed that break. And welcome back🤟
Thank you Holden for reminding me that I haven't seen Detective Pikachu yet! Welcome back Mr and Mrs Hardman!!
The actress that plays the leader of the rebels is from the Mandalorian.
congrats on baby Hero! this is the first vid of your guys' i've seen in a while because it's the first thing you guys are watching that i've also seen. excited to watch more of your reactions and hope everything with your family goes great moving forward!
I think the biggest issue I have with this movie is that the writer has no idea how Scott's powers actually work.
Ant-Man's whole thing (firmly established in the previous films) was that when he shrunk he got stronger, his strength and mass multiplied proportionately to how much he shrank. (Hope even says he has to concentrate on holding back when he punches someone because it's like a compressed bullet)
But here Scott says they have to change sizes back to human size when they punch because they're too small to hurt anyone while ant-size to Cassie which doesn't make sense.
24:08 funny thing is Zuse from Tron Legacy reminds of Krylar from this movie
21:13
Holden: "So anyways, Spider-Man..."
Jen: 🙄
I feel you Holden 🤣
26:37 dumbest line since “somehow palpatine returned”
I think kang is more dangerous then thanos, just the setup for kangs introduction hasnt been that suspensful and thanos got like a bunch if hype for his reveal. Very litttle time till they introduced him and i also think comic wise hes more powerful then thanos without the gauntlet and possible with the gauntlet.

First off, I wanna say I noticed you at MegaCON back in February.
Rewatching the marvel movies you've already seen in the cinema is pretty cool and you should do it for any you may have missed 100%
There’s a theory of Kang when he “died” he went into the beyond and he’s going to be the Beyonder from the comics
AWESOME use of the Attack on Titan theme song!! lol.
welcome back you guys, excited to see new stuff from you :)
I wanna see "My Friend Watches" for Quantumania.
OhHH GOTG3 on Saturday. Special guest ... will it be Matt?
The Woman you guys can’t place (the quantum realm warrior woman) is the imperial traitor in the latest season of the Mandalorian
Ant-Man Films Ranked
1. Ant-Man
2. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
3. Ant-Man and the Wasp
Kathryn Newton who plays Cassie now is a great young actress. She just was given a bad movie and a bad script for her debut movie. If you havent seen the movie Blockers i would definitely check that out. Really fun movie that she is in as well
That comment of the day caught me off guard 😂😂
Omg the Attack on titan theme 24:55
7:45 did I hear the woman on the plane????
Jen, you are one of few who liked the CGI in this one.
13:42 this is one of the things I never understood. Every hour in the quantum realm is a year. She couldn’t ya know what for A DAY AND SIX HOURS? 💀
ATSV and GOTG3 with Matt!
Yeah!! I would love to see Matt too
Can't wait to come back in 10 years when you start showing these movies to your child.
Special guest Saturday? Could it be the famous Matt?
About Antman only being able to be big for a short time... I thought that too, but then I remembered he's in the quantum realm, and even at that size, he's still subatomic, so technically, he isn't "big" at all. He's still super tiny.
Jen is going to cry in Guardians of the galaxy for sure
Let’s goooo Holden and wife!!!!
In Multiverse he have More Variant Kang Principal : Immortus, Rama Tu , Scarlett Centurion and he have Concil of Kang in Multiverse
Remember Paul could only be “super sized” for a bit in regular sized world but they were micro.
They said Cassie was recast because this actress had more experience/range. 🤷♂️
Wasn’t there another post credit scene?
Darren was cringey.
I think Kang’s best moment was when he was getting Scott to work with him. His cold personae was great.
The portal they took to get back home looks visually similar to the portal Aida created in Agents Of Shield. Very mesh-like and geometric.
special guest is matt right!?!? right 👀👀👀
My comment is I agree with you 2. On each point. Especially Holden’s opinion of Cassie. This version of her, (not the actress) was hella annoying.
I know this is a very different type of movie, but have you guys ever watched TRAINING DAY (2001)? Great film!
